I bought Baleno Alpha AMT in March 2023 in Rs.12 lacs (including accessories, RTO charges, road tax, insurance) . I have driven it 2600 kms so far. My monthly running is around 1000 kms (70% highway & 30% city). Here's what I found - PROS - 1) Spacious cabin with ample legroom for rear occupants 2) Sufficient boot space with hydraulic tailgate 3) Auto dimming IRVM 4) Excellent headlights CONS - 1) I regret buying AMT because it gives mileage of 18 to 20 kmpl. I have checked tank to tank mileage many times. I drive with lightfoot and never cross 80 kmph speed. Still it is giving so less mileage as compared to manual version. One of my friend has Baleno manual version & it gives him mileage of 23 to 24 kmpl. 2) No youtuber will tell you this but the rear part of Baleno (near rear grab handles) is bulkier. So when I try to do reverse parking, it creates a blind spot in ORVMs and hampers judgement. 3) IRVM and infotainment screen are so close that it creates a big blind spot on windshield. 4) Manual car gives you confidence that you can control car even at high speeds. But that is not case with AMT. 5) Front seats have good lower back support but equally bad mid back support. 6) Auto start stop system is very irritating. Though Maruti claims that engine will stop 15 seconds after pressing the brakes, in reality engine stops after 3 seconds or 5 seconds.

Old beleno europ version 4 rating in carsh test Crash test is one part of safety Other safety features are also important . It would be big to explain here In India to minimize cost chachis metal lower ghan europ version but it is one area of security not all

Is Maruti planning to introduce a CVT in Baleno automatic in addition to AGS? Replacing CVT with AGS is a retrograde step....Customers need to be given choice? I am sure many customers would prefer CVT to AGS!
Amaze is a very good compact sedan - looks good, offers great space and high comfort levels. However, not as many features as the Baleno, plus not the same economy. Jazz - we love it for the space and practicality. But 1.2 isnt as good as 1.2 of Baleno. Plus can't match the features but definitely a very good hatchback (Jazz)

Sir i have booked the alpha manual new baleno...but the budget is 11lakh...economy is good...I'm a suv lover...so kind of confused to invest money on small car...and ppl criticizing as cheap build quality and all...I'm confused to opt right one....i don't like TATA cars in same price...salesperson said i get in same budget scross zeta and breeza if i upgrade 1lakh and that not problem for me...can u clear my doubts...is that baleno is my choice overall? Or any other cars available to go in aspects of comfortable..economy...and good designed cars over bsleno to ho.
Hi Madhan.. Even I was in same dilemma.. Off course S cross is SUV but it doesn't have good interior and luxurious.. But new 2020 Baleno istoo much improved and has good features. Keeping all this in mind i have booked Baleno Alpha AMT.. My suggestion is go for Baleno Alpha MT

Altroz and Kiger for 5 ⭐️ safety but it’s AMT is not good and also they both don’t perform well on hilly roads, and they both have three cylinder engine. Whereas Baleno/Glanza has 4 cylinder engine, very much improved build quality, excellent features, ultra refined AMT box. I own Glanza 2022 and I suggest you to go for it blindly, you will not regret.
it has auto dimming IRVM(alpha), auto climate control and auto headlamps. It also gets connected car technology and for safety it gets hill hold, ESP, traction control, ABS, EBD, Brake assist, rear camera (with dynamic guidelines) and parking sensors, 6 airbags (360 camera and HUD only on alpha), ISOFIX, seatbelt pretensioners also it gets new 14" disk brakes on front. It gets ambient lamp in front footwell (yellow colour), puddle lamps are accessory and it gets pollen, dust and PM2.5 cabin air filter as well (work as purifier for AC). I purchased the car just recently.

@@anurandeb7634 i have bought the zeta AGS model as it was 9.6L on road for me. It gets all the features except diamond cut alloys (it gets painted alloys), cruise control, auto dimming IRVM and the 9" screen, HUD and 360 camera, the fog lamps can be retrofitted from showroom, so can be done with puddle lamps. Sonet is only worth it for the top trims with turbo engine which is more than 2.5 lakhs expensive from Baleno top trim AGS. If you can compromise a bit on performance and efficiency Sonet HTX is good though I would prefer Baleno because of space, safety, performance and features over HTX. My recommendation is to get Zeta MT for VFM package and Alpha MT for feel good features. Take a look at Altroz iTurbo MT if you're going for the manual.
@@nou1611 lovely....but as per the engine noise I will not go for TATA...hence I would like to go for silent car (cabin noise). So, likewise my choice would be from Suzuki, Kia, Hyundai or any other within 9-10 Lakhs

Sir, for 60 year old, the issue with Baleno is low seating. So getting into the car and out takes more effort as compared to Brezza. Hence, for overall comfort, we will recommend waiting for new upcoming 2022 Brezza
@@91Wheels Please help me. मै कल अपनी Baleno AMT की delivery लेने गया था. जब मैंने PDI किया तो देखा की - 1) Sensors से कोई भी object जब बहुत करीब (1 फिट की दूरी पर) होता है तब भी detect नही करता है. जब वो object आधा फिट से भी पास आ जाये तभी sensors बजने लगते है. ईसलिये मैने delivery लेने से मना कर दिया. Please बताये क्या सभी Baleno मे ऐसा ही होता है ? 2) कार में Owner's Manual भी नही था. 3) When I put it in reverse gear and take my foot off the brake, it doesn't go reverse automatically. Instead I have to press accelerator. But when I put it in D mode , it goes forward automatically. Please tell is this normal ? What should I do ?
On highways 20 easily at around 80kmph , for normal city ride 17/18 if you dont accelerate , for Bangalore like traffic you can get 11/12 because most time you run on 1/2 gear and stand still at the signals for a good part
@@sunny787 Ncap won't test all the recently launched vehicles.. company has to go and apply and get tested. All tata cars inspite of having 3 cylinder noisy engine..they thrive on 5 star safety rating. So they keep advertising their strongest point. Where as maruti advertise it's mileage. Baleno receiving 3 star ncap and 4 star Italy ncap rating last year..this year they have added 40 kg of its weight coz of more steel inclusion to make it more safer..in my opinion 4 star or 5 star doesn't matter in an accident. If u drive in speed limits, u can easily avoid any accident. 4 star and 5 star both would be same
