Aerox is a king of 150-160cc scooter segment.. I have one here in PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭 . And I use it for long rides like 500km to 1300km . No complaint no issues.. just upgrade the fuel tank and go for long rides .
In India even performance scooters have to be practical, that's the mindset, performance with practicality, if not we can buy a number of bikes for the cost of Aerox. There is a reason why TVS Ntorq and Honda Activa have crazy numbers.
I am basically the 1st ntorq owner in my entire municipality, the attention it gained when I bought that was insane and no ntorq owner would never get that,
What a fun and humurous way of doing reviews. Why is this style not seen more often. Nothing beats a review that combines with entertainment. Kudos to you guys
Schumi is ❤️ About the scooters, well, NTorq is the best scooter in terms of marriage between practicality & fun. It appeals to the mind and heart both. 👍 However Aerox is something you just can’t ignore. Purely appeals to the heart and how 🥰
I have a 1st generation Aerox 155, and i love it in every way, plus its arguably just as good looking, if not better then the 2nd generation in my opinion. While they cleverly stuck with a slight evolution to this iconic design, i feel the headlights (the eyes) of the 1st Gen were much nicer in shape and proportion to the overall design. Never the less, the Aerox (1st & 2nd gen) is clearly the only scooter out of all, that has motorcycle qualities in design, build, handling and performance. Yamaha has built the best looking and sportiest scooter in this segment the world over. This is what Aprilia should be producing, instead of an SR160 that is still based on the old basic Piaggio Typhoon scooter. Remember the sports 50cc segment with Yamaha Aerox 4 vs Aprilia SR50R vs Gilera Runner SP ....they were all clearly the best, (and particularly for Yamaha and Aprilia), exclusive stand alone models in the 50cc class....these would be the pride & joy of aspiring young MotoGP loving teenagers in Europe. Now Yamaha has replicated this brilliance in the sports 150cc class, with a Flagship Aerox 155, and it clearly stands head and shoulders above anyone else. The Aerox 155 has become a legend already, and even features its own race series in some of the Asian markets. The Aerox ROCKS!!! and REVS your HEART!!!.
My Aerox is the top line version offered in the Malaysian market, with ABS , Keyless start system, and also came standard with KYB V3 rear suspension system, which includes gold colour sub-tanks. I bought it Brand new.... 11500 ringgit (Malaysian Dollars)@@nitinhadale1519 (11500 Ringgit = 198038.89 Indian Rupee)
I just got a Aerox 3 months ago - It scores 10/10 on following points : Silent engine - best refinement seen so far, best in handling & ease of riding on city roads, confidence booster on highways(does not wobble between two trucks .... hahaha), best in milage, ample of under seat storage, best looks & design, sexy sticky tyres. The only place where it dissapoints a bit is the suspension - which can be managed by replacing the shocks (just ordered RCB rear gas shocks from Malaysia). Infact it can take on any 150-200 cc bike in a mile run, gracefully.
I love the chemistry between Zehan and Arun and how they bring about the comparo between the scooters. About the scooters, Ntorq - I knew it would come on top. TVS is killing it. Aerox - Such a sporty scooter. Can't believe I'm saying this about a scooter. SXR160 - I had such high hopes for this one. Looks killer and comfy. But it seems there are comfier scooters than this. 450X - What a revelation. It'd definitely kill the scene if the range issues aren't there anymore. Great comparo, fantastic choice of music and memes. I'd love to see more of this soon.
@@devashishrege1 dude ntorq is 125 c, just imagine if tvs developed a ntorq version with 150-160 cc that will be the end of rest ,cuz I am sure that they will be priced less ,and in reality no one would purchase aerox may be the young people ,even though in that price range you could literally get a sports bike,
@@nagarjunekesavan my engine seized after a year they said sir there is no engine oil I asked them how much did I ride after last service he replied 150 kms sir Okay and do you spot any leak? He said no sir So last service the engine oil was drained and not topped up Later going through the details they agreed it was a mistake and after a lot of hassle they asked me to bear 50% of engine components which I agreed to and then sold it later once I got it back since it was out of warranty
Aerox is the king no doubt about it, i purchased it last year, and i did 3 times 2000 km long trips from hyderabad to silligudi, i am very happy with the performance it beats most of the 150 cc bikes like apache 160,xblade,fz and bullet 350 etc , also happy with its stability mileage less maintenance, most of the time i crused at 100 + speed, best thing is wherever i stoped everyone was asking about the scooter specially in petrol ⛽️ pumps,i have little complaint about tank capacity only, it is 5.5 litre tank but it's very stylish and don't have to get down from the aerox to fill it,intrestingly petrol pump guys always go backwards to fill it. Lol 😅😅😅
NTORQ is winner here in the basis of Price, but it is a 1 step bellow segment compare to 150cc.....so I think Yamaha Aerox is a True Winner here, what you guys mean by performance. ...................
I bought Aerox the week it launched in India. Performance wise its freaking amazing. Boot storage is huge and features like Auto engine off are really a treat when you're in cities like Chennai, Bangalore etc. 1 thing I don't like is the suspension, it's really hard and feels bumpy. Hope they bring that gas suspension soon in India so that i can swap it out.
@@highhope8200 Okay, but i have 1 question. These tyres are large compared to normal scooters. And OG Ray ZR and NTorqe are having good suspension but with much smaller tyres. So, gas suspension is not worth the cost?
This review reminds me of old Indian Automobile magazines( Autocar, Topgear etc), the point scale reviews and script would not have felt out of place in one of those...
No big butch body...no big badass engine... No electric quick torque... Even not the fresh one. This shows how tvs really knows the market and product. And also they are upgrading every year and that is amazing
Maxi scooters are more practical...... They block major part of scorching heat waves in summer, block debris splashes in rain and block nerve freezing winds in winter from your toe to abdomen..... And you reach neat and clean and safe to your destination even in extreme weathers. A mature advice. 😌
NTorq isn't shiny in everything but just get the job done, and most interisting feature is you could pay them lower. Just like me, I am averaged but winner in life.
Bought the ather 450x just 30 days back literally, totally happy with everything about it, except range which is average, k for cities ie if travel is under 100kms, that's the only bummer. Else go for it.
The way u show and way u edit video as well of commentary and things u guys deserve million subscribers and views i wish and hope u will get .illion views asap
I knew it that Ntorq was already a daily day to day use scooter but the Sxr 160 impressed me and also Aerox never thought that SR 160 would score less points really Aprilia give the SR a great update instead of just simply changing the looks as we saw that it was able to pull pillion effortlessly in an uphill more easily. In my opinion Aprilia should lower the stiffness of the front suspension and also the final drive but yes it's able to reach great top end like Aerox not close to the Aerox but like Aerox only because of it's Long Final drive and really they should use the engine of their RS 150 in their scooter like Yamaha did.
Came out in 2018 but the ntorq is still the king of the segment. My notrq is a work horse, I carried 3 cement bags on it and it still won't budge. Going to buy another ntorq for the family to retire mine from works.
If it's a scooter then I'll pick NTorq Or the 450X (subjective to the ride range) by just keeping an eye on the fuel prices and the range they provide with that money. NTorq is the cheapest and sportier (not like Aerox ❤️) with a pretty good looking design I'll choose anyday, but Ather 450X being an EV excelled in its purpose with added anxiety for the range and charging outside and stuff. Thanks for such an informative video.
Just completed 5 days of experience with my 450x, a proud moment for Ather owners as no one would expect it to achieve 2nd position with these sports king rivals. By the way Ntorq deserves its position which is to be 1st. I would definitely had chosen the Ntorq if there was no Ather. Great video ❤️
@@IAN-X I am about to complete one year of ownership here in Mumbai. There was absolutely no waiting period for me within one week got the scooter. I have the service lite plan. So far I have finished one service at 5k kms and it was quick. No issues for me. Completed 7k kms in a year. I can say service experience is better than Yamaha and KTM service experience (Other two vehicles I have previously owned)
I own aerox and I love it. Suspension and all guys won't like it if you think from a scooter point of view, but imo aerox should be viewed from motorcycle pov where you don't want switch gears but don't want to give up on motorcycle performance and stability
It was nice to see Shumi here, he just explains so clearly. Fortunately he didn't go all super saiyan on you when he was stopped. 😅 Amazingly detailed honest comparison. I love this kind of comparo everytime you guys make it, please bring more of these with all the bikes and scooters in their respective segments. Ntorq is the best all rounder, Ather if you want electric and Aerox for pure performance and bike like riding experience. Please do 125cc bikes comparo next zig. Thanks. 🙏❤️
Factors like build quality and engine refinement also should have been added. People would like their scooters to last long with lowest maintenance as well.
TVS Jupiter would have been a bit more practical, with a similar performance as the NTorq, but with a underseat space to gobble up 2 half face helmets. Maybe have a similar test on that, and then share the results?
I don't aggre to Aprilia rating trust me it is the most fun to ride scooter u can easily flick it it's soo nimble u can take corners with high speed with full confidence and braking is just amazing trust me no scooter can even come close in all these aspects... Trust me i am talking from experience.. this video does not do justice to aprilia sr160
As an Aprilia owner I can tell you that it's superb! As an owner of an SR 150 ABS, I would like to share a few points. Completing 3years as an owner this November. 1. Superb Bybre front disc brake! Absolutely superb. I have avoided a few falls due to the same. Really powerful! 2. Single Channel ABS. Overall braking is just 10/10. Great offroad abilities. Nearly unbelievable. The 120/70 are really something. 3. 33-39 KMPL mileage. 28-29 if you ride really hard! 4. 154.8 CC Engine. The suspension is a bit hard, high speed cruising and cornering are AMAZING. 5. Use fuel additives, fuel cleaners and good petrol. The SR150 needs this! Using IOC XP95/Speed/Power. 6. Great throttle response! I have driven from CyberCity to Noida in 44 minutes via NH8,Barapullah and DND. 7. Carburetor cleaning is a must. Please get the vehicle serviced on time! Using Liqui Moly 10W40 Scooter Engine Oil since 8000kms. Changed it after 5500Kms. Superb. Great for throttle response and the engine overall. Proper cooling, power and no buzz. 8. This vehicle is for people who love riding and just enjoy 2 wheelers! Great work Aprilia. 9. Upgraded my halogen headlights to Night Eye LED Headlights LM 6500K 12W for around 1100 RS. It does the Aprilia a lot of justice! The halo looked terrible. Love the white light now. It melted the visor. Had to replace the same. Used Osram NightBreaker Halo. Finally them upgraded to a Sonilex White LED. 10. 2 Years on 7th Nov. 18750 kms done. Service done 4-5 times. Had the last oil change at 17400 after 5000 kms. The SR150 is just a tad bit quicker than the SR160. The SR160 does offer a catalytic converter and Fuel Injection. Cheers Aprilia! Ride safe everyone. Please buy MRF Zapper tyres or anything! Avoid the Vee Rubber tyres. Got my Zapper for the rear around 20 days ago. UNBELIEVABLE IMPROVEMENTS!!!! Also. THE Aerox 155 is superb. Aprilia. Overhaul needed. My SR would have been 2nd here. Aprilia LCI it seems.
I get to see more of aprilia SR scooters in goa ... Now coming to the point I have been using vespa slx 125 for quit some time and the engine for the vespa and aprilia are the same I presume and never has my vespa given me more than 24 to 26 kmpl.. That is a low milege which I get... And how is it possible that your aprilia being a 150 cc engine gives you 34 to 39 kmpl beats me... And yes you don't get parts outside cause I had been asking for the oil change filter and no where it is available the same oil liquimoly 10 w 40 I brought and kept at home for 1 year because I was not getting the oil filter spares outside but decide to use with old oil filter and even though I have put this oil no major change in average just the same that is my worry 😔cause I have use my vespa every now and then what is your take on this... And even when I ask for parts in vespa service center they give excuses like not available come next time....
Nicely placed TVS ntorq as a winner.why u guys added only one 125 cc scooter in between three 150 scooter.why u not added sr125,...rayzr,. ..,avenis.. .what u what to show to public.don't do scripted. Forget to add Jupiter 125..if they add it will be in second place
@ foodiemoodie ..why they bring only one 125 cc scooter...sr 125 also equally powered scooter.. The king of PERFORMANCE not mean potato, cylinder, suitcase, water tin.. COMPARING PRICE WITH 125CC
Performance +practicality go for Honda Vario 160 4v engine. Honda has some fantastic scooter like ADV 150, Airblade 150, PCX 160 and Vario 160. Now time to launch in Indian subcontinent.
I almost set for Aerox before I heard about its bad suspension, now I am confused, which is the best bike with the most comfortable ride at the 1.5 Lac price range?
Although ticking check boxes for all the Ps is the NTorq and the go to scooter for me, the most exciting moment of the video was Shumi's introduction. 😅
My personal experience:-> In traffic ntroq and aprila sr feels better than other... And Yamaha aerox is best for long journey 👍❤️❤️... What about yours..??
Why NTORQ is not providing ABS in it. Safety is important in such performance scooters. Correct me if I am wrong. I am waiting ntorq to provide ABS in it. Although they can upgrade it with 150cc scooter if they want to.
After shumi reveals his face, now I can say that I could have guessed him,his helmet and track suit are the giveaway I have seen it a lot of times And when the presenter wished if he could only talk ,i didn't expect Shashi Tharoor of Indian two wheeler journalist to come out
I feel like the best when i ride my NTorq 125 .. no one make a challenge yet including Aprilia ather etc..and waiting to meet a aerox with a great rider
