I must have watched all the actual golf videos on YT because now I'm being suggested these disc golf videos.... With that said, I just ordered a starter set
The seated ankle roll had me rolling... Not really sure how that happens, but it seems like Jerm's ankles are only safe in the prone position. I'll keep them in my prayers.
@@trevorreniger5670 I am typically out minimum 3 weeks when I do even a minor roll. Granted that is from Ultimate which is much harder on ankles and therefore requires more time off.
i always time it cuz jomez releases videos at exact hours. so if the video is 43 minutes long, i wait 17min, watch it and b9 will release at the perfect time.
Personal opinion on the whole lie debate: I like the option to choose either the front with a mini or play from the back. 8" is not going to make or break a game, but having the option allows for small technical decisions and strategies. Just like choosing to use the side of the tee pad or the tee pad itself does. Example, your disc lands with the back edge right on a root. You can use the mini and gain that 8" footing gap for a standstill or putt. If the root was on the front side, you can take the lie behind the disc to avoid said root. Just a nice little decision tool in the bag and I don't see a need to change it.
@@erikolsen8884 Simon can throw Conrad' max distance with a seemingly little effort. Short range tho it's close, Conrad is super accurate. If you need an Ace from 200-300ft your probably choosing Simon or Conrad to take the shot
Right there with you Jerm on not being able to watch people roll their ankles. I have a history of bad ankle injuries and feel physically sick watching it happen.
I like that you can be straddling the circle's edge and have the choice of a standstill or a jump putt depending on if you mark it with your mini or not. I think it's one of the best examples of gamesmanship and strategy in disc golf. If you've got a hot 34-foot jumper like Drew or James, and you can consistently play your disc to the circle edge, all power to you.
Thank you, Jomez & crew: a super-stacked card, with some super-stacked play! It almost looks like Basket #6 is a test of intelligence ahead of skill. It might seem like the course designer is offering you the chance of a birdie here, when in fact they are goading you into taking a circle-4 bogie, and potentially losing a disc to the water. As a course designer, whenever I play a new course, the question I always ask myself on each new teepad is this; "What is the course designer's intention here?" For holes like #6 where the risk heavily outweighs the reward, the majority of mortals are best advised to play for a safe par, and take strokes on most of the birdie hunters who end up grabbing the bogie, or worse.
Great hearing Simon say he is trying to win. We've heard him talk a lot about being in the lead and about winning and how he really doesn't like all the pressure that comes with that. Seems like he is embracing it this time!!
Very interesting usage on not taking a mark with Drew on hole 8. Yet another rule that needs some more clarification, or universalization in the near future! Edit - It's very interesting because he could have easily marked it, not allowed to jump, but gets about an extra foot closer to the basket. neat
I think being able to mark your lie the way we currently do is preferable; because of the terrain we play on, marking your lie can sometimes mean the difference between stable and dangerous footing.
41:00 Oh, so "dome" means "head"? Makes sense. Finally, 23 years after the song Freestyler was released, I now understand the lyrics of it: "straight from the top of my dome, as I rock the microphone..." Before I always thought they meant a literal dome of a building. What an epiphany! Thank you Nate Sexton.
It is annoying that i am forced to watch next day coverage until the final round. Then i watch the live final round and the next day when Jomez and gatekeeper come out they fill my feed, but i already saw all this. Hopefully soon we can get live coverage every day of the tournament.
Cracks me up how Simone is always announced as from Germany. That’s like saying Paul McBeth from The United States. Everyone else always has the city and state announced. Need to announce Bremen, Germany for Simon.
I like to see people being dead accurate with their Jumpputts like drew here or jump putt jones and they should be allowed to go jumpputt or a few inches closer to the basket in my opinion
Jomez never appear in my feed. I have to manualy go find the channel, to see new uploads! :O IF annyone else have this, let me know! As ill go to RU-vid and make them fix it!
How does a seated ankle roll even work? The only thing I can think of is that jerm leaned over to one side really far and his ankle stretched as he rolled over onto it. Is that close?
