Man, I love Prather but he just couldn't figure out the right lane today

Yeah man! Unfortunately, Prather's soft hand was his detriment today. Troup was the better bowler on this day, on this condition. Also crazy to see Prather have a mental lapse on easy spares. He doesn't usually do that with money on the line.

I rooted for Prather all the way, but on this day Troupe had the better look. Those balls that Prather threw in the first game where he hung the ball onto the right and the ball never came back killed him. Hard to bowl when you must hit the exact board with exactly the right speed and rotation, but if you miss right at all the ball just goes off a cliff.

yea, he plays them opposite of what many other people would do. He moved left instead of right. Seems strange to me.

Prather has never been one to move right and "shove it." Prather easily has the silky-est, most majestic release on tour. Unfortunately, some times it is his detriment. Today was one of those days. When he wins, it's on conditions where he can stand left and wheel it right. I can't imagine his ball reps didn't make some recommendations. I also know he is stubborn AF and probably didn't listen.

@@donkeydiehard879 - You’re watching one 2 game series on impossible conditions. Doesn’t excuse the 1-2-4 Miss but in general yeah, Prather is light years better then Troup. Prather may have the best hand control on tour right now

@@thisoneguy6280 Don Carter with 4 people bowling 2 games each is far from impossible. Were they playing tough? Absolutely. "Impossible?" Definitely not. There is more to bowling then having good hand control. A good release is useless if it isn't the correct release for the condition. A good release is useless if it's the wrong ball. A good release is useless if it's at the wrong mark, wrong speed... the list goes on. On this day, and many others, Troup was the better bowler. Prather's hand control and soft hand at the bottom was not what the condition needed. Prather my favorite one handed bowler and I'm one handed myself. I absolutely LOVE Prather's game but to say he is "so much better *than* Troup," is categorically false. Troup does things Prather could only dream to do. Prather does things that Troup could only dream of. Unless they are named Jason Belmonte, nobody in the top 10 is "so much better," than anyone else in the top 10. Even more true for the top 5 in the world, which both Prather and Troup are.

@@Habeev07 um, no. Urethane was designed to be used in exactly these conditions. Also, if I know throwing urethane will get in my opponents head, I will throw it 100% of the time, IF I can score still. I don't care what the shot is. I am there to win. Why would I not throw the best ball for the pattern because my opponent will cry, do to their inability to adjust. These are pros, urethane is thrown on 80-90% of sport patterns.
