As much as I love the old Roberto Grande and the Dyna version of the Low Rider S, if I were going to plunk money down for a new bike, I think it would be a version of this Indian Chief. They got a lot of things right (design wise) with this one. Also, I like your sporadic commentary :)

I'd like to think I provide an "every man's" take on the bikes I ride. If you want a well-formulated, in-depth look at a bike, I'm afraid I'm gonna fall short. But, if you wanna come along with a short guy who's ridden a ton of different bikes and get his reaction, stick around 🤓✌🏽 And, yeah, the Chief is an excellent blend of old-school meets tech upgrades. Even the way the digital display mimics the analog speedo is a great blend, and a compromise for those who want more features in the a similar package.

Now this bike I like. Not a fan of the spoke wheels, but I love everything else. The TFT with the Ride command, the chunky tires and forks, the stance, as well as the colours and graphics. I could see myself getting this over a Harley. Because I wouldn’t have to invest a lot of money to get power out of it.

In the past I haven't really dug the spoked wheels, but they're starting to grow on me. On this bike, though, I agree. A set of polished or matte black rims would be a nice touch. 🤓

Good video, thanks, there are not many reviews of the Chief Dark Horse Bobber. I got one since a month and i doing the break in. i am wondering about the RPM you use if it is normal above the range of 3000. I ask this because it seems not sure)the "official" statement is don´t go above 3000, is that true or is it because you are in Sport mode? I see you go even above the 4.500rpm! Otherwise, i would like to go above the 3000 when break in finish. Just one more question: Which one do you prefer, this one or the HD low rider? (perfomance, tech, cost)

I've heard the same thing from H-D dealers when they let you take a bike that they're trying to sell (keep it under 3K RPM). Demo truck bikes are there for riders to ride hard and test beyond what you can from a dealers inventory. And, between the LRS and the Chief, it's kind of a personal preference. I think tech wise, you're gonna get more bang for you buck with the Chief. Performance isn't always a numbers thing, especially with cruisers. I personally prefer the feel and the ride quality of the LRS to the Indian, but again, it's more preference than anything. ✌🏽

I'm curious if the ride stays comfortable above 60 mph. A lot of bikes vibrate a fair bit harder when the speed gets that high.

@5:27 You do have self cancelling signals, you re-applied it when changing lanes (good on you). I am 6-4 and I find the forward controls almost not forward enough. I have a stage 2 kit and so have an even larger air cleaner and yes it presses against my inner thigh but it isn't a big issue. The seat could be a little wider and nicer on long rides. Oh and pull over and mess with the controls, you made me nervous for you.

Yeah, the messing with the menu thing is probably something I'm going to learn the hard way 🤦🏽‍♂, though I still had head up on the road, I just zoomed in for sake of the video. I think almost all stock seats will end up getting replaced for one reason or another. Be it comfort, style and/or preference. Thanks for watching, enjoy your bike and ride safe ✌

IMO, I think the LRS is a more comfortable ride, but the Chief Bobber feels sportier. To each their own, though. I'd go for whichever one is going to hold your attention and you'll be happier with in the long run. ✌🏽

Is there a suspension upgrade available for this bike ( at least a inch of increase in travel + fully adjustable)

Why would you buy this,w hen you can buy a 1980's Honda cruiser for $1000 that has run like a swiss watch for 40 years, and will run like a swiss watch for another 40. Did I mention, you also get free rear shocks?
