Yeah, this bike has a charge port on the left side of the seat tube. If my memory serves me right... If you want to charge the battery outside of the bike, you need to use the supplied adapter. We enjoyed this bike. For me to chose one, it would either have to be among the cheaper options, or just being sold by a trusted local bike shop.
Fork is better than the Rockshox 35 Gold RL. The Yari is probably more rugged and stiffer. Something like a Pike Select perhaps... We haven't ridden the bike that many hours, but the performance we got from the shock was just below the Superdeluxe Select+. For what we rode. But that's just my hunch, comparing them side by side could change my mind.
