i really wished the sport in the US had a sunroof and blind spot but i liked the sport better than the hatchback and touring ( wasn’t in my price range ) idk just something about the sport that caught my eye even though it lacks what canada has . also it’s gonna be my first car so i’m satisfied 💗
Going for a '24 sport sedan (cdn version) this fall. Planning on getting it in aegean blue metallic. Definitely a massive step up from the 10thgen, it feels and looks more premium. Coming from a '19 lx sedan.
@@adibhossain9889 I’m not sure. It’s set to be built today. They said that’s the ETA and that I should see it mid September. I’m hoping it’s actually built this week and doesn’t get pushed back. I’m unsure if mine will be considered a 22 or a 23. They never really said.
@@adibhossain9889 I’m not sure. They just told me they had one allocated to them back in July but never said if it was a 2022 or 2023. I’m hoping for a 23 since it’s just being built this week.
I live in Canada and just ordered a 2023 Sport. I didn't realize that the sunroof and other features were only included in the Canadian models, got so confused when watching some other videos saying it wasn't included lol!
Hey man thanks for the video finally someone from Canada talking about the sport, I’m from Ontario as well and waiting for my sport to come in! I didn’t even realize we get blind spot monitoring and a heated wheel
Haha no worries, there were ZERO Canadian reviews when I was in the market so I figured I’d make. And def bro u won’t regret it, Canadian models get so much for the money we have an advantage. Giving up leather seats and wireless charging is more than reasonable for these black windows sills and sport wheels
Hi bro… Nice review. I just booked touring sedan in same colour last week. Dealer told me that It will come around June. Let’s hope… I can’t wait long..so excited..!!!
glad to see finally a canadian review I booken mine like 3 months ago same color and still waiting for it However, cool car man Ands whats the tint % on this one
@@MrSingh-fc3si it has 5% ceramic tint, and no wireless charger, that is for the touring model. Congrats on buying it, mine took 3 months as well it is worth the wait though
The lights are wired to the 12V plug in the bottom centre of the car, under the climate control. Also I’ve had zero issues with the blind spot monitoring, no false alarms.. works quite well
I wish i could get this car as my first car but of course anything over 20k is a little wild for a first car, does anyone have any suggestions for something similar under 7k or so?
Hey I just saw this.. been a while haha. U end up getting it? The car looks completely different now check it on @spark_civic on ig. I’ll add u to our group
It’s tolerable, it gets distorted at louder volumes.. if music system is important to u 100% get the touring the 12 speaker with sub is amazing. I still prefer the sport because of the look (black accents, and wheels) versus the tourings chrome wheels and windows. But if u don’t care about that stuff touring is much more worth it. U get faster engine too
Oh I would love to get the SI haha, mainly because I am a student and it was a little out of the budget. Also I don’t really want a manual as a daily. And thank you, we live in the same area
If you're getting this 11th gen Civic and you havent owned a Civic before or not over the last few years, this is a great vehicle. However, I own the 10th gen EX-T (1.5 liter Turbo) and I think my 10th gen is superior to the 11th gen. 10th gen EXT gets 174 hp/162 lb/ft of torque. The trunk is bigger. The glove compartment is bigger. Theres on more USB port (for a total of two). Theres an extra large cup holder. And it has the side view camera thats FAR superior to the Honda Sensing warning systerm (Honda saved a lot of money by ditching the sideview camera). All that is STANDARD on my 2018 Civic and it's about $1K cheaper to the 11th gen.
You are right, Honda did a lot of budget cuts for the 11th removing the side camera and few other things like u said (rear heated seats) in some trims, etc. But having driven a 10th gen for years before I can say the 11th handles much better. The engine is the the same k20c but retuned from the 10th.. better response and drive. The 1.5t models for 11th gens get 186HP. And ofc the revamped interior! I prefer it more than the 10ths, just something completely new. In other words there almost completely diff cars, 10th gen hatches r still my favourite but I’d say 11th is a big upgrade
I have a 2007 honda civic hybrid. I do doordash and drive just average 700 miles a week. She's got some issues if it's gonna cost too much to repair everything I been thinking about a brand new car. I spend most of my day in a car anyway it might as well be nice. The AC went , the stereo went, brake lights won't work, and now the E brake light won't turn off.
What mileage is it at? Yeah, if you can move on up brother. About time for that hybrid battery to go too. 15 years is about all you can hope for on them. Best of luck either way. Also Elantra is pretty cheap too and they handle your maintenance for three years. That’s what I’m considering between right now.
@@OptimizeWithRajan agreed, can’t go wrong with Elantra they are beautiful. They have a lot of maintenance issues though so be careful, unless you plan on only using for 3-5 years

I wish I could have bought this car, I was looking for a Subaru sport, or Camry sport but this blows them away. We got a rogue sport instead,or I should call it a rogue Short! And probably 20,000 less.Maybe next time.
I'm looking to buy a civic after someone stole my car but I've been watching reviews of it but APPARENTLY the trim levels mean different things in the Canadian videos so I got so confused wondering where the features were on some videos
Haha yea, Canadian versions come with a lot more features within the trims - the American sport model lacks a few minor things. I was confused when I watched reviews as well and learned that. You should definitely get the civic though its an amazing car. so far zero issues.
@@danoz9511 I'm actually trying to Dealerships say they have 2022 in stock on their sites but none in person And a used 2022 is more expensive than a new 2023 Need a new car cuz my car got stolen but pretty excited Put down a down payment and the redesigned civic grew on me alot especially after seeing it in person
@@luisgaona3044 the sedan sport and hatch sport are exactly the same with just different bodies obviously… and yea sport comes with sunroof, blind spot, heated steering, leather steering… it’s def an upgrade from the base model

Yea it’s quite illegal, ur right 30% is the limit on the front and u can go dark as u want for rear.. it’s the same gamble as having exhausts etc, just have to roll the windows down when you go past police lol, the annoyance is worth it for me.. black windows is a must
@@danoz9511 Yo thanks for the answer. Just wondering how do you feel about the road noise inside the car when you go up to >100kmh on the highway? I have watched so many American reviews about the sport model and all of them said the 18" wheels make the cabin noise sounds very bad LOL... just wondering if our Canadian version does any better in terms of that...
@@nguyenbachtheawesome honestly man, the road noise is no issue… yea the 18 inch wheels give a little bit extra noise (it’s the same as American) but 95% of the time I’m listening to music I never notice it. It’s not enough to be a bother
@@danoz9511 hey how long did you have to wait to receive the car? I called a dealer in Ontario today and they said wait time is about 3 months which is ridiculously long …
Pricing is definitely overpriced.. with the already inflated prices and markup in this time it def doesn’t feel like you’re buying a “civic”. I think the tech and styling makes the price worth it though
@@osmirod1 because Canada is not an extreme capitalist country like the US. In America, even when the specs are so much worse and the price are so much higher due to markups (yea, no consumer laws), cars are still being sold like crazy. Honda can save so much $ by removing those features and the revenue are still insane :D
@@RetroKidNoakes if you don’t care too much about like a sunroof and blind spot too much.. aesthetic wise the sport tops everything w the wheels and black accents overall best looking trim imo
@@danoz9511 yeah I’m in US. Was contemplating the ex. It’s weird they gave the sport 18 inch wheels and 17s for the EX lol But yeah I’m check both of them out and see which I prefer more
Almost a year in.. love the car even more since the day of this recording. Drives perfectly, been good on maintenance. Have been many modifications done since the video it looks completely different now
Anyone else just think lane assist and crap is just useless? Like, I wanna drive the car, is it for new drivers? If so it's just teaching bad habits I think it's just terrible
Honda Automotive is a dead company walking. Honda’s inventory (at least in North America) is down 83 percent. In other words, Honda is running out of cars to sell. Be leery about purchasing anything new from Honda. If it goes under, who’ll honor the warranty?
I mean I already voided everything I could possibly void so not worried about that. Didn’t know about that statistic though, they seem to be selling a lot of cars no?
