Cool Chris, I wish I was the guy to do the first 100 Miles on that 2020 Busa. I had a Busa in Thailand. A Thai mechanic said he could put a little turbo on it to get it to 350km/h. Only got to 347km/h But it got there real fast. Only 4 lbs of turbo but man it felt great. Thank you for your show Chris. I love it.

My first bike ever was a brand new 2000 Hayabusa. I've been waiting 22 years to replace it with a better one. Suzuki hasn't built it yet I don't guess. I've had over a dozen other liter bikes and such since but it looks like my original Busa will be a family heirloom. That's not a bad thing. I still love it as much as the day I brought it home. I was hoping to buy a new one this gen for it to hang out with but this isn't enough. I want a new one that's as crazy and amazing now as the original was when it was introduced.

Happy with it. It's not the factory power, currently or unrestricted that it has going for it, it's the potential baked in it that's quite good. It has been a legendary powertrain for stupid amounts of power already, and it's only gotten more durable this time around. Plus the added conveniences of electronics, cruise, better styling, low drag, are all great. ZX-14R looks quite aged in comparison.

So with no tune, and just an exhaust it's laying down claimed crank HP at the wheel... that's pretty stout 😎. I feel like Suzuki was pretty conservative with their rating on this new Busa.
@Ritalie
@Ritalie 3 года назад
That is like 18 more horsepower loss in the drivetrain, so they under rated it by a lot? A 600cc sportbike loses about 18 horsepower to the rear wheel, and a Hayabusa has a thicker chain and bearings, so probably loses closer to 20 or 22 horsepower in the drivetrain?
@friktionrc
@friktionrc 3 года назад
Probably done on purpose….they know as long as their new bike meets the respective enviro regulations for whatever country the bike is sold in, they aren’t as worried about being precise with their ‘claimed’ HP because there’s plenty of modding companies/tuners out there who’ll take this beyond any HP that comes out of the factory….and now all these new bikes have so much electronics…in time to come you’ll see the next generations ‘unlocking’ or ‘jail breaking’ their bikes instead of only adding on performance parts.
@caperformance_motorsports
@caperformance_motorsports 2 года назад
@@friktionrc well that’s what we’ve been doing for 20+ years now is cracking the code to flash alotta ecu’s , in the automotive world there were “chipped” or eprom ecu’s that we chipped and socketed to then add a tune file . Nowadays everything (newer) is flashed

After 2500 produced Yamaha caved in to insurance companies and toned the bikes down. I love the crotch rockets however riding my Vmax is on another level. I have an extra Vmax engine from an 86 and I believe I’m going to use that one for racing because it should be a fun build and a good time.

That's nice n all but I don't know of anything yammer hammer made that was fast. Torque dirt bikes, no top end. Lot of noise for nuttin I mean. It's still a 900 pound cruiser. 200 hp maybe. Maybe a quick 0 to 60 for a cruiser but the newer gens are still faster. You wont beat any stock 600 bike with a vmax and need to dump the kitchen sink in mods to get it any faster. Just don't see why you'd want to

Why? To keep the top speed under 186 mph probably. And then emissions. Hopefully that single front brake will stop it in the 1/4 mile.

My single front rotor busa stops just fine and it has more power

We stop from 233mph with one front rotor. I'm pretty sure this bike will be fine.

Does it pull to one side? I noticed that when I removed one front disc.

Well, I tried it myself on my Vstrom. Left rotor removed. Only lost about 20% of the braking power. Lost about 10lbs of weight too. :) Cheap 2 piston calipers.

@@TeamMooreMafia 4 piston caliper is good enough. Your bike probably weighs 50 lbs less than a stocker too.

Those are really bad numbers for a 1300cc. The aprilla RSV4F makes 220 hp on pump BMW S1000r makes about 205 hp. Unless this makes 225 HP tuned i ain't going to buy it

Yah the new Busa sucks. Slower and less power than all modern liter bikes and is overpriced for what it is. The ZX14 is a much better alternative but they are fazing those out unfortunately.

They don't produce that sort of torque tho .

Why wouldn’t the manufacturer use 4-O2 sensors??? Fuel trim adjustments per cylinder with alarms if too large of corrections are made.??? Too much money? It seems that could maximize further the peak power and balance of any engine.

Far to much money and complexity for a manufacturer to mess with. They aren’t worried about every last little bit of power and running it on the edge. They’re good with getting it good enough to be safe and have to focus on passing emissions.

Isn't the difference in power between 5th gear and 6th gear just due to the gear ratios, not restrictions in the ECU?

the akrapovic exhaust is listen much bether, that exhaust listen like a Honda VTEC with a Spoon exhaust!!!🤣😂🤣but that exhaust makes more hp than the full exhaust from akrapovic, they makes 179hp what i see in a nother video on a dyno, and that makes 185hp realy Good 👍🏼😉👌🏼 👍🏼😉👌🏼
