I was curious how is mounted in new one, cuz I have 2017 model and I don’t like it (how 2” tow hitch is mounted) takes to much view in my opinion this one looks much better
@@LordGreybeardsChannelofWisdom How I installed the towhitcht in my outlander, mainly to mount a good "bike rack" but after some time I find that it is a mistake, especially when driving in rural forests, etc., I can see that this solution is a bit different, I am also surprised that Mitsubishi does not have such a solution as Toyota, for example 4runner, it really makes life easier.
Just as you show in your video, the rear kick feature to open the rear hatch door worked fine. But it no longer works after installing the Trailer wiring harness with the 4 way flat trailer connector. I'm thinking the kick feature won't wutork anymore because interference from the green wire that runs under the bumper across to the right signal light and the 4 way flat trailer connector harness that is also routed underneath the bumper to the hitch.
I tried to mount it but there's a plastic piece in the bumper of my outlander that it seems yours doesn't have and it's not letting fit the tow receiver. I think I'll have to take it to the dealership to take down the muffler.
How much are you towing? I have a small boat with total wet weight of 1600 lbs, I'm just a little concerned about the ramp and long term wear on the vehicle.
