That's me with the 360 cam on my head at 21:01! Getting filmed by and filming the guy who made me want to start bringing a camera on rides. As close as I'll get to a Hotline of myself for now. First alleycat for me and what better place to start than MonsterTrack. Sorry I wasn't much help in figuring out the route when we all stopped, was just following at that point. Later started routing the checkpoints myself and got a cool 11th.
Amazing footage! It was really great riding with you. Having you choose to follow me made me feel more like I knew what I was doing, not that it was really possible with some of those tricky checkpoints.
@@leesmusic1 I have my seat a bit higher on my road bike, as I feel a slightly lower seat gives me a bit more control riding fixed gear brakeless through traffic. I also have a Brooks saddle that has sagged a fair amount since I initially set my seat height, so I should raise it to offset for that, but I’m comfortable on that bike and rode a 200+ mile single day ride on it without experiencing any discomfort, so I’m not in a rush to change anything drastically.
Took a moment to realise why this was both simultaneously so realistically captivating yet slightly surreal, then I figured it was the complete absence of any wind noise. All the more enjoyable for it though.
Haven’t watched it but stoked sitting on a Sunday night ready to watch this. Terry the best. His content brings excitement even before watching. Keep bringing smiles man. 100
just want to say i appreciate your content, and i love how you manage to make your sponsors/brand affiliations part of your videos without turning the channel into one giant paid advertisment like some other popular bike youtubers
second dude (Matt) just making smart decisions and adapting to the changing environment i like to see it. some riders in first group seemed a bit stubborn and just push through.
I know one thing, this steady cam/gimbal/whatever that thing is works hella good! the images from this video are very clear considering how many bumps you are riding over!
all the modern gopros have hella good stabilization, like offroad bumpy AF mtb trails will look like you're floating down a cloud if you have hypersmooth 2.0 enabled
Is that what allows him to turn the head and the cam keeps shooting front? I've been thinking he's got to turn his head to in the intersections right how is the cam still forward 😂
After almost 15 years videos like this still get me hyped to go ride. People don't understand why, don't understand not having brakes, and don't appreciate the skill involved in this. Solid video content, as always.
Love the footage! really well filmed and the sound is perfect too. Im in training for next year.... is there an over 40 year old class? haha Al BSD Cycle Club England
Damn this is upsetting. Since I was in front of them I didnt see all the sketchy lines they were taking previously... I'm not surprised at all I got brake checked
A1, Gold Standard, Old School Terry B goodness! I think my favorite thing about your fixed gear content is the international aspect, both in the riders you feature and the riders you inspire. No Borders. No Nations. Only Bikes.
@@TerryB indeed. And clearly he knows the city. Minimal effort. Nothing flashy. Just getting the job down under the radar. Wouldn't be surprised if he's a top messenger as well. Respect.
Was the worste. A newbie made a truck brake check me, when I was leading the group since NONE of them knew where they were going haha. But that caused a flat and didnt notice it until late ha
It’s an alleycat race and a majority of riders are riding fixed gear bikes. Track refers to what they are - track bikes. There’s also tracklocross, which is a variation of cyclocross, which is not done on the street. This isn’t really a “sport” per se
Listening to your breathing rhythm has helped me increase my riding recouping while riding.. Always tried to breath through nose now understand high spin breathing through mouth recoup energy faster
Terry, please release the English subtitle😐I really like videos like this.Fixed cyclists have a great reflex.14:05-it was a warm situation, but no big deal happened:))Thanks for the video, Terry.
i love riding fixies, it's the shit, Denver is not as crazy as NYC though, and there's usually people telling me to gtfo though I'm allowed to ride legally in the car lanes. and everybody does it/. I ride a 90's motobecame.
