A Khaos vs a PRO in a climb, the pro will always win, even with shorter track. The khaos is designed to make the front light, and playful. The downside, it trenches, more than the pro.

I’ve heard that the 15 Khaos matrix is more planted than the Axys 155. I imagine the new Khaos 165 matrix will be much better at climbing. Love to see a run where you adjusted the Khaos suspension for climbing. Soft at front shock and stiff at back. Makes huge difference. Love to see 155 Khaos Axys vs 155 Khaos matrix slash.

It sounded to me that the 165 was short on RPM. But I like to see the side by side runs.

Thanks for the comparison as I am looking at these two sleds right now trying to figure which one to go for. Both 2022 though.

The Matryx chasis, especially the slash with the short and tapered tunnel, are incredible machines. You couldn't go wrong with either an RMK pro or khaos. I found my Pro in a 155 was still very playful when you wanted it to be, but you could tame it when trying to do longer climbs. So I found the Pro to be a perfect medium.

I would say the biggest factor is the difference in final drive gearing. Put a geardown kit on the khaos and it will do just as well. My axys has one (brings final drive ratio to same as matrix) and feels about the same as buddies matrix

The QD2 (2.75 track) is the same ratio as a Kurt's gear down kit.

Seems about right…. The Khaos doesn’t climb as well. That’s just facts. And 70 pounds is a big difference. Cool video though.

one ridder weighs 40% more than the other rider how is that a comparison at all? makes it up at the end after poaching track about 100% more than the previous attemps you would get these results on allmost any sled .

A 165 with same clutching will always run lower rpm than a 155 due to the rotating mass of the longer track. In my opinion a stock sled with a skilled rider on it a 155 is always the way to go!

@@kenraterink I should reword that comment...rpm shouldn't be less but, with same motor/clutching a shorter track will always keep up rpm better than a longer track due to less rotating mass and, weight/drag of the track.
