Not the sort of bike you usually see Chris riding, is he beginning to mellow in his old age or is he onto something? He headed out to Chamonix in France to ride the Indian Motorcycle Pursuit on some of the most scenic roads we've ever seen.

Nice review! Most of us here in your channel, are riding sportier bikes, but I perfectly understand this feeling of “ok, slow down, no options here…!” Excellent point. Thanks for that video.

Went from a zx6r to a stripped down HD tourer and I can honestly say I have a lot more fun at and just above the legal limit.

I still have my sport bike, but my 48 is plenty of fun power wise (other than no wheelies), it's the ground clearance and damn near tank slappers when hitting sweeping corners hard that makes me dislike it. If the suspension was as sorted as my Kawasaki (or even my sister in law's Triumph Street Twin) I'd be happy.

I rode a Indian Springfield 40 miles home from the shop for a friend one cold October evening.It was smooth and pulled like a freight train.Maybe 200 pounds lighter than the one you tried .. They are a lot of fun .I have a 500 pound Street Scrambler for the back roads I live on .. FIts my riding better :)

The bike looks impressive, as one would expect from Indian, but I really enjoyed the location footage, including the beautiful cows at the end. Now, if Chris could try to emulate his Hypermotard 950SP and HVE videos with this bike……

It's been done. I saw a video of a man that had put some Conti tkc80s on a late beater 1980's Goldwing and ripped the shit out of it off road at a professional level. I think my anus was more puckered watching him than his was actually doing it.

Great review, as usual from Chris. The thing is with these cruisers, why not simply buy a K1600 then ? More tech, more comfort, more power, another charismatic engine, about 70kg lighter...

Challenger owner here. I like the looks, v-twin engine, similar comfort (more features on BMW, but better riding position on Indian). But the BMW is definitely the better value hands down. I just like the Indian more

Nice bike with a nice price 🤨🤨 $45,000 CDN I bought 3 motorcycles for less than what this costs. And good luck getting one this year, our local Indian dealer has 3 bikes for sale 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ my buddy rides the Indian challenger and it’s gorgeous build quality. But I bought a brand new Triumph Trophy SE and a brand new Bonneville T120 for the same price as that bike. These bigger cruisers are well served in North America but I’d dread trying to use one day to day in Europe.

My favourite bike ever was the 2012 Victory Cross Country Tour, and this looks a lot like it only newer. However at literally double what I paid in 2012 I will have to pass. But it just looks so darn good ;)

For making big Miles, is still would chose for the BMW K1600 GT. Because I cant contain my self en het frustrated when life goes “to slow”. So its a mater of time before I ride my self from a mountain pass the vertical way😅

You don't sit on a cruiser like you are on a attack mode riding a Ducati Street Fighter :) Doesn't matter how good you are, dropping it in a parking lot is inevitable with that kind of weight. You may have a gravel or wet leave and it is gone.

I understand the style and look side, I just don’t like the agricultural engineering…. You can have the look but with better dynamics and performance just by using ‘normal’ engineering practices used by most of the bike industry. Engineer it right, engineer it light. The engineers on cruiser projects, when making a bracket seem to just reach for some heavy 1/4” or 1/2” steel flat bar stock and never consider other materials, thicknesss and machining etc.

Well I suppose that with modern engineering such a thing would end up being something akin to a Goldwing or K1600. I completely agree with on the mass of these things, it's as if it was a matter of pride for the engineers to have each bit of the bike made as heavy as can possibly be.

Well I guess the engineers at Polaris don’t know anything by using a complete aluminum frame on most of there bikes and Bosch ride technology for lean angle abs and traction control! Don’t assume this is just like an HD because it’s American made bike! Know some facts before shooting your mouth off! Oh by the way this bike has radial mount brembro brakes and inverted forks and an electronic adjustable suspension! Sounds a lot like your beloved BMW or GW but with a lot more style and character

I have no doubt it's a nice bike to ride in a relaxed style and comfort but if I had the money I still wouldn't buy a bike like this. It's just too big and heavy. I'd feel much more at ease on a bike that weighted half as much as this. (Still 200kg) Each to their own and all that. Not for me.
