After riding them 500 miles, I take you along for a little off road adventure in the Nevada hills. Dunlop Trail Max: Let me know what you think in the comments. Thanks for watching! #KLR #DUNLOPTRAILMAX #ADVNEVADA
I went 160 miles through the woods yesterday on my KLR with mud, snow, etc... on TKC80's and I know for sure if I was still running the stock POS tires I never would have made it. Congrats on really knowing what that KLR can do with proper tires and an inspired operator at the helm!!!!!
I heard about those, but they weren't on my radar--my tire guy said he has installed a sh%tload of them for guys on ADV bikes, so I went with his recommendation. Thanks for sharing your experience, Gabriel!
@@JP1970 if you are happy with them then that's all that matters..I looked at a lot reviews on tires and decided on the Shinko700 and I love them..mainly because of price
Kawasaki tends to put ok but not great tires on their bikes but I’m sure most companies do to keep costs down. Nice review JP and the drone work was a nice bonus b
Fun video my friend. I have a set in mind when mine are more worn down, so probably this fall I will replace them. I will give these as look as well. Thanks for sharing. I love the drone footage. I had a drone many years ago when I started this channel. It was so huge, I couldn't use it much, they have come along way and now I guess a guy has to have a license for them if the channel is monitored. ? I need to do more research, it does make for some really fun footage though. I have done some gopro upgrades for the new bikes, those videos coming soon as well. Fixing to go ride some more and make a video, last day off for a week or so, long days coming so going to go ride today and enjoy the cool front that came through last night. Have a blessed week. Keep up the fun videos, keep us posted on the new tires and be safe my friend . Dale
New tires on the KLR are a big improvement...probably any tires are better! Haha! Yeah, I use a DJI Mini, easy to carry and captures great footage---drones have gotten smaller and better! Look forward to more of your vids--glad I found your channel!
That bike runs tubes I’m pretty sure-it is an off-road bike so it makes sense to me that there are tubes. I no longer have the bike but I think that’s right.
My buddy rides a GSA so I guess I. Considered those, the problem with ADV bikes for me, is I am not that tall at 5’8”, so the height is a challenge for me. Street bikes are a better fit thanks to lower seat height. Thanks!
@@JP1970 Thanks for responding JP. I have a Goldwing that I love, but, like you, I want to do some different kind of riding. I’m getting ready to turn 71 and have heart failure. So, serious off-road is out of the question, but I’m sure I could tackle most of the roads you take. I love your channel.
@gordonisbell2308 I am 5'8 and the klr650 S feels just right, they lowered the seat heighr to about 32"from the regular klr. I did however put a sheepskin cover on the seat because they did shave down the padding and I was having bad tailbone pain and thet helped a lot plus it makes the bike look so cool IMO haha
