Love your description and review. You used words that sum up a Harley……Cool, Character, Torque, did I mention COOL! They are not the best bikes, far from it. If you want to buy the best bike, buy a Gold Wing. It does everything brilliantly and has the emotional connection of a refrigerator. But if you want a bike that makes you feel alive, you buy a big engined Harley Davidson.
👍 Thanks Mark, glad you liked the review. Haha yes I loved this bike!! Exactly right, it really is all about the feeling that these bikes give you. Cannot beat a massive V-Twin engine and cool looks to go with it. A true freedom machine. Cheers
Many thanks I appreciate it, really glad you enjoyed the review 👍 A lovely bike and that engine, gorgeous. Yup Harley certainly know how to charge you for it!! I would love to have one some day 😁
👍 Nice I thought you might like this one! I loved it haha, the engine is just brilliant. I know they are soo expensive, one day I would like to own one! Cheers glad you liked it
I’ve test ridden this actual bike from Abingdon- I struggled with the riding position, over arched plus the gear change was not great due to the lever being quite high versus the foot peg. Additionally, the heat from the exhaust cooked my right leg in slow traffic!
Hi, I did notice the "different" riding position and the high gear lever actually. I found I got used to it very quickly. Funny that you mention it though, as I definitely noticed it at first.
@@redangrevival no-one actually tells you when you buy a new Harley these days that the gear lever is so easily adjustable.. Basically undo one bolt and nut and the lever slides off through its teeth and grooves. Adjust up and down to suit your foot/footwear size..
HD way of measuring power outputs is let’s say optimistic. As an ex HD rider of 21 years things ain’t what they used to be but thems the breaks I guess.Aimho.
Meh....WAY overpriced. I fell for Harley BS back in 2005 and bought a 06 Soft tail Duce new off the lot that was around $24k all in. I disliked the oil burning turd so much I ended up selling it 3 years later with around 6k miles on it. Paying all that $ for a bike that basically has not changed at all since the 80's beside upping the CC of the engine every other year is a joke.
Cooor that is interesting to hear!! They are definitely love/hate bikes. I really enjoyed the ride, but I suppose the owner experience may be different.
@@redangrevival Oh I loved the hell out of it at first, but once the new wore off I couldn't see what the fuss was about. They do make some beautiful bikes, but they are way over hyped over here for sure. I have a buddy that's a die hard HD fan boy. We were arguing the other day because according to him, no one does any touring on anything but big HD or Indian style bikes. I told him you only really see that here in the states. He's a closest Triumph fan, but will not admit it lol
Haha I would have taken your side in that argument!! I must admit I would love to get over to the States and do some big touring on a Harley 😁 I bet they do become a bit of a common sight over there, fair bit rarer in the UK. I would love for Triumph to do a large capacity cruiser to compete with Harley!!
@@redangrevival oh yeah, you of all people know all about traveling on a triumph. I told him "I know a guy who" in reference to you, that rides the hell out of a bike just like mine with zero issues. Now if you are taking the long stretches of Freeway that we have here for hours on end then I can see where a huge cruiser would have it's benefits, but those highways tend to bypass all the stuff worth seeing. I agree, triumph needs to build something along the lines of that new cruiser from BMW, but keep the classic looks.
Another great review. Would love to own one but as a with other comments it’s to expensive for a every day working man. If Harley want to give me a huge discount 👍🏻🤪. Keep safe.
Thanks Keith glad you liked it 👍 Yup it is very expensive, I suppose most Harleys are!! I won't be having one yet! Haha same, if I get 25% off I will consider it!! 😁
Just picked up a '23 LRS with 2BR exhaust and tune. All black and badass looking. One cylinder is bigger than all 4 on my Z900RS. Super smooth and torque city. Rattles my neighbor's windows and dentures. Even the dogs start barking as i go by. And chicks dig this thing. Head and shoulders above my '79 shovelhead Superglide. But i's cool in it's own way. Great video.
My friend, I'm very happy for you. But if you don't know. Harley Davidson has a crate engine for that bike a 131! So what I'm saying is if you think that 117 gets up and goes which it does trust me I have it on mine but I have the 131 also and you wanna talk about get-up-and-go .... WOW!
I just got a great deal on a new 23 model, it’s getting a black chrome bassani exhaust and a stage 4 kit, set up in the club style with the extended warranty.
Thanks so much I appreciate that 👍 Probably a 120th anniversary Harley Davidson Heritage Classic and possibly a KTM 1290 Adventure! It changes every day though 😂
👍 It is certainly a cool motorbike! Same I just hate the way number plates have to be so big on motorbikes, ruins the look. Gotta love the 117 engine from Harley 😁 Cheers
@@redangrevival You would think with all the wisdom Harley has they would recognise that the number plate placed further down would act as an extended mud guard.. I'll have a word with them!
How does the power feel compared to the 1200 Speedmaster. I have the Triumph and love the acceleration and power delivery but was thinking of changing to this as it is physically a little bit bigger.
Hi Joe, it is actually meant for bicycles!! However it just fits most motorbikes so well. I bought it in a shop called Halfords, in the bicycle section 👍
Harley Low Rider S great looking bike was in the process of buying one my first Harley after 40 plus years of riding motorcycle, but i came across another bike bigger stronger faster that make me decide other wise a 2020 Triumph Rocket 3 GT, as a cruisers lover i was hooked with is 2500cc engine 221 of pure torque i new that the Harley didnt stand a chance to win my heart even tough its was my dream bike for so long.So bye bye Harley and hello Triumph.Ride safe mate.
👌 haha awesome!! I am yet to ride a Rocket 3, but wow I like the sound of it!! I guess you didn't miss the V-Twin from in the Harley then? Great to hear you love the Rocket I must schedule a ride on one soon 😁 Congrats on your bike. Enjoy and all the best!
😂!! I know it is crazy! It is a lot of bike and engine, but they are very expensive. You are buying the name basically. Too much in my opinion, but I bet I own one one day 🥴
