Bought a Frontier S, after my 07 Sport Trac was becoming a money pit. For a base model, the technology blows me away! Probably the safest base model truck out there.
I just bought a 2023 Frontier S model 4x4 king cab and this thing has more bells and whistles on it than anything I have ever owned. Great "POWER" as well. I love it
I was lucky enough to find the S model in alert red at $34k new from a local dealer in December 2021. I have almost 3k miles and I love the truck. I average 22.3 mpg driving through the mountains to work each day. The 9 speed transmission drives like a dream. Plenty of power even on steep grades. Very comfortable riding truck and its been great in the Colorado snow. At almost $20k less than the 4wd tacoma models in this Colorado market you just can't beat it.
It’s bad on fuel mileage but this engine and trans will last 300k miles with basic maintenance. Those fancy hybrid or turbo engine trucks with 40mpg will not last half that. I’d rather pay a little more for fuel but never have to worry about breaking down. If you’re up for it and really want good fuel mileage then get the best Michelin eco tires, buy a TPMS, lower the suspension way down with leveling air bags to retain tow ratings improve drag and improve ride quality, fabricate a skid plate to get the air flowing smoother under the engine, big oversized wheel fender flares, full length running boards with a back panel, and block off half the air openings on the front. I’m sure you can completely block off the lower opening for the transmission if you’re never towing. Don’t cover the bed or drop the tailgate it’s proven better to just leave it alone. Use full Synthetic oil in the engine, trans, differentials, and wheel bearings. Remove the engine PCV system and use a good quality vented catch can. This truck should get a solid 30mpg or better if you take the time to do all that.
Love the simple look of the dash and NO PIANO BLACK plastic all over it and the console to muck things up! You should have mentioned that the driver's seat is height adjustable. No nonsense air vents too.
Go to a Nissan dealership, I'm sure they'll change your mind. Try not to laugh in their face, it's not nice. Just a hint, they're going to expect you to pay for a fully loaded PRO 4X with every possible accessory. That's for the base model 🤣
@@mauricemotors8207 yesterday I stopped at cheveron and regular gas is 4.89 there I never let it get below the first marker. I spent 54 dollors to get it to full. I havent let it get to empty so i dont know yet but i would imagine it would be maybe 70 or 80 to fill it up. Im in california la area. I had my 22 since october 17 and i love it. I dont like the siruxm radio tho you cant save songs and play what u want that sucks. Im still learning how it works. Lol
@@drewski1441 that rear leg rooms cost the back seat angle being straight up compared to the tacoma. I wouldn't put adults in the frontier for more than an hour. The tacoma engine has been around since 2005. Thats more bullet proof than that nissan.
Full size trucks have their purpose but are much harder to park and considerably more expensive this is probably 30k no half ton truck at this trim is 30k with apple car play etc even tho they have a V6 those feel much more sluggish with extra weight.
@@Brandon-to9vp Nice I have 16 king cab s with the forgotten 2.5l I’m at 93k and going strong only hiccup I’ve had was my maf sensor took a shit because I did a seamfoam cleaning in my throttle body and some of the solvent got on the sensor I guess and it eventually gave out.
I’ve seen a lot of people driving them around, but in all honesty I don’t know in this market. Everyone’s charging over for a vehicle that already stickers too much IMO
Depends how discounted. But honestly it’s significantly more refined and for “most likely” $1000 difference in price, the 22 is worth it. (Just bought 1 today, traded in my 2013)
