(2022) Revenge of the Mummy The Ride - Universal Studios Hollywood 

Still remember my first time on this. I was eight and thought it would be a chill ride and was impressed in the beginning and I thought the animatronic was really cool. But then the launch happened and my life flashed before my eyes and I screamed the whole ride 😂 But now it’s one of my favorites

"now your souls belong to me" i remember the 1st time i went on that ride and when the "whirr" started my heart DROPPED TO MY STOMACH

I cannot describe the incredible emotion and rush I got when the rollercoaster accelerated. Then once I thought it was over it started going backward! I had a huge smile and was screaming the entire time, loved it!

I just got on this ride after refusing to go on this ride with my mom for years. I can describe this ride with just one word: awesome. Unfortunately, I have sensitive ears, so when one of the crew members noticed I was wearing headphones, he told me that I couldn’t wear them during the ride. When discussing what to do with my mom, that same guy gave me a set of earplugs and they surprisingly worked out well. When we got to that fast part, I held on to those earplugs for dear life, and it was crazy. Needless to say I enjoyed it, and I got to thank the guy who gave me them at the end.

I was terrified to go on this the first time I went on this ride. I am not the biggest fan of roller coasters or dark rides, but my cousins made me go on with them and my aunt even doesn't like roller coasters but she said this one wasn't bad. I went on it and absolutely LOVED IT! The rush I felt when being launched was incredible and even going backwards was so much fun!!! I was laughing the whole time and now it's my most favorite ride at Universal Studios and I always go on it now whenever I go! BEST. ROLLER COASTER. EVER!!

it's not captured on camera well but the immediate acceleration from the very slow start to the fast ride is absolutely crazy, my face in the picture shows how shocked I was

I went on this ride and here’s my reviews: If you have motion sickness, do NOT go on the ride. The ride goes 45 mph after the pharaohs come down at 1:43 in the video. It doesn’t go slow then fast like working your way up, it just immediately goes 45 mph. I was 11 when I rode on this ride and this ride shocked me. I got scared when my family and I got in the seats but it’s a short and good ride. I definitely recommend this ride. It’s very short, yet so fun! I would go back to universal for this ride. This is my 3rd favorite ride. And the scariest ride in the park. When you go backwards, it is not scary, it doesn’t go as fast as you think. But it definitely gives you those butterflies in your stomach feeling. Also, If you want a good picture, (which I cannot get a good pose of because I’ll be screaming) Pose or do something when you go 45 mph. Right at the beginning of when you go 45 mph, there’s a flash. That’s the camera. Smile!

I remember being told this would just be like the Indiana jones ride, never forgiving that person.

I just tried this ride for the first time on Wednesday.. without a doubt, one of my favorites here at Universals Hollywood. I hope they don’t take it down, reminded me a lot of space mountain but in it’s own way 😮‍💨 very fun though!

This ride is insane. It looks slow in this video, but it was really fast. It's so fast that you're almost out of your seat. My butt was off the seat the entire ride, lol. Good thing for that safety harness.

If you don’t know what it’s like, there’s this rollercoaster that has 4 seats in a row and you start off with creepy mummy animatronics. Then this guy on a screen tells you what to do whiles he is getting eaten to death by beetles. Then there is mummies with weapons and a mummy telling you that your taking your last breaths (I think). Then there is MORE mummies with weapons and a big one and then at a random point at that time, you go zooming at like idk 75mph. And there is “hills” that you go up and down and there is different colored mummies scaring you. The wind is insane cuz I went there. You make twist and turns and go fast especially when you go down one of the hills. Then there is 3 golden yellow walls. You stop suddenly and the beetles that killed the man are coming to you. And the reason the woman was screaming at that part is because there is these motion things on the chairs and tingle the meaty back part of your legs as if there were actual beetles. Then you go zooming backwards with different mummies than before, it’s insane. Then you go to the end of the rollercoaster and then the staff applaud for you because you made it out alive😂😂😂. Then yeah. I went on it twice to make sure I got things right. I did. If your planning to go here, cover your ears at the beginning and be aware for jump scares. It’s also pretty fun. And it goes so fast you have to put your belongings in lockers so they don’t fly out on the rollercoaster. This is all the advice I can give you, so use it wisely. Also, those who have epilepsy, I’m giving you an epilepsy warning.

I was on this ride yesterday! Hands down one of my favorite rides in Universal.

THIS RIDE IS INSANE!

I remember in universal studios of this ride. My mom told me to close my eyes whenever i was scared. I only closed my eyes once and going backwards was the most scariest thing of my life

I still remember when you see the spiders crawling and then you feel something under your feet. It terrified me and I was sitting with my legs up and my eyes glued shut the rest of the ride in case it happened again.

I remember the first time riding this ride when I was 10 and I thought it was a normal chill ride but then life flashed before my eyes… it’s one of my favorite rides now but I close my eyes cause I’m kinda scared of it 😳

First time I went on it I was terrified and wouldn’t go on it for a year. I recently went back and went on it like 20 times I love it now

IO love this ride. I must have gone on this ride at least 40 times in the last 6 years.

I went to Universal Hollywood recently and this was definitely the most fun ride (being followed by the Harry Potter Hogwarts ride and the studio tour if that counts.) the only ride I couldn’t go on was the Mario ride but I wasn’t gonna wait in a two hour line that doesn’t use express passes. The mummy ride is definitely thrilling but it only lasts for around a minute. The scariest part is definitely when you take off (it is much faster than it seems in the video at 45 MPH.) there are no big drops but the darkness in the ride just gives it a really scary feel, but by the point when you reach the wall and go backwards it’s not very thrilling anymore. Overall a 9.5/10 and one of the best rides I’ve ever been on.

I was going to ride it when I was like 8 or 9, but ultimately chickened out when my brother said it went backwards. But my brother was so supportive and told me that I could go on it when I was ready. He always explained how rides were so I could mentally prepare myself since I have a fear of roller coasters.

This ride was awesome. Went on it like 5 times due to roller coaster fan. This one was slower than full throttle at magic mountain.

So simple yet effective on doing its job. Just like the movies.

I just recently went to universal for the first time and I had the funniest experience on this ride. This little kid was with his mom and asked the employee if the ride was scary. The employee said no so the kid is excited to go on the ride. We were in the fast past lane so we got to skip everything and I rode with this kid. At the end of the ride all I remember is hearing him sobbing and it was just so funny to me. The employee hella played this kid. Although I won’t lie, I was pretty disappointed by this ride. I still think it’s one of the best ride at universal but the pacing just, off. Like when the ride ends, I thought we were going to go forward one more time but the ride just kind of ends. It just didn’t feel complete

I know Frankenstein is the face of universal monsters but the Mummy has the most sequels, probably making it more important as a foundation for Universal.

I am terrified of coasters. I hate that feeling in my stomach but I love the scene in the beginning of this ride which makes me want to try this. Does this ride go backwards towards the very end? It looked like it went super fast, then it looked as if it started going backwards!

Okay so this was soo fun! I’m 14 and love thrill rides. I will say though when you go past the first part super slow, then go faster, it’s way faster in real life I didn’t expect it but I hit my head on the back of my seat and got a bruise and bump. Just a little warning! ( when it starts going super fast it slows down after)

I’ve been to Universal Hollywood back in 2004, Mummy ride was fun/scary. I remember they had fire room at the end but later changed it to fog like ghost. Does anyone remember fire in end of mummy ride?

My brother got me to get on this ride with my cousin and I was so anxious, luckily it was indoors and it was dark so I wouldn't know what really happened. But when I got on the ride and he said we were going to go really fast, I immediately wanted to get off the ride but there was no turning back at that point, but my brother calmed me down and I was able to do it. So the first few parts were fine, it was slow, but when we got to the part where the animatronic says "Your souls belong to me!" I got really anxious because I knew that was the speed part. I swear when I got to the speed part I felt like we went through a portal at full speed and I was scared as heck but it was so fun I went 2 more times :)

I don't know why, but when I was younger, anything Egyptian themed always gave me the heebie jeebies (Yes, I just said heebie jeebies). So bad to where I couldn't even walk through half the line of this ride alone without needing to be with my mom, my cousin, or just a random group of ride-goers.

Heres my review! : i just went too universal studios and me and my cousin wanted to go on this ride for me it was the anubis outside- i like cyno from geshin impact sooo- i went on it and i tell you. I HATE ROLLER COASTERS they are one of my fears. i didnt even go on the flight of the hippogriff yet i went on this buuuuut nope we saw karts and my cousin was like oh shoot. and i was like. UHHHM MOM NO NO NOOO. the worst part is when we got on the ride we went alone. there was nobody else in the kart and my mom coulnd go cuz she got motion sickness on the harry potter and the forbidden journey ride. at first we were laughing cuz we were like "OooOoOO its trying to be scary so bad lmao" :the actual review of the whole ride:. if you wonder No. its not a simulator its a actual physical roller coaster. and in the start its dark so you dont really see but you go REAAAALLLY Fast in the beginging it also goes sideways.and if you see in the video mid-ride it starts going backwards yep its true you go backwards pretty fast. but theres no loops if your wondering. also if you get motion sickness please do not go on this ride. its a physical roller coaster but the porgections are simulated. however it did take a while to end.
