2022 RC390 Track Bike Modifications

High level overview of the modifications I've done to my 2022 RC390 so far; the modifications are limited to controls, bodywork, crash protection, and tires at this point. Next on my list and in the near future is likely steel-braided brake lines, brake disc, and brake pads, and then maybe considering suspension upgrades. However, I am a hobbyist and not a talented rider so I don't know how much I'll benefit from certain things when the bike still has a lot more to offer me just in its stock form.

Hi Sunny! Tyres… after having installed the rear sets I also changed the original Conti Roads with Metzeler M9. Yesterday I had a track day and was sure I could lean more and more safely. It went the opposite way, the rear tyre looses traction in places where I had no problems before, I risked a high side also. Even with 1,6 bar pressure. I guess that the tyre carcass is too stiff for the weight of the bike and it did not get warm enough. Any idea? Thanks

I only have experience with pirellis at this point so can't provide insight, sorry. Best to talk to your local tire guy and see if your sizing and pressures are appropriate.

I'm a bit taller and a bit heavier and have one of these - at 2018 stock RC390. Hauls me just fine. The forks are too soft. My guess is their standard rider is a 60 - 70 kg person. So just fit a set of fork spring for your weight. They are a great machine, I have a CBR1000RR and a YZF1000R too. I never feel let down. It's really that the fun takes place at a more sensible speed. Power low where you want it very quick from 0 to 100 km/h. After that it's had enough. You will love owning one of these.

You should checkout "Gray area KTM" it's a US based racing team which makes all performance and body parts for KTM 390's from 2013 to 2023 models.

i've purchased a few things from there, so far my favorite has been the shift linkage support. doesn't work with a kickstand though, in my experience.

i'm sure there are a variety of windscreens that would fit. for me, i used a zero gravity double bubble windscreen for a BMW S1000RR 2015 - 2019 (MRA would work too).

not sure, tyga doesn't say. maybe like 220mm to 240mm. if you're interested in the clip ons, just search for tyga performance.

if you're asking about the fairings, the website I got them from is linked in the description. if you're talking about the sticker kit, it's from KTM. AOMC has it, just search for "KTM Factory Graphics Kit RC390 2022"
