Imagine working for a company for 16 years, being the lead engineer on this project, and seeing the bike handed out to somebody else for the "first" ride out lol As an engineering student, I truly think these guys deserve honor of the inaugural first ride! Lol

They need to keep making bikes like this and with colors. This bike reminds me so much of the era I love of Harley paint jobs from 99-05. Looks a ton like luxury rich red from back in the day.

I'm sure some people will dig it but satan, flames, skulls, etc have never really done it for me as far as aesthetics go. I still think the low rider st is a big win though. I'm not the biggest fan of red vehicles but that's still a good looking paint job.

Just in case no one has said it and you haven't checked. The 107 is still offered in the base model of all the touring and Electra Glide Standard. Love the color.

Also in EU and AU on the Sport Glide, the Grand Daddy of the LRST. Same bags, 2 seater, and forward foot pegs on a 107.

Best out of the box bike ……. Ever. Really like where Harley is going. All my Harley’s have upgraded….. everything (motor, suspension, fairing etc.). Thank you HD design and engineering.

Paint is awesome, but what really confuses me is why they didn't paint the covers below the seats as well; makes the entire paint job look incomplete.

The 1983 fxrt this bike is modeled after did not have a color matched frame cover under the seat. I know it looks dumb af, but once you see the 83 fxrt you’ll catch it!

@@FMFHATCH I hate when people cover up garbage by saying "that's the way it's always been done". Just because the original was that way doesn't mean you have to continue to do it that way. If you wanna be a "purist" then the 117 should be seen as blasphemy! And that fancy new suspension, pure evil!!!

The bars are good for a short rip, sure. But as someone who’s done about 6K miles on this bike and a 750-mile one day trip with the stock bars and a Saddlemen, I will say they are FAR from ideal for anything over an hour. PS Welcome to Wisconsin

Damn sharp-looking bike, even for someone like myself who's not a huge HD fan. Would have been nice if they'd included maybe a couple of extra high-end tweaks in addition to the paint and stereo, like maybe a full Stage 1 kit, LED lighting all around, and some nice premium red leather (or, hell, even stitching) on that saddle just to make it pop. (Let's be honest... with increasing numbers of riders putting Sena or Cardo systems in their helmets, sound systems aren't the big deal they once were...)

In my humble opinion. I would have to disagree with your comment on club style originating out of so-Cal. Most cen-Cal ppl (Modesto heading toward San Fran) would say it started in that area. That being said, that is an amazing paint job. Curious if the Scout rogue could keep up 0-100 vs the 117.

The scout rogue is lighter and makes around 85 hp to the wheel. These factory 117's make around 92hp to the wheel. I believe the scout rogue is around 560lbs and these bikes are around 700lbs. the scout will be faster from a dead stop. In a roll race, the low rider should be faster due to the torque difference.

The Electra Glide Revival was worth it IMO. As to this, feels more like a big cash grab for HD. Just don't feel like the bike is worth that price point. I would rather get a full size bagger at that point. And yes the 107 still comes in the Road King standard, Road/Street Glide standard, Electra Glide, and Softail Standard.

I would absolutely scoop one up if I could get it at MSRP.....however its going to have a STUPID markup at any local dealer to me. 28k is MSRP....betting my dealers will have it at 35k minimum...

@@FMFHATCH Crazy as it sounds...the dealers on the East coast are even worse than the West coast with the markup game, as they dont have as much competition and Laidlaw is more about volume (hard to do volume if your roads are covered in snow 5 months out of the year and theres only 2 dealers in 200 miles). My last bike, I went from Raligh NC and got it from SAvannah Harley instead to avoid markup and dealer fee's that were outrageous.

The 107 is in the FLRT, FLHX, FXST, FLHR, FLHT, and especially the FLTRX (which you JUST bought one of those last year lol)

$6250 more for paint and radio according to H-D's website. Wow. The paint is arguably worth the money, but for that kind of money you could step up to a touring model, unless that's not your thing. I'm in the wait till 2023 and hope there's something special for the 120 year anniversary. Do wish they would change the bags to open on the top, that sideways opening bag is what makes this bike a "no go" for me. It does look awesome though.

Nice Paint for sure. Price? I feel the MSRP is substantial. To pay 12k extra? Crazy! After all how many CVO owners get the "market adjustment" applied to the trade in value. But, there are 1500 people that will have the excess income or wealth that it just won't matter to them. On a good note - Indian tried the JD versions, they didn't even come close to a CVO or the El Diablo. Harley still does it best.

I feel they should have done some more detailed things to stand out. Different colored combo push rod , Tappet covers , wheels , red stitched seat etc to make it more desirable and the gauge of course that display is horrible imo

So after the factory installed audio which is a grand-ish this is a $6k paint job? It's absolutely beautiful but not for that much. Mine as well wait for a base model red version. Also just my opinion but the devil horns and tail are kinda lame lol
