Shadow of Spawn is a Japanese Spawn comic series that the MK game character and figure are based on ;)

I love that the BatMan Who Laughs is named after the old black & white horror film the Man Who Laughs which is the film that inspired the creation of the Joker, it all comes full circle! 😆

To be honest, The Batman Who Laughs is a pretty good concept, But to me, I don't really like it when storylines or multiverses ruin the characters of both MARVEL and DC, But Spawn himself does definitely look really fantastic and I might get him because Todd McFarlane did create a badass character, Great review Toyshiz.

Both are very nice. I got the BWL not too long ago, and it's definitely nicer than the OG DCM version in my opinion.

Spawn's original look is one of my favorite costumes of all time. I've never been a fan of the big, tree truck boot.

Hi Shiz! I have finally come to terms with the plastic chains but those look terrible compared to the ones from the first Mk11 Spawn. To me, the best modern Spawn figure out there (perhaps tied with the Kickstarter version) Now, do the boot and gauntlet appear to be removable, I mean, could these be cut away to get an original Spawn? A custom might be possible at some point...

Also, Toyshiz, This has nothing to do with the figures, But in your honest opinion, Who would win in a fight? Spawn or Pinhead from Hellraiser? Because Spawn does have cool powers and can do anything, But I was just wondering, Please let me know.

I just wish we could have more of the actual MK characters. We need a Sonya, Frost, and I would love Shang Tsung. But hey, if this puts enough money in the bank to be able to do other things whatever. A two pack of redone Scorpion and Sub Zero would be nice

I personally look forward to the introduction of The Batman Who Shits™, the alternate Earth version of Batman who has irritable bowel syndrome.

The peg pins that hold the shoulder (deltoids) into the inner sockets of his chest, are a tad bit too long. That's why he looks 1. top heavy and 2. has nasty gaps where the shoulder wheels sit. If you shorten the pins by a little, he will look much better balanced and have no gaps present in between, without hindering his range of articulation. Its the same problem with the MK11 Commando Spawn. That one also looks top heavy because the shoulders are sticking out farther than they should.

What the Shiz!? What's with that butterfly joint on Spawn!? I've been collecting McFarlane Toys action figures since 2002 and I've never seen anything like that. I sure hope it's not a design fault with this particular figure cause I was really looking forward to buy one. Does anyone else who has this MK11 Spawn have the same crappy butterfly joints or is it only Shiz'?

They both look ok but not mind blowingly great and in today's world I've gotten more selective in what I purchase. If the figure looks great I would purchase it but if it's just a so so figure I don't feel too compelled to buy buy it. I'll wait if it goes on sell but it doesn't then I'll just pass on these without any regrets. Great review as always

They changed the gauntlet and boot design for the Malefik Spawn, don't know why they didn't do the same for Shadow of War, the option is in the game. Still an awesome figure, maybe they're remove the gauntlet and boot for a GOLD LABEL Spawn in the future? Kinda odd the Spawn Universe line only has 1 gold label
