Pro R, just because I think it will become a beast further down the line. Engine upgrades, Turbo kit, motec stuff and so on. If it can hold anything like a honda k, not that I would know if it does or not, but 6-700hp is not just a dream then in a sxs without having to swap an engine and still keep it a 4 seater. Well... I'm just dreaming..
Can you imagine sitting in Doug’s garage 5 years ago and telling these guys they’d be dynoing, weighing and ripping a brand new machine in their own shop. Good work guys love the vids.
@@nomercyinc6783 I think he’s more or less just stating that these are just your normal 4-5 buddies that you and I have and instead of like you and I going to work tomorrow these guys are doing what they love at work.
ProR is impressive. These new machines are awesome in just about every way. Pricing is quickly getting away from the average consumer in my opinion. Not a good thing.
Exactly. I can totally afford one but just can’t see spending that much on one. Our local dealers have markups “market adjustments” just like the auto industry is doing. I’m going to wait out until this recession hits full bore and take people to the cleaners that are hard on their luck. I’m a plumbing contractor and I can’t tell you how many rental properties i go to where the tenets haven’t paid rent in over a year but their loaded with brand newish crew cab diesels, 40’ toy haulers and side by sides. These people are so overextended on their monthly budget….cash is gonna be king by the end of the year
I bought my '20 Pro XP4 because of u guys and that thing was awesome !! Had to buy another one so i got a '22 Pro XP4 Premium last year !!! Its a blast bashing through the desert with my family . Can wait to see the ProR in action and hopefully convince me to get a 2seater ProR!!! Keep up the great work guys
The 4 banger would make a cool high compression / high reving NA build. A true all motor screamer around 300HP would be a blast. We’ve seen turbos now let’s see a NA build. Or even just a nitrous build. Whatever y’all decide to do will be interesting though with having such a large displacement SxS engine.
That engine is already really NA performance oriented and tuned. they have the VE pretty much maxed out on that thing straight from Polaris to run 91/93 gas. The only thing you could do is swap out for lighter forged parts and do a higher compression piston but you’d have to run E85 or m5 race gas
@@garhead169 I don’t want to go higher at all that’s my point. I’d rather turbo it. But he’s talking about doing a 400hp NA build which isn’t achievable unless you do a 15 or 16:1 on a methanol or ethanol with some cnc head work and bigger valves etc etc
That was the video I've been waiting for someone to make. I've seen drag races with modified X3's but that's the first one I've seen with a bone stock one. I thought for sure the X3 would take it. So much for the power to weight ratio theory lol. It just looks like the Pro R gets out of the hole way faster without the turbo lag. I wish they would've done a roll race on pavement. But that Pro R rips!! 🤘
Wow great video! What was the torque difference between them? I haven’t watched your videos in sometime and really impressed with your shop! So cool you have a dyno set up. Very happy for you guys. 👍👍
You guys are awesome I love all your vids! Not one bad one that I've seen and ive been watching yall for a few years now. Wish I could meet yall out there my 250r is in middle of rebuild now. Connecticut is a troop for Glamis. Hope yall have fun keep up the good vids
I’ve gotta say I don’t like the styling as much on the pro. The x3 just looks so good. Cool to hear Polaris is stepping up their game, hopefully can am can one up them again so we can get some even wilder machines!
Great channel people! Any chance you would put up a chart/page with the dyno results and specs (mods, etc.) that you've gathered? Lots of info that us subscribers would love to see! Thanks again!
Interesting results with the power to weight ratio being slanted towards the Can am, but that’s why you race them and not just compare stats! The build quality is over the top on the new Pro R, but so is the price tag in reality on both machines... $50k sheeeesh?!?! Great video as always fellers!! Always enjoy it!!
For the extra cost! (50,000$) Pro R My money's is on the X3! (25-30,000$) It seemed to have the most issues on the trip to the NORTH POLE!! Am I WRONG??
When will you guys be out to Glamis? Asking for us west coast followers to be able to show you guys some love for being the best side by side crew out there. 🙌🏻🙏🏻
I would rather have a heavy duty machine that is less likely to break on the trail than a light weight machine that’s good for drag racing which matters zilch when you’re out on the trails.
LMFAO they're still built the same, and a Pro-R will still break just as easily as the rest. Now they just charge you more for the opportunity to be forced to buy replacement parts
@@youdidntsuffer weight doesnt matter nearly as much with a CVT because of the infinitely variable gear ratio, and the extra weight only helped make more traction, i actually expected the Pro-R to win
Wow! That Pro R is gorgeous! I’d take one in a heartbeat. Guess I’ll just stick with my Maverick Sport 1000R though. No way I could justify the cost. I need a buddy that works for Polaris in Huntsville AL 😂
Mike who's side are you on???? Brake boost that bitch!!! hahaha, Awesome vid. Make sure you take a few Can-ams to Glamis so you're not walking everywhere!! 😂😂Wish I was coming with!
Would really like to see the torque numbers compared between the bigger motor Pro R versus the turbo CanAm. I think that’s where the Pro R will shine even more!
Agreed, all that was old is new again. "There's no replacement for displacement." ~1000 cc in a RZR Turbo R two-cylinder vs this 4 cylinder Pro R at ~2000 cc. The torque difference is what helps the launch out of the hole against the X3 in the video. NOW...let's turbo charge that 4-cyilinder.... "The all new 2023 Pro Turbo...MSRP 69,999" Maybe...
Can't wait to get my 2 seater and get working on those clutches and hopefully by this time next year I'll have a turbo on mine thanks for sharing how the pro R is doing in the real world have fun in the warmer weather should be a blast!!?
The Pro R is an impressive machine. Im really curious on how its going to do at Glamis. Are you guys keeping it stock for that or planning mods for it before then?
Interested in the profromance of the pro R alternator. How will it do with water? Many of us polaris fans love to ride in many conditions. Will SXS blog put the Pro R to the test.
Being as I spend 90% of the time in low range in my x3 crawling, I’m really curious to see what the pro r top speed in low vs the x3 max. This will allow us to see if the pro r is going to make as good a crawler as the x3 is or if the pro r is going to need a gearing changes to make it crawl like the turbo S does.
