POV drive in the 2022 Lexus RC350 F Sport, through a Bay Area back road. 0:00 - Intro 5:17 - Casual Driving 11:33 - Spirited Driving 24:25 - Conclusion/Final Thoughts
Hey man keep your head up and keep doing good things to fill in your life. And props for having the nuts to start a channel. It's probably something I should do and for the same reason but I'm far to introverted. You get my subscription right off the bat. I was just watching Topher's reviews and thinking how I actually prefer the POV style review and hell just a silent cruise sometimes too. It gives you a way to experience the vehicle. I look forward to more content.
People don’t get this car, it’s amazing a great cruiser , stable , so well built and put it on sport+ and enjoy those curves, yes it’s not a rocket and please use the paddles and btw my car is AWD it makes a difference …. Just awesome !
Traded a 2015 IS350 for a 23’ RC F. It’s so good. This one looks, and sounds a little different, but still very cool. It’ll last forever, great video. Enjoy!
This is one of the only back roads I have been on in the Bay Area! I was there for work and stayed an extra day, decided to rent a 911 (991.1, specifically) and drive around the area, including a back road, much to my wife's chagrin. Anyway, it was a fantastic road! I like the back story on your channel and a taste of the reality of starting a RU-vid channel, but I love that you actually committed and are making something positive!
By the way, I have a 2021 IS 350 so I approve of your choice in vehicle :D I honestly thought about the RC, but at the time, the redesigned IS was new and all the rage, and I got sucked into it - also back seats and rear doors have come in handy. But I'd love to have an F some day.
Thank you so much, I appreciate the support! I was considering the IS before I got the RC, but I couldn’t find an IS with both the triple beam headlights and mark Levinson audio at the time, so I went with the RC. But I do love the looks of the new IS a bit more than the RC though. Coming from a turbo charged 4 cylinder (Mazda 3 Turbo) to a free revving V6 is so refreshing.
Hey man all the best! Love this style of car reviews. Just one quick suggestion many of us watch these videos in countries where we dont even get these cars, so let us know some of the features like remort start, panoramic sunroof etc and most importantly which variants of this car gets what feature. So does the variant below this get a sunroof ? Or a keyless start? An app to check your car status and remote start etc you get the gist. No reviewer does that properly
Honestly didn’t think I’d like the color at first, but it’s such an easy color to maintain. When the car is dirty it’s not as noticeable, which is great in drought ridden CA haha.
Nice review, love the RC, it's a good daily car. I am also a subscriber of TheTopher , love his videos. Btw, Topher loves Lexus cars, especially the RC-F 👍
I am sad to and I just went and bought a new Lexus IS 300 your car is nicer I wish I looked around more at other Lexus I was just to excited. Anyways, I can relate to you in the beginning of the video you said you bought a new car and talk to yourself on the go pro I feel the same way lol I am happy you’re doing something else tho with you’re time. Filming. That is good 👍
#BayAreaDrives Enjoyed the video. Considering purchasing an RC 350 Fsport AWD. Did I hear you correctly that you IGL Ceramic coated and also PPF coated?? I live in a northern climate and this car will not be a garage queen. Would love to learn you thoughts on this
That’s right, I got a 2 year IGL coating, and then a full front PPF on the car. My car is garage kept, but over the past 7 months since it’s been installed I have had no issues. Recently I had a rock chips which was “strong enough” to penetrate the PPF. That rock chip has lifted the PPF a tiny bit, so that was a bit disappointing. The installer said that the warranty does not cover that, so it is what it is.
@@bayareadrives Thank you for your response. Certainly, this car will not be used in the most inclement weather, my SUV will be used for that. Here in the northern mid-west we don't have the kindest roads and anything will help shield the car will be appreciated. What was the combined cost of the treatments?? Also just watched a video about a detailer in Chicago put down ppf then ceramic coating. What are your thoughts?
I see. So that is the typical process, PPF first then the coating on top of it. I paid $2800 for the install. It included a paint correction, PPF install, and ceramic coating install.
Am I the only one who could swear the 8 speed gives faster smoother shifts than the dinosaur 6 speed AWD transmission? I’ve only been able to test drive 6 speed examples and it’s not the greatest. But the 8 speed seems better.
I really wish they made these cars with a lot more power, atleast 400hp. That’s the main reason I passed on this car, it has awd, it’s sporty and luxurious all at the same time. I ended up buying cash a 21 dodge challenger TA392 widebody in pitch black, ordered in September and picked it up the day before new years so it’s really a 22 but listed as a 21.
it is but it will last with minimal maintenance. i have a m340i and just got a m240i(used for modding),also sometimes i drive my brother's m4. I love bmw but the new interior for 2023 is gonna be horrible. They are basically putting 2 tablets as infotainment. LOVE this interior over the next year BMW interior( I know crazy). Performance wise, lexus is know for comfort over speed or power. BMW in the other hand in this price range of 55k up in semi-M and M cars the ride is stiff, more track focus than confort. Many people say outdate but for my personally i prefer get this car in the future than a new one with this new trend of tablets as infrotainment.
I just bought the RC350. It’s not for the driver looking for speed. It’s for fun, luxury and comfort but the ride is buttermilk smooth. I find it to be way more comfortable than any bmw. I will be upgrading to the LC500 later this year. the ride and comfort in that one is crazy and I’m hearing they are phasing out the v8 So I’m upgrading to the 2023 LC500 convertible. Price tag is a lot more unfortunately but I think it’s worth it. There are a few things in the interior of my RC that are just too outdated for me. Overall I love driving it. Makes a great everyday car. I do have an suv, but this coupe is my toy. It’s a beautiful car. So much fun to drive. I got it in infrared with the Carmel, wood grain and gunmetal interior. The interior Is great quality and Looks amazing.
@@livingitupwithkeilakee3863 lol you just bought it but your upgrading to an LC500? Dude that’s not an upgrade that’s legit a quantum jump. Going from a $50ish car to a 100k plus car is a big difference and not to mention a slow v6 (just talking about the rc350) to a v8 with 471hp. I always wanted the rc350 f sport but it was just so under powered and the tech was so outdated I had to pass on it but if I could afford the RCF or the LC500 I would of gotten one of those over my Challenger. But my 6.4l v8 is a lot of fun especially in track mode it really makes it so much more nimble then you’d think it would be. If I could do a one to one swap I’d probably get the RCF for Lexus’ reliability and amazing dealership customer service
@@jl4081 I’m the wrong person to talk to about speed and engines sir. I don’t buy cars for that reason. I don’t do tracks nor do I drive fast. What’s the point? To get a traffic ticket. It’s not even possible in Atlanta traffic anyway lol i but cars for style and reliability. To buy a car l because of speed would make non sense to me lol I’m not concerned about going from a 55k to a 100k if I like it I’m going to get it.
@@jl4081like I said before I don’t buy cars for speed because it’s pointless to me. I buy cars to look good as a status symbol of my success as an entrepreneur. Im not going on any track and I’m not a reckless driver through the streets of Atlanta trying to kill my self or someone else just to try to look cool in front of people lol so it’s an upgrade for me based on styling and having a convertible. I want it. The price doesn’t matter to me because I’m just going to trade it for something else anyway when I Get tired of it. 😊
