Need a new spinning rod and I’ve been waiting for the updated Exprides. Love the monocoque handle and guide train. Very reminiscent of Poison Adrena. The new finish looks great.
I just bought two of them. 7’2 H, 7’2 MH, beautiful rods, they are perfectly engineered 👍. I do kayak fishing at urban lake. I have Shimano scorpion DC and SLX XT. I am very happy with my investment. I think they are going to keep the value very well. And I will go out fishing more just to enjoy using these toys.
I want that 7'2" ML casting rod for neds and fun little finesse stuff. I was gonna get the zodias since I love the 2 I have, but now I gotta try these babies out
Great overview, and pumped to get them in the spring! Do you know if these prices are expected to increase after Feb 1? I'm hearing Shimano might be raising prices in general on Feb 1, 2022.
I have ordered 3 of the Expride Bs, all spinning, 7'2" ML, 7'2" MH and a 7' Medium. The reversing of the reel seat may be the single biggest improvement on these rods. For those of us that hold our spinning rods hand forward of the reel seat, or at least three fingers ahead of the reel seat, this is a game changer. CAN'T WAIT TO FISH THEM.
@@AustinTyler ordered from American Legacy Fishing, and I've received two of the three, still waiting for the last one. Don't think I'll ever preorder equipment again, it's not a very good process.
@@nawinchester I’m waiting for the 7” medium spinning. Im excited. I heard American legacy is who has been getting them in the most so I think I picked the right company.
I ordered the 7” Medium Expride Spinning. Do you think this will be good for senkos? What else will it be good at? Will it be light as a feather and sensitive, and good enough to catch some big bass?
Would you say the 7ft Light & 7ft M spinning rods would cover all finesse applications? I fish from a kayak and prefer 7' rods or shorter. The 7' light would be used for exposed hook applications where the 7' medium I'd plan on using for texas rigged applications.
@JPDeRoseOutdoors one more question, how would you compare the 7' medium to the 6'-8" medium xtra-fast? Are these complimentary interchangeable in regards to applications? Is one more powerful than the other?
Spiral X on the new NRX+ series and the Ci4+ Shimano designed reel seats would be the only things I can think of. Blank technology on GLX down is Multitaper Design which only Loomis uses
Balance is great, especially with a 2500-3000 size reel. I honestly don't know the weight as I never weighed them when I had my hands on them. I will remember for next time! Let me see if I can dig some info up for you on that.
@@JPDeRoseOutdoors that's good to hear. In this scenario, would 72ml be better than 7L as a shot hair and 1/8 oz 2.8 keitech rod?Or it may be too much for these applications?
@@kayzhang5199 too much in my opinion as the 7' light is tough to beat for those techniques but every person is slightly different on what they look for in rods. I use the 7' L with a 1000 or 2000 Vanford and 5lb PowerPro with an 8lb FC Leader
Shimano Poison Adrena 276M-2 is a 7’6 spinning although a two piece it is very strong, light and sensitive. But a JDM rod but available to order! I have a Complex XR 2500 on mine! But would be nice if the expride came in same lengths and actions as the Zodias! BTW JDM Exprides have different actions and lengths but longer models are two piece. Hope that helps
I have the Steez ags 7’3mh & the 7’3mh Adrena. The Adrena is the better moving bait rod, the ags is the better worm/jig rod. The better value Adrena. The Adrena is worth retail price, the Steez ags not so much
@@livinglife3230 For the price I paid for my 2021 Antares DC ...I was expecting a Jackall fox logo on the reel, just like the poison adrena rods. Come on Shimano?
@@JPDeRoseOutdoors definitely costs more, no doubt. Not sure how desirable it'd be. I'd almost rather them make the blank better though. Loomis did that with the NRX vs NRX+, giving people a reason to upgrade. I generally don't rest my rod on my forearm unless I'm fighting a fish, so I can't see it being that much of a benefit personally. Others might disagree though.
Looks like we don't have the same in Europ, I mean, I have this new model, 172H, it appears that we don't have the hook keeper, and the cork on the back of the real seat is not well design compare to old model, and the one you have in US. It has no shape in it. It's just the minus I have to say about these rods, and as you say, if you get it in your hand, you will buying more ... I have now 4 old model and a new one, and surely more of ... my wallet won't appreciate 😅
Shimano rods = break. Simple as that. I don't want nothing to do with them. I can pretty much gaurantee you that. You gift me that rod and I will sell it. There are certain rods I won't buy. Shimano being one. Sorry.
@@adriank5182 Am I the only one calling out Tacticool Bassin for all their bs? Wanna put you money where your mouth is? I gurantee that i will make easy work of you.
@@wolverinex4243 "are you the one"? Yes you're the one talking like you know anything without ever touching the rod. Ahahahahahaha so sit down and learn to handle equipment before you act smart. And you just got worked, easy. Bye bye lame.
