Very useful and helpful video for those of us considering buying a Porsche E-Hybrid (whether Cayenne or Panamera, the latter presumably getting 10-20% better range because of its aerodynamic build). My understand is that 17.9 kWh is the size of the battery pack, but only about 14 kWh are used. I would like to see you drive it as most PHEV owners do: in E-Hybrid mode (all-electric) for speeds < 40-45 mph (65-70 km/hr) and in "Hybrid Hold" mode for speeds > 45 mph. So I often do ALL my daily commuting and driving on city/urban roads under 40-45 mph, and I'd like to know how far you can drive this E-Hybrid Cayenne in E-Hybrid mode and never going over 65-70 km/hr (because that's "real-world" PHEV use for a large majority of miles driven by PHEV owners). Also, note that the 2024 Cayenne will have a 26-kWh battery pack and claimed (by Porsche) 80 km of all-electric range -- though, again, I suspect that this range will be gotten only by driving < 70 km/hr. Anyway, this review is encouraging me to seriously think about buying the 2024 Cayenne (not an earlier version with the smaller pack).
i have a 2017 and i do approximately 26 kms on a charge this just means i have to charge it more often but i did 1000Kms on a full tank of gas and for me that is absolutely amazing ! you want to go fast you can, you want to save money and drive on battery well you can ! this is a the best of both worlds ! awesome truck !
E hold mode just doesn’t use the battery, no? In that case it is not operating as a regular hybrid, it would only be running on gas. A test operating as a regular hybrid would be nice too! Such as a long road trip scenario.
