The lighting package on this bike is impressive. Full dual function LED Marker/Turn signals, proper projector headlight with a wide spread low beam and nicely focused high beam for better distance. Can't wait to hear what you have to say about its performance once you get it broken in

Yes the LED headlights and signals are nice. Lifans spec say Halogen bulbs. Glad they weren't.

that digital dash is sweet. Seems like a great bike for around 3k. figure a comparable honda costs what? 5-6k easy before any dealer fees/taxes. And then these days you have to fight dealer markups and what not. Makes these chinese bikes way more pleasant in my opinion. And I think getting to uncrate and do final assembly yourself is all part of the fun.

The bike is comparable to the KLX230 with the KPX250 having better forks and swing arm. Quality is just as good if not better. The most fun with these bikes is the uncrating and assembly. I know every nut and bolt has been touched and not putting my life in the hands of someone that just slapped it together. I bought my Vulcan S from a dealership and found multiple loose bolts and screws that were over looked.

@JerryHawk250 Great video! This seems to be the cream of the crop of the variations of this dual sport. EFI, 6 speed, inverted forks, LED lighting. The only thing is, is the engine counterbalanced? Couldn’t quite tell from the video.

Yes it does have the counter balanced engine. Very smooth running for a single cylinder. I've owned several Chinese bikes. The quality of the KPX is every bit as good if not better than some of the name brand bikes. I've compared the KPX250 and the KLX230. The KPX is much better hands down.

The KPX is a better bike for commuting. It has more HP with the 6 speed. It will do 70+ mph without having to do anything to it. The quality is much better plus it comes with a 2 year parts warranty.

About 65 miles and was comfortable the whole time. That's only because it's been raining here for over the past month and i have to dodge rain showers just to ride. Hopefully that changes soon so i can get some miles on it.

I reckon if you port and polish the head it will get 80mph. But anyway, wow what a really nice bike. It's like the ultimate version of the hawk/brozz/tbr7/tt250 frame.

It's tall. I'm 5'10" and I can almost flat foot it. You can adjust the preload to get more sag.

@@potatosurfing6779 Oh okay. The KPX is a completely new bike. Mine is the first one to hit the street. The quality of the bike is unbelievable. I'm still impressed with it. The 20hp and 6 speed makes a huge difference.

@@ronotardo I would say so. Definitely has more power than my Hawk and does have 6 speed transmission And my Hawk is capable of doing 70mph.

What’s the maintenance intervals for these things such as oil change and checking the valves? This bike is very tempting - either get this brand new and do everything to it or buy a used Japanese bike. Looks solid and just as nice!

I use full synthetic and change at 1500 mile intervals. You'll need to do the first oil change and valve adjustment around 200-300 miles. Valves should be checked every 1500 to 2000 miles.

Hey Jerry how does this Lifan compare to the Orion rxb250? I’ve been considering buying an rxb250 so I’m curious…

I never owned the Orion rxb250 but from reading the specs the engines are close. The Pros on the KPX250 is that it is completely street legal in 49 states. It has a full 2 year 12,000 mile warranty. The engine puts out 20hp and has oil ports for easy installation of oil cooler. The overall quality is equal to any Japanese bike I have owned. Much better than any of the other Chinese bikes I've owned. Best part is American Lifan and Venom Motorsports have given me excellent after sales support with any questions I have asked.

@@markjeepingful I really like the KPX. The bike handle well on the highway. I haven't had a chance to take it off road yet. Weather here has been on the wet side for over a month. It has a 3 gallon tank. I average just over 70 mph.

How do you set clock time? I got the hours change but need change the mins??? I hold down mode button for hour to start flashing and push mode button to change hour then that’s as far I got.

I'm working of memory but I think I hold mode button again right after you set the hour you should be able to change minutes. The steps on how to change time are in the owners manual

Whats the mco say on it .?" Offroad" or hopefully " mc"....or motorcycle.Here in pa the dmv is a pain in the ass getting china bikes registered an who insured it for you?.

It's has Motorcycle on the MCO. The KPX is EPA certified in 49 states for street use so should not be an issue. I have mine issued through Geico. In fact my KPX is the first to be insured with Geico as I had them add it into there system.

Yes it is faster. I've hit 76 mph GPS which is 81mph indicated on the speedometer. The stock speedometer is a little optimistic.
