Please take a minute to check out the next video in the series- The Road to Recovery- Episode 3 - Jan 2022
I am bringing you along with me as I come off a forced 7-week break from the pipes
In this episode, we hear a 6/8 march and a ground of a Piob. Hopefully, it will be noticeable that the playing is better, but I'm still reminded that I need to check different parts of the instrument to ensure "the machine" is running its best
Just like the earlier videos, this is no different than what any one of you must do. I"m just hoping that I pass on a few tips and perhaps inspire some others to get back playing. I am reminded once again that playing for the sake of practice is not always fun, but practicing, and then rehearsing, to get ready to perform, is an excellent musical ladder to climb. Having this small performance that I needed to prepare for seems to be just the ticket to help get me back on track.
I"m NOT looking for cheers and hurrahs, I'm just trying to commit to getting back to being "match fit" and this helps to keep me going. Plus, it may help some of you to realize that it's just not easy playing pipes after a break, we're all the same.
Also if you could do me a favour and Subscribe to my RU-vid Channel while you're there that would be greatly appreciated.
Feel free to share, like, and leave a comment below the video on RU-vid since that really helps my channel too.
