I live in arizona , One time all the native Americans came through town in a wagon at christmas. They were singing christmas songs and the wagon was decorated and they even had a christnas tree in it. 😊 I liked it so much they let me ride with them and sing and Im white. It was so much fun. Ive never gone caroling before❤😊

I looked them up, did you know their are only 1, 292 Shinnecock? and they always lived on Long Island New York & they were federally recognized in 2010. their population declined so much that by 1721, only 400 were left but they brought it back up by marrying Africans & Whites & some Indians from other tribes around them.

I don't think Shinnecock had the same kind of Plains Indians powwow anyway, they should B dancing more like the Seneca Indians & they were more of a maritime ppl not buffalo hunters, but they lost their real dances, so they dance the Plains Indians style

I would think their dances were much like the Northwest coast Indians with oars, since they had canoes that would hunt 4 whales. they copy Plains Indian style of dancing but don't have the feel of the music & rhythm they should have like U see with Plains Indians.
