One of your most lighthearted and fun videos in a while. Jack powersliding through Mark's analysis was hilarious... Love that y'all can still take the piss while making a point.
I love that Jaguar just took the Charger/Challenger route with this car, they said let's make this car decent and all the other problems can be ignored with a Supercharger V8 lol
i have a 2022 p450 convertible in white, 20" black jag wheels, lowered it 1.5", spaced the wheels out 25mm, painted both the rear black valance, front lip body color, and i love this car! those two are a bit harsh on the car, and i know they were having fun, but it is an absolutely fabulous car.
This channel has been getting back to its roots lately. Combining dead pan humor, sarcasm, great reviews, and now editing that fades in/out too early/late. Excellent. Keep it up.
To me, this is among the last of the great Grand Touring cars in the old tradition, and as soon as I downsize out of my house, I'm buying one. Fast, comfortable, swanky and drop dead beautiful.
This is so characterful. Mark and Jack arguing while Jack is driving like a 5 year old is my favorite. Please do more of this. Modern car reviews are all the same and this makes me smile.
@@cs1375 I had a Mirage and it was probably the worst car I've ever owned or drove. I was poor and it looked cool/different. The Evo was their only good car and wished I never sold mine. The others are garbage.
Quite possibly one of the best car review videos ever … and that’s saying a lot! The track run is how ever track segment should be Y’all have just sold a ton of F-Types and I hope Jaguar knows to credit y’all for that Flawed Fun at its best
As a '16 R owner I really enjoyed this one, really a fun review. I'm definitely torn between my car and the LC500 though, been wanting to try one for a while...
i once saw a jaguar catch fire in a sams club parking lot. no one else was around or driving it. i called the fire department and told the store manager who announced it over the speaker system. the fire department got there and with out saying a word got out an ax and started breaking the windows and prying up the hood. the owner came out screaming that "the doors were unlocked, the doors are unlocked!" as they filled his car with water. they finished, got in the fire truck and left, 15 min and not a word was said to anyone. owner just stood there stunned.
You have to respect Toyota. They pretty clearly sat down and said "Let's make our own Jag but better." Boom: the LC. That's also what they did with the Land Rover (Land Cruiser), the Wrangler (FJ), the Mustang (5th gen), a golf cart (Prius), the ghosts of the 90s (GR86). And it not only made the world better, but it's forcing other car companies to be better too. (Well, except maybe JLR.)
@@hotdog9262 well I don't think it's ugly and haven't heard anyone else but you say that it was ugly. Just say you don't like front end of the vehicle. The car is not ugly.
Negligible difference between the 450 and 575 horsepower on public roads. My sport p525 is identical to sport SVR acceleration wise at like 4.6-4.7 to 60. They all sound bonkers too
For me i believe in most cases 450 is the max ill ever use for public roads. Any faster and im just asking for trouble with the cops lol. My friends EVO drag-tuned car makes near 650 and honestly we can only floor it for 2nd and some of 3rd gear. Its simply too much for the streets lol
It's a lovely car by any measure, so nice to look at. It will be a future classic and this configuration might be the best ever offered. Sorry, but the LC is not a player to my mind, just a poser with a trendy design language that just isn't there; no mystique whatsoever. Infotainment systems are all destined to be 'dated' so a straightforward, handsome design is the best you can hope for. With all that power and thunderous soundtrack available at any time, it would be hard to care. You had better be watching the road anyway.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder .... Personally I think it's much more beautiful then the original! I really wound not mind if the infotainment is a little bit slow .... or the sound system is not that great .. WHEN YOU HAVE THE MUSIC OF THAT SWEET V8! And ... WTF??? Old platform ... with double wishbone suspension front and rear??? This is an ADVANCED SUSPENSION SETUP boys! Ask anyone! 30000 grand... It is a really big difference! YOU HAVE TO HAVE IT TO SPEND IT! And if you don't i wouldn't advice you to borrow! It is really bad when the car owns you!
that was great from start to the end. not gonna lie: i often skip the tech part because i'm n idiot who only cares about the driving exp. but this time i had to watch it all - f*cking funny episode
I'm a little worried -- if Mark's selling stock to pay his CC dues the Jag may be a stretch. Edit: then again, if the Walmart strip club idea takes off, it's a brilliant move.
I'm glad they brought back the RWD V8 versions of this car. The AWD kills a little bit of the playfullness (and soul of the car imo). So, the engine and suspension on this car is the exact same as the old SVR. It's literally a tune away from making 550 HP and up to 660 with a pully and tune upgrade. They did mention that Jaguar neutered the exhaust through a tune on the low end, and IMO that's the worst offense they made... when you're not driving around like a maniac, you can't get much of the engine burble at all now.
As for the comparisons to Lexus LC500, I have test driven both before custom ordering the F-Type P450 RWD. I feel the F-Type is a far superior car to LC500 at any price. Firstly, the LC500 is not only heavy on paper, but it *feels* heavy and is unwilling to dance on corners. Inexplicably frequent and busy transmission shifts on the LC500 are also very awkward, much like Mercedes' 9G transmission awkwardness. More importantly, the chassis of the LC500 is entirely made of steel, except for the pillars and the roof area. The all-steel cheap-ish chassis construction at $110K+ price range for the LC500 is simply unacceptable to an educated enthusiast. Furthermore, much of the underlying suspension components in the LC500 are quite antiquated and come from lower-grade common Toyota/Lexus parts bin. Adding insult to injury, the infotainment system in the LC500 is a joke - it relies on an awkward and uncomfortable touchpad user interface that makes the overall system user experience so antiquated, even compared to a 2022 Honda Civic. If you don't like the F-Type, don't get the LC500. Buy 992 911 Base instead. The components in the LC500 do not justify its price tag. Toyota decided to rip off consumers for once, but most consumers are not biting it anyway. LC500 sales figures are worse than F-Type's initial launch years.
The front grill is from 1st. Audi R8, right? :-D ...... and as a basic model it is automatic...LoL.....but you know what?.... in fact?.... Jag engineers managed F-hype to be what SLK from Merc newer was.. Great Job!.Cheers!
I really want to test drive one of these and see for myself how much better the suspension is but Mark kinda gave it away. I had a 2017 F-Type SVR but man on rough payment that thing hurt. I'm not a fan of the new headlights, it killed the more aggressive look of the prior gen, but if the suspension was well improved enough I was considering maybe getting back into one.
I own a svr coupe, not as fast as a 911 for the same price and it broke here and there, but every time I hit the gas pedal I laugh like a idiot, that's all about it.
@@isserdigan2835 Y pipe under supercharger blew up, easily 2000+ to repair. gotta pay to play. now my front carbon ceramic rotors are almost gone, will bankrupt soon
That noise while Jack was hooning the car is completely insane. The V8 in my SC400 sure don't sound like that. Come to think of it, it doesn't make any noise at all, really.
Thanks for you hard work. I just wanted to give you a feedback about your reviews. I believe that your time spent on the mechanical parts of the car is way too long but the time you spend going over the design and the interior is way too short. I think having a better balance with your design coverage and mechanical coverage could make your contents more appealing to a wider audience.
“Challenger hellcat with a good credit score” is probably the best description for this car. I do think all the bullion has gone to mark’s head though. I could probably swing the 75k or so for one of these but not the 100k that ballers like Mark can throw down on the LC
LOL @ Mark as "bad cop", also cashing in his BBBY 8:18 - "This is an inferior car in every way to the LC500 convertible." In 6 years when you can't afford an LC convertible at $60K, you'll be able to buy one of these for $30K.
Good review! Is it my imagination, or does this look like a large Miata? That's what I saw when you showed the 3/4 front view. Way to throw it around the track!
