This thing is absolutely nuts as far as build quality and design go, most people completely miss the point when they compare it to other scooters in the same price class and say it underperforms for the money. This scooter is the TOTAL PACKAGE, something you truly don't need to modify in any way and has superb build quality and reliability. Yes, I have one actually. I ordered it from china and flew here to dubai, it's so nice and worth the money, when I drive it I feel like I'm in a rolls royce compared to kaabos and regular scooters aswell. It's great buy and get the gt2 over the gt1 if you've got the extra money

Hello Dan, Great video and thank you for taking the time to cover everything! I liked and Subscribed! Dan, I also have to comment on your garage and what is in fact the most incredible stable of e-scooters I have ever seen! I watch e-scooter videos everyday because I am searching for my next scooter. It's between the Kaabo Wolf King GT, Nami Burn E or the Segway GT2. Frankly it's always been the Segway GT2 for me because of their quality, Research & Development and I just feel that they will outlast everything else. Sweet ride Dan. Hope it's build quality is on par with the original Segway Ninebot Max and needs very few repairs or none at all besides tires. My original one was a tank. Used and abused and kept on going no stopping it. A steal for the $300 I paid for it. Upgraded to Dualtron Eagle Pro and we'll see if it's as robust. I digress. I'm looking forward to more Segway GT2 videos and I know you have a lot of scooters (Spending your kids money I see. Lol.😂 I'll be doing the same. Jk) better slow down! I'm either eyeing the Dualtron City or Segway now that I hear their brick and mortar stores can fix the Scooters. Not always like that. Before you had to send their scooters to an Authorized repair center in Michigan if anything major happened. Looks like they're bringing the dealership network back. A favor. If you can briefly go over the back end of things like repair and if the dealership supports parts for the scooters you buy. Some are sourced from China so there's a wait. Some like Dualtron is right there on hand. Great video.

@@perfectbill1550 I agree. The first Segway was such a solid tank of a scooter and so reliable day after day I would definitely buy the GT2 without concern even if it is the first generation. Normally I like to stay away from first generation products so companies can work out it's a little bugs but not the Segway GT2. While I'm not in the market for a $4,000 scooter I wouldn't hesitate to buy it if I was.
@@rxonmymind8362 I have 3 scooters, including the Dualtron X2 and Dualtron City, so I'm probably not in the market for the GT2, and will buy a Suron ebike first. IF I needed a scooter (say, if mine were all stolen, then I'd look at one, although I like the big safe wheels of my 15 inch tire City)

That's funny Brother... Yes it is just a little under 116lbs. But it actually feel lighter than the Kaabo King (I think it's the build style that makes it FEEL lighter in weight) Of course the Scooter does provide some Portability concerns as does many of our favorites, like the; Dualtron X, The Kaabo King, Kaabo WW, Kaabo GT Pro, Nami Burn-e, Dualtron Storm, Storm Limited, Dualtron Thunder 2, Mosphera, Vsette 11+ Super 72, YUME X7, Y11, X13, Bronco Xtreme, Hunter QUAD, ZERO 11, PHAETON, WePed SSR, WePed FOLD, WePed CyberFold all in the same weight Class... (Scooters over 103lbs) I'm sure I've left some out but off the top of my head, here are a bunch of eScooters that come in over 103lbs but no one complains. WE ALL just happily buy them... I'm just saying that this video is about more than price, weight, and speed... It's about the TIME and this amazing opportunity to turn the tide for more innovation and improvement. Segway did a lot here (for their first mid range Performance Build) and so there are no more excuses for all the other Companies which we all LOVE, and have supported way MORE than we have Segway (most of us ONLY bought OUR first Scooters from Segway and that's it while BUYING so many other junk Scooters from all those other Brands...) Im just saying Brother... Something to think about???

If I get caught out in the rain, get a flat, run out of battery, or break down... I need to be able to lift this up into the back of an Uber XL. I would love a scooter like this but for the price point, it's just too expensive for the specs. This should have been 72 volts and been able to go about 55 plus miles an hour

Hey @Orlando Driveway Cleaning... thanks for visiting Scootopia. I have spoken to people who have gotten 50 miles and 53 miles of range at moderate 18-20 miles per hour. I am a bigger, heavier Rider and without being in eco (I never Ride eco on any of my Scooters) I have gotten 47 miles of real road range at between 20-35mph. It's not the fastest Scooter on the Road, nor gets the most range out there but this has been one of the most inviting Scooters I have ever ridden. I have bought and own, 38 Power Scooters and enjoy Power, Speed and Range like the next man with all the Scooters to get it with to boot but my Segway GT2 ranks high in my choices for a Scoot to Ride... Yeah that's always a major concern with new Scooter builds my Brother. The good thing is that there are already lotsa service repair techs for Segway Scooters. So WE the Consumer might be in good shape if Segway thought it through enough to improve without abandoning the service aspect that means so much to us all.
Hey @igot5onit423... thanks for visiting Scootopia. I am 6'1" tall (@242lbs) and no the steering Pole is not adjustable on this Scooter. Steering pole height relevance is predicated upon the WAY you RIDE your Scooter. If you are a speed demon and love to race on circuits and tracks then you need a shorter steering pole for control and stability. If you are an off road rider, then you need a little more height for agility and reflex. For riding around the City you need a happy medium of the two. There I'd a way to measure and get your perfect steering pole height that you can consider whenever you're buying a new Scooter so that your personal comfort level is achieved no matter which one of your Scooters you jump on unless you specify one for off road, one for racing and one for city riding then all three would be different. cool but its 800 dollars extra that will make it not accessible to all others and justified compare to the competition specially knowing the span life of a scooter is maxed at 2 years ! what your forgot to mention is how to replace parts mainly breaks tires and all the wear and tear over time this scooter should be in the 3k margin than it could be a consideration to buy . overall its still cool to see what the future will bring. cant wait to see the big brand names like Yamaha or Honda or tesla come with their own tech and innovation .

I have spent over $250,000 dollars on our Favorite Electric Scooters and in my honest opinion, most of them keep pushing junk Scooters upon us with very minimal and incremental changes and/or advancements. They focus more on Speed Speed Speed but there are so many other changes that our Favorite Manufacturers should be adding to these Electric Scooters. Hey Buddy... my top picks would be: • BlueTran Lightning • Kaabo WW X GT • Kaabo Mantis Prince Out of the three, I would lean more to the BlueTran Lightning because of Deck Size, Suspension, 72V Pack, Power and amazing Range. Now this one... I am more and more pleased with, the more I ride it. They did a real good job on it. I know how much you like Power and this is not that but you can keep up with traffic, look good doing it and have the confidence knowing it won't break down on you. You know my thought on having at least the statement makers in my collection. This one, You would want in your collection for sure Brother.

Maybe look at what's more important to You (speed, agility, Build, durability, maintenance, stability, safety, cost etc) How often do a Rider really need and do go over 45mph or find themselves pushing 60mph...? Having multiple Scoots should be strategic... If you already own other Scooters, then how different is your newest choice than what you already have, and what kinda NEW adventure, excitement and joy will your new purchase bring you, or will it just be more of the same.

The Segway GT2 has more weight (which plays a role in stability), The CITY's unique build and large wheels play a key role in its stability. Neither one of these have ANY wobble issues and both are very comfortable and smooth riding (The Segway being much quieter). The Twist Grip Throttle of Segway is more fluid than the Finger Throttle of The CITY. However, The CITY's large tires removes or flattens ANY imperfections of the road. I would say the Segway edges out EVERY other Scooter in Technological Advances. There's just NO Scooter to date as Advanced as The Segway GT Series. Segway has raised the bar there and I'm very anxious to see how the market and Manufacturers will respond. Hopefully they will match Segway's Technology Innovations or out right improve on it. This should excite us ALL. It really boils down to personal preference.

Then it will boil down to your personal preference because BOTH have such individually unique advantages that when totalled bring them to a practical tie. It depends on which unique features meet your direct NEEDS, Budget, USE and Desire.
@@SCOOTOPIAbyOhManDan My City scooter wobbles at 25 mph when I let off the throttle. I'm hoping that will go away if I reseat the front tire. I've bought right angle valve stems. Hopefully those will let me pump up the tire again. The Segway GT2 has GORGEOUS ergonomics, that are a couple years ahead of all other scooters.

Get in contact with the Vendor You bought it from (hopefully it was MiniMotorsUSA.com or VoroMotors.com) either of those guys will get to the bottom of that wobble and help you get that thing taken care of. yeah the GT 2 is certainly the supercar of the e-scooters. Got mine quite recently and oh man I just couldn`t feel more happy about my choice. I`ve ridden a lot of the "top scooters" that one or other friend of mine has but I really don`t care they can kill me easier by reaching 120km/h. Not to mention that the stability at those speeds is...less than desirable. I mean whichever person glances at one of these their most immediate impression 9 times out of 10 is that it just looks like a proper vehicle not just build quality but even design wise is just so slick and elegant. Kaabos are cool scooters ofc but they look soo damn ugly and uninspiring to me. Also I think the target group that segway compared to pretty much all the other brands that do beast scooters is completely different making the endless comparison between the GT2 and the more established models is absolutely irrelevant.
They're both very good Scooters. The BEST title is subjective to the Rider. They are both so different. The CITY is in a Class of its own and the Segway GT2 is in a CLASS of its own. I love my CITY... it's amazing. I haven't ridden the Segway enough to put it in a range of my collection but I do like it a lot so far. I do think the Technology is better than any Scooter created to date. The rest of these Manufacturers have to up their design and production game.
I like my City better than my Dualtron X2 - (for the moment) - but the Segway is just gorgeous ergonomically, and it's a couple of years ahead of other scooters in design. Notice how Dan mentions multiple times that the scooter is silent, and glides so comfortably at low speeds, and has traction control and sort of anti-lock brakes, and great battery management, and is great for waterproofness, and has such an excellent display that shows you everything you want to know, and has great turn signals, and a simple 4 speed setting. Nice suspension.

Ohhhh Mannnn @JayCarl... You are so right in many aspects but let's remember WHAT we're dealing with here. The Segway GT 2 will NEVER beat ANY of the Power Beast Scooters we ALL love, buy and celebrate. However, when it comes to TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCE and BUILD Quality... there is NO Scooter that can rival the Segway GT2. There's probably NO ONE on the planet more qualified TO AGREE with You MORE than ME (just by Virtue of the fact that I have bought and ridden more Power Beast Scooters than ANY Private Consumer in the world) I know the thrill, feel, excitement, and joy each and every Consumer who OWNS... BUYS... USES... and SERVICE... these Mega Favorites that we all fall over backwards for and ARGUE with anyone on their merits and capabilities but when it comes to comparing those Beast to WHAT Segway DiD here is WHEN those WHO try to COMPARE miss the whole point... The FACT is and at some point will have to be embraced... is that Segway is HEADED in the right direction (when it comes to what Manufacturers are going to have to do in order to move the NEEDLE forward to a more sustainable Micro Mobility Incommture) and those Manufacturers who DO NOT jump on the band waggon will be left behind and forced to close their doors. I travel this country talking to politicians and Power Players in World Affairs everyday and what I hear in my endeavors to advocate and promote our Industry has convinced me of WHAT direction MUST take place and HOW Government Agencies around the World are collaborating and coming together with Viable options that will actually sustain our Industry and here is the KICKER... are You sitting down? I have made my plans and ALL THE (34) Power Scooters that I have bought... over $300K in Scooters) will be enshrined in a Museum (Scootseum) I am currently curating and planning to Open for a historic reference of The Micro Mobility Incommture. Sorry to have to bare such TRUTH to You but there's so many People that are fixated on The Power Scooters and Manufacturers that we all LOVE SO MUCH (who actually don't make any changes towards the direction of our Incommture) they ONLY make small, incremental change that ALWAYS point to MORE SPEED and POWER. You mean the Wolf King GT with the really cheap quality and bad rear suspension system that needs the bushings replaced after 1 off-road session? Or the 40A fuse required to stop it from catching fire (even though we were lied to as it has a 50A controller but doesn’t actually output 50A without catching fire)? The Wolf King GT probably has the cheapest quality design of any of the beast scooters. The escooter industry is so bad, mostly cheap designs (compared to bicycles, cars, motorcycles which all have high quality companies). For example, most beast scooters need an external steering damper. The Segway GT actually has a properly engineered front end geometry. The steep front stem rake angle, combined with the offset of the front wheel gives it the longest front end trail length of any scooter, like a proper motorcycle. This makes the Segway GT the most stable scooter at high speed as the steering is self centering and the steering column has built in damping (no need for an external damper). Further more, the front suspension design ensures that the front wheel only moves backwards when hitting bumps. This means that there is always a long front end trail length when the suspension is active, so you will never get steering wobbles. Also due to the double wishbone linkages, the steering stem rake angle is always maintained unlike the fork design on the Wolf King GT which is prone to brake diving under hard braking.
That's my point @@brandonfl9591... you are hitting on the right cylinders. Like I said and say more often now, than anytime before and I say this as perhaps the poster child Consumer who keeps buying all these Power Beast pieces of junk, and that is that power and speed is not sustainable and we ALL who are so addicted (ME included above all others) to all this size, speed, power, Performance performance performance are in for a rude awakening if we sink our eggs deep into those baskets. The Segway and now Apollo PRO are two Scooters that are actually headed in tye RIGHT direction... our Incommture is headed into a more, technological advance and not the small incremental shifts that all the Manufacturers we so love are headed. It took me a while to get and realize this but I have set with enough Industry Governmental Executives to NOW KNOW that things are going to have to change. So I'm working on my "eddiction" cause I really do want to see our Incommture thrive and enjoy being a part of that growth. People are too serious about the Power and Speed though. I was (still am to a large degree) but I'm working on the changes needed.
Going to upgrade my existing Xiaomi Pro 2 for the Segway-Ninebot GT2! Will definitely use the GT2 as my daily drive to work and town. Very futuristic and the overall design is inspired by Super cars/motorscycles and that transparent PMOLED display is amazing! 😃🛴
