Hard agree. I want the gold dragon in part because of all the minifigures but it’s veeeery steep and if there’s gonna be a sanctum sanctorum modular (rumored for August as well) I might have to skip it

But when you're looking at the sets thinking that they are a bit pricy, you got to keep in mind about the new Minifigures, Pearl Gold being a more expensive color to be printed in, translucent colors also, new pieces and etc. Those could be reasons why the sets are kinda pricey

Yeah same here, I may only get the Dragon or the Temple the Krystal King mech is looking more and more unappealing to me the more I look at it I'll probably pass on this wave and just Buy the 2019 Millennium Falcon or Optimus Prime.

On builds as well. Nexo knights should had more translucent pieces isntead of purple ones in last season.

I think Chima did translucent minifigs better! The undead hunter tribe mini figs are awesome and very much "darker". They had flesh exposed!

I was getting more of a Jay's StormFighter and the Kai Fighter vibe

I'm not a ninjago fan and I also think these sets are expensive. Coming from someone who deslikes ninjago, I feel that Lego is finally making good minifigure designs. I love the purple dragon minion minifig heads, but the ninjas look generic as always, and the dragons still feel pretty cheap. I like it's striking pose, though. For a decade-long series, I hope Ninjago steps on the right direction, because no unlicensed lego theme deserves to live THAT LONG without having either interesting builds that either hint about the lore or worldbuild (dragons and mechs aren't interesting) or either having bad/uninteresting designs overall. The snake/samurai/skeleton beef that the ninjas had has gotten old by now, so a new villain that isn't human or snake looking is a nice refresher. In the end, I still think Ninjago is one of the worst lego themes, but it's my opinion after all, and I'm actually very glad to see Ninjago stepping into a decent direction. We had amazing, but short lived unlicensed lego themes, so I'm pretty bitter towards Ninjago, especially because it won the competition against, in my opinion, the best unlicensed lego theme, Chima.

My main problem with it is that the figure selection feels wasted

I think the sets are accurate to the season, but have more relevance in the later episodes and haven’t been shown in any trailers yet. I think Crystalized will be similar to Skybound in the sense that the promotional material for the respective seasons focused on the first couple of episodes, whereas the sets were based on the latter half of the season.

not true season 14 the iskand has more prints yet in price its the best

If you like to have a building, then try 70670 or 71767(easier to find); If you like to have a mech or a vehicle, then try 70595 or 71705 (easier to find).
