Driving this car actually feels better than it looks.. I know because i have two of this for my wife and i. Best advice though : Even if you have enough to spend and save, Don't waste so much from your savings saving trying to afford one car without assurance of making 5x that money in less than one month .. I have two different colors of this beautiful piece from a 2 months trade without working my head off . Thus, I wish to share you information of financial beneficial purpose if you don't mind.like and reply my comment with "I'm interested"
Exactly. I owned 2 Lexus. One RX and one IS , no complaint so far. Keep well maintained and drive as long as you want. Yesterday I ordered NX350h. It takes 8 months to delivery this vehicle. Welcome to Lexus very reliable and strong suv 😀
This SUV is popular with women. J.D. Power data shows that 57% of Lexus NX owners are female, compared to 43% of all compact premium SUVs. Lexus NX owners enjoy a median annual household income of $133,108 (vs. $167,283), and 35% of them identify as Practical Buyers followed by 30% who are Performance Buyers.
Nx 350h is a lot better than rav4 hybrid. I test drove the 2021 rav4 hybrid and the road noise is a lot louder than the rav. The nx infotainment with wireless car play is way better than the Rav. The interior seating is much better. Nx has stronger electric motor than rav4 hence 240 HP vs rav 219. Makes nx have smoother more peppy drive. This is why I got the 350h.
I have a deposit on both the NX350h and the Rav4 Hybrid Limited. Is it worth the nearly $8000 extra for those few differences? I wasn't able to test drive a Rav4 Hybrid (could only sit in a non-hybrid Limited). The main plus to me at this point is a 6 month delivery time vs 1-2 years on the Rav4. I was expecting the drive quality would be the same (power, comfort, noise) but if it's actually noticeably better than that's a big benefit for me. The interior is definitely nicer in the NX, but not $8000 nicer IMO.
@@graham1034 I test drove an XSE Hybrid, I was also told it was 10 months delivery time. That was back in April. The same day I test drove a 350H . There is no comparison in comfort and road noise. I ordered a 350h with the extra 1500 dollars for the moonroof, power hatch and memory seating. You would have to buy the Rav4 Hybrid Premium package to get near as many features which would still be 50grand tax and delivered in Calgary vs 57 grand for the 350H
@@mikej238 yeah the Rav4 limited has about the same features as the 350h for $8k cheaper (after tax). Personally I think the Rav4 is better looking, but the interior of the NX is nicer. I'd probably save the money and get the Rav4 but the extra 1+ year wait is making me reconsider. Edit: $52264 for the Rav4, $60110 for the NX
Thanks! The child seat was EXACTLY what I was looking for! How well does it fit a stroller in the back? Will it fit the stroller + groceries? I have the exact Clek Liing child seat, so your setup is basically exactly the same as mine!
Thanks for the comment! A full size stroller does fit side to side, I tried it with my Uppababy Cruz and it wouldn’t fit straight so there was limited space for anything else. Certainly not the biggest, but if you got a smaller stroller (I have the Babyzen Yoyo2) it’s perfect.
Pre-ordered yesterday, should be here by December. There is nothing wrong with this car while still being a dressed up Toyota. I expect just oil changes, cabin filters, tire rotations, and eventually replace the tires themselves over a 10 year period while doing 30+ MPH on a daily basis. Unreal.
I have a deposit on an NX350h currently (premium package of course). Would have been great to hear the feature comparison with the Rav4 Hybrid Limited. It's ~$8000 less than the Lexus and the Toyota actually has some features that aren't on the Premium trim for the NX (and vice versa). I have a deposit on the Rav4 as well but will likely end up with the NX just because the estimated delivery time is 4-6 months vs 1-2 years for the Rav4.
I’ve heard some Toyota dealers are marking up the prices on RAV4 hybrids too! Whenever I start looking for a new car which probably won’t be for a couple more years ,the RAV4 hybrid and the Lexus NX hybrid and the Venza have been near the top of my list! I really like the Venza because it is Lexus-like! The only two negatives on the Venza for me would be that you can’t open the panoramic roof on a Limited model, and I was hoping my next vehicle would be a little smaller than my 2010 RX that I’ve been driving for the past 12 years, and right now, the Venza is about the same size as my RX🤷♀️
@@eleanormassaro5195 at least in Canada dealers don't seem to do markups. It just means much longer wait times than the US. I looked at the Venza but it's a bit heavier with the same power as the Rav4 (less than the NX). They're already borderline too slow for me (coming from a 270hp sedan).
I’ve just driven the NX350 plus and the top RAV4 plug the RAV4 drives better and makes more sense for the cash, the Lexus IS more plush, however I was more shocked how good the RAV was.
@@mikej238 Hi Mike you are correct, I tried the 350 and 450+ takumi and F sports and the new RAV4, both the Lexus models are available from Currie motors Uk in around 4 months and they have regular weekly updates of spare cars arriving as they showed me the latest Uk printouts, the RAV4 plug I’ve ordered is the top Uk 2023 dynamic premium model and won’t be delivered until March 2023 earliest.
You stated that you felt like you were sitting above the car and not IN it. This! I’m only 5’7, but I felt like a giant in this car. I couldn’t even quite describe it, but you described it perfectly. Just felt like I was sitting up high and car was low. Didn’t like that at all.
Yea! It’s super weird to me. Most cars the seat goes lower but in this we’ll it’s very different. My wife is 5’2 and she didn’t have any complaints so I guess for shorter drivers it might not be that bad.
I test drove one the other day and at 6'1" it did seem a bit high to me. I'm comparing to my current sports sedan though so I wasn't sure if it was just not being used to it. Head room was fine though.
Not even close the Lexus is FAR superior ... ….I own the 2022 450h+ F sport..Note the Heads Up display on the windshield W/14” Crystal clear display on both, alone makes the Lexus better........Mine is In Atomic Silver Glows in the Sun Light with Lil" grey metal flake" and same Circut Red interior.. but with Electric battery...Has 306 Horse power 0 to 60 in 5.6 sec (Via Road and track at drag strip!.) This model DOES- NOT have a TURBO...But rather, a Naturally aspirated / Carb...........(important because it is well known that TURBOS stress engines)...simply said: see euro cars shop time!....this car combines the Elec Batt and engine to achieve *89 miles per Gallon in Hybred mode with HIGH torq, And VERY quick out of the hole...Jus' blew the doors off a 735i beemer...albeit for only a block ...( I am no dummy a V* will eventually pass many cars in the long dist. (in all fairness) ......However, who cares the thrill is initial take off and tickets are for high speed & SPEED...Kill's! My car has Red Calipers against Powder coated Gloss spoke Black mags and All red "F" Sport Badges........ FAR better built than euro's (mine built in Japan) sadly, new releases are now being made in Canada! Like USA Union shops...no one gets fired for a hang over and bad work??? maybe)..... However, Lexus is Far more reliable...Far better Re-Sale that Euro beemers or mercedes.......indeed mine has Gone UP in price...Not many cars you can find Like that!... IF YOU CAN FIND ONE ANYWHERE do grab it!......"econ 101".....Has (3) elec. motors gett'n 0 to 60 in 5.6 sec (road and track) HIGH torque QUICK out of Hole!......Never do I use gas..... gett'n 43 miles per 120 Volt charge (real world driving my experience.) and NEVER USE GAS....and almost Silent operation in elec....So do your research......as this is Far better than any European beemer or mercedes that are depreciating the moment you drive off the lot BIG TIME! And are un- reliable offering to say nothing of the GAS HOG unproven G 70, & RDX not worth mentioning. Z Best of the BEST F Sport 450h+ ! ….One more thing, Jus' a heads up!......My wife drives the RX 2020 model...Consider putting Michelins on your NX 450h+ F Sport......Far and away EVEN a much smoother ride Much better ride than the HARD Run Flat Bridgestones that come stock. Carry a Batt. quality inflator ( DeWalt 20V MAX Corded/Cordless Air Inflator ) and string tar impregnated rope insert-er and Do-Not wait for AAA.
Yesterday I did a test drive for a Lexus nx 450h in hybrid mode, and I was surprised that for the duration of the test the sound of the electric motors was annoying... Is this normal for the hybrid mode? Another thing I felt was that the suspension system is not quite as good as described in the videos because I I felt it concretely in the street potholes and light bumps. Besides in the volvo xc60 b5 mild hybrid test nothing of this felt no annoying sounds and good behaviour of suspensions.
Thank you for this awesome review & your sense of humor at the end of video. I have one question though that you might want to answer or Lexus for that matter , at minute 7 of your video your monitor showed trip A 79.1 Km & average fuel consumption 7.6 L/100 Km , however Lexus flyer shows 5.7 L in city & 6.4 L highway !!!!! who is right ? thanks again for your nice review.
Thanks for the comment! My average fuel consumption will always be higher than what’s rated due to me having to drive the vehicle a bit harder to test it’s acceleration and many times I leave the vehicle on when shooting.
2nd week with my NX350h and currently avg 6.4 overall with regular gas. Will try with Premium gas in a few weeks. Got the Executive package and really love it.
its interior materials and quality is definately NOT a step up from the previous generation. the passenger side in the new model f.e. is boring like in a Dacia.
Depends what you’re looking for. The Lexus IS quieter and more luxurious with a better infotainment system and just all around plusher. The rav4 prime on the other hand will get you that dedicated EV range and it’s faster as well. If anything you can get the NX450h+ to get both but the NX450h+ doesn’t get the panoramic sunroof nor the mark levinson audio system.
@@JimmyMak Unfortunately, the NX 450h is out of reach for me. Performance is a plus but not a deal breaker. I commute to work 160 miles a day and I know the Prime makes more sense because of range and it qualifies for the fed tax. But the 350h is more updated with the infotainment like you said.
I think if you're seriously reviewing cars it's important to avoid the bandwagon taglines. I mean you wouldn't call an Audi a VW even if they share a platform and engine.
@@JimmyMak Every car manufacturer shares engines, platforms, parts to some extent. The Porsche Macan is an Audi. The top spec Alfa Romeo Giulia has a Ferrari engine. Is it a Ferrari? Using bandwagon lines like this is redundant and a tired old trope. No serious car reviewer does it because it makes you sound obnoxious.
@@JimmyMak thanks for your honesty. I find that a lot of these youtube channels hype these cars because of some vested interest which made me test drive the rav4 hybrid as I was sold into thinking it was this fantastic car but in reality it was far from it. The new Camry hybrid on the other hand was much more fun to drive.
I see that the tires are Michelin 235/60/R18s on the test car. Are these run flat tires or winter tires? Did you think that they were noisy? Some people say there are.
This is quite a bit more luxurious so the quality of the materials is better along with the fit and finish. That said the Hyundai will get you more for your money and more toys as well.
In the SF Bay Area here there are plenty of stock. I was looking for a 350h but the one with with the right color combinations my wife wants are loaded with options that we don’t want or need.
@@larrymoens20 yep. Essentially $200 is markup. I always get my car ceramic tinted anyway and that’s $4-500 cost in the SF Ba area. I called another Lexus dealer in LA with no markup, in fact the biggest Lexus dealer in California. they are not taking on any more orders on the NX hybrid. The wait list is up to 2 years.
I hate they compromised so much with this, no F-Sport availability and it requires premium fuel? For a hybrid? lol Plus cheap interior quality, piano black plastics and terrible door handles. I think the Venza is the true Lexus RAV4 hybrid. Plus it’s exclusively made in Japan.
if you compare a spartan XLE trim. If you compare a Rav 4 Hybrid Limited to a NX350H in Canada price is now only 5 grand difference. 20 more HP, more comfortable and quieter
