& REALLY ready for to waste time you will NEVER see again at the dealer..."Check Engine Light"...What garbage! & rip off Re-Sale value! Hey dummy there is a reason the resale plummets of suckie beeeeeeeemer!
I am happy to hear that the NX is impressive. Personally, the spindle grill looks a bit better on Lexus' cars than their SUVs. The profile reminds me a lot of the new current Mazda 3. Great review!
Incorrect the Lexus e CVT does not use cones nor a belt it uses two electric motors. The Weber Auto youtube channel have a comprehensive video on how it is constructed.
The electronic door latch prevents you from exiting the car if there is a bicyclist approaching or if there is a car coming in too close. The manual release (pulling it twice) allows you to exit the car as an override or if for some reason there is no power to the doors.
Fantastic review mate! Just knocked it out of the park. That humour surely adds fun. Just ordered this same spec. Loved it at first sight. I personally found the torque really impressive, thanks to the electric motors. In real world, it’s still pretty fast and enjoyable at the same time and not to mention it’s reliability and resale value over all its German competitors.
Just picked mine up last night! Loving it so far, bummed they didn’t put the Mark LeVinson sound system in any of the NX350s coming to the West Coast 🤬
Lexus and Toyota use e-CVT. Certainly no "pulleys or chains or cones". And it's certainly an engineering marvel, better check it out first before trashing it ;)
DOBRY WIDEO.. KAŻDY POTRZEBUJE WIĘCEJ NIŻ PODSTAWOWEJ WYNAGRODZENIA, ABY ZABEZPIECZYĆ FINANSE, NAJLEPSZĄ RZECZĄ DO ZROBIENIA Z PIENIĄDZE JEST INWESTOWANIE POZOSTAŁYCH PIENIĘDZY W OSZCZĘDNOŚCI ZAWSZE KOŃCZY SIĘ WYKORZYSTANE BEZ ZWROTÓW
Funny thing though from new the likes of Merc and BMW SUV from new they outsell the Lexus by a huge margin but 5y layer when warranty has expired on the used market the Lexus is far more popular for some strange reason
@10:03 I think there's a cyclist sensor to prevent "dooring", where the push button won't open if an obstruction is detected but the pull lever is an override to open the door anyway?
Precisely. It's called the Safe Exit Assist which uses the radar sensor of the blind-spot assist system. If it detects a cyclist or anything else on the road approaching from behind, it triggers a visual and audible warning and prevents the doors from unlocking.
Thanks for your review and loved it! I ordered my NX350h sport luxury, wanted FSport version but have to wait for another 12 months…my one is expected to deliver in August (hopefully it won’t delay…)
loved your style - you could work stand-up part time.. could you compare this to say a q3 sports back - top ish model (not rs) and tiguan R. money not withstanding.. which would you pick and why?
Awesome review and glad you enjoy the car! Have one of these on order but with the cobalt mica exterior. Ordered in February and still haven’t been given a build date. At this stage the dealer is saying July or early August. Lexus Australia are getting a quarter of what they were originally promised per month.
Hey Matt, great review. You should link your merch site in description. Also I think your default pricing was in USD, so your shirt says $42.44AUD makes it about $67AUD to ship one in Victoria
Close to 100k though. When I see them on the road they don’t present as a 100k car. That’s a crap load of money. I’m considering getting one but I will look at more affordable cars too.
Awesome review. Amazing car. Thinking of getting the same model you reviewed, just unsure on the enhancement pack 2 over pack 1 which in addition includes digital rear view mirror, mark levison sound and auto park assist. I’m sure the standard sound system for a Lexus will sound good and don’t think would use the digital mirror or auto park assist that often anyway. Worth the extra $3k? What’s an extra $3k when spending $90k I guess. What’s your thoughts?
@@THEAC83 they’ve avoided moon roof and speakers to make it less heavier as plug in model adds a lot of weight thanks to the batteries. 350h is the best of the bunch and a smart pick. I personally would go fully electric or hybrid version as the drive train takes a quite a hit in case of the plug in version. Plug in is also thirstier fuel wise if you’re running just on petrol because of enormous battery weight.
Just order 350h 2wd sport luxury. I am not going to off road, and i do not believe Lexus awd is good at off road anyway. The spirt luxury have most everything expect the sun roof . The 2wd can not option the sun roof😂. But i think it best value for me than F sport
I own the 2022 450h+ F sport..In Atomic Silver Glows in the Sun Light with Lil" grey metal flake" and same Circut Red interior.. but with Electric battery...Has 306 Horse power 0 to 60 in 5.6 sec (Via Road and track at drag strip!.) This model DOES- NOT have a TURBO...But rather, a Naturally aspirated / Carb...........(important because it is well known that TURBOS stress engines)...simply said: see euro cars shop time!....this car combines the Elec Batt and engine to achieve *89 miles per Gallon in Hybrid mode with HIGH torq, And VERY quick out of the hole...Jus' blew the doors off a 735i beemer...albeit for only a block ...( I am no dummy a V* will eventually pass many cars in the long dist. (in all fairness)......However, who cares the thrill is initial take off and tickets are for high speed & SPEED...Kill's! My car has Red Calipers against Powder coated Gloss spoke Black mags and All red "F" Sport Badges........ FAR better built than euro's (mine built in Japan) sadly, new releases are now being made in Canada! Like USA Union shops...no one gets fired for a hang over and bad work??? maybe)..... However, Lexus is Far more reliable...Far better Re-Sale that Euro beemers or mercedes.......indeed mine has Gone UP in price...Not many cars you can find Like that!... IF YOU CAN FIND ONE ANYWHERE do grab it!......"econ 101".....Has (3) elec. motors gett'n 0 to 60 in 5.6 sec (road and track) HIGH torque QUICK out of Hole!......Never do I use gas..... gett'n 42 miles per 120 Volt charge and NEVER USE GAS....and almost Silent operation in elec....So do your research......as this is Far better than any European beemer or mercedes that are depreciating the moment you drive off the lot BIG TIME! And are un- reliable offering to say nothing of the GAS HOG unproven G 70, & RDX not worth mentioning. Z Best of the BEST F Sport 450h+ !
Thank you! And genuinely no. I thought similar, seeing as it shares the same platform - but biggest differences are: - interior quality, it’s on another level. Leather everywhere, way better tech, it’s incomparable. - noise insulation, they use way more body and panel insulation which makes the ride almost silent - suspension setup, not sure if it’s the dampening alone or a different structure in some way, but this is the 3rd most comfortable car I’ve driven (1st - 7 series, 2nd - GV80, 3rd - this) Biggest flaws though are the drivetrain, definitely accelerates like a RAV4 haha!
@@CarSauce Thanks for the detail in your reply. I am kind of in the market for a medium size SUV to add to my collection. Probably not a European though. However, the NX may be slightly too smart (dress smart not tech smart) for my needs.
As a Lexus/Toyota fan & owner, I almost bought this model due to its very nice design. But there are too many cons for me to overcome. 14" screen with no multi-section display, no built-in navigation(Must in where there is no cell signal), weird gear shift lever, inconvenient door handle, expensive Runflat tires. I know Runflats can be replaced but would you without the spare tire?
It’s VERY DISAPPOINTING that such a new NX 2022 advertised as packed with lots of features does NOT come with WIRELESS APPLE CAR PLAY in Australia. When you compare with BMW X3 , it does come with Wireless so as many other manufacturers with their even medium priced cars. Lexus is supposed to be in Luxury category without wireless feature…….
I've been a Lexus driver for the past 20 yrs. But I'm unconvinced with the new NX and the direction in which Lexus is going. Tiny brakes lights, aircon vents that blow into your belly (and below)...and the Lexus vented seats that don't work when you are sat on the seats (ie they are only cold in areas that aren't covered by your back, bum or legs....Sorry. My next car probably won't be another Lexus
