Awesome Job Brian!! I would love to see a road test between the AT4X and Ultimate in regards to rider comfort/suspension wise. In addition, a comfort/suspension test hauling an enclosed tandem cargo trailer right around 6000 pounds would be awesome as well. I'm considering one of these 1500's for the upcoming 2023 model year. I thoroughly enjoy and have learned an immense amount from your video's! As always, very much appreciated! 👍😊
They really should have changed the front on the vehicles to differentiate the 2. Also the front bumpers are too low for off roading and it doesn’t have the front skid plate like the zr2. Almost as if GM went super lazy on the At4 and at4x models.
Personally, I like the carbon fiber look over the wood. Then, the red and white contrast looks good too. As with many things trucks/SUVs in the GM lineup, I wish small things like interior colors and materials were not option specific.
My right ear enjoyed this a lot.. Jokes aside, im glad GM finally did away with the khaki/grey headliners/pillars on black interiors, been a huge pet peeve of mine for the longest
I have an AT4 on order with a scheduled build date of August 1st, 2022. I agree that the AT4X interior is substantially nicer than the AT4. It should be for the price difference. If there was an option package for the AT4X interior in the AT4, I would probably have sprung for that. But I suspect that would cut deeply into AT4X sales.
Great vid I currently have an AT4 and im pondering if its worth trading it for a at4x but i cant find any dealers around that have one in stock so i can see the interior and drive one to see if its worth it
Thanks again Brian for this great comparison! I really love the AT4X with one exception, no 3.0L Diesel option on the 22's and the upcoming 23's. What I don't understand is why GM is producing the AT4 with the 3.0L Diesel as standard with a 6.2L as an option. If anything this offering should me aimed at the AT4X due to leaning towards a luxury truck. So far, no diesel for the 2023 according to GM Fleet Guide therefore for myself, I won't purchase it. Brian how does the quality of the leather feel between the two? They claim the Denalis and AT4x have full grain leather as opposed to the leather in other trims being kinda like the last body style.
Would be great if you could order an AT4X with the wheels from the AT4.... not everyone wants black wheels! That interior with the piping reminds me more of my 2018 Silverado High Country; one of the things that swayed me toward the Chevy instead of the Denali in that body style.
Hi Brian, Is there any chance you can compare a high spec SLT with a Denali? What does a Denali have on a high spec SLT? Also, can you equip an SLT with body colored bumpers?
Did you ever get a chance to compare the AT4X and the Denali Ultimate? (I hope I didn't miss it on your channel somewhere) I love the height on the AT4X, but am realistically never going to take it off-road and am concerned about road noise with day-to-day driving. I also love the rugged look of the AT4X, but the Denali Ultimate interior is pretty amazing. I'm really struggling to choose between the two!
Dude, like 4 months ago you said the AT4X wasn’t really worth the cost difference unless you were really going off-reading. I thought it was a pretty good assessment. Now it seems you’re kinda pushing the AT4X. The interior of the AT4 is badass. Obviously you really didn’t give a fair assessment

I did had reservations for the AT4X. How ever the dealer in Miami plaid the game and did not placed my order. When I realized it it was to late to order else where. Upset because of that.
How did you find out where it is? I ordered an AT4 in December and production was completed the first week of April. And I still have no delivery date from GMC or from my dealership

Just got a 2021 GMC AT4. My dead 200K mile 2014 RAM Limited had a much nicer interior. On par with the AT4X minus the Massage seats. Even the hand grips were leather wrapped in the RAM.
Ugh... not only is that white piping is hideous on the AT4X, but it will also be a maintenance nightmare! Too bad you can't get those seats without the white piping!
Brain asked before I know you are the GM GOD please let me know about the color of Satin Steel Metallic ( 2019-2021) will it be offered ? If not why can GM not do it as it is on other SUV and Trucks. Do they not do the same as other manufactures and offer ORIGINAL already mad colors and or custom ones ? The Satin Steel Metallic ( Grey ) is my purchasing decision
I have to disagree with you on the AT4X stitching/piping. I didn't think it would be that big of a deal to me but when I saw it in person I didn't care for it at all.
AT4X way to expensive for a half ton. Reminds me of the Cadillac Escalade platinum interior from 10 years ago in regards to headliner and massaging seats. I don’t know anyone who would actually utilize the suspension. Just a mall crawler.
I just got a 2 year old AT4 with new tires and 70k miles on it for 50 and feel like it was still worth it at that price point. Still like new and windows tinted. It was as high as I wanted to go and obviously could have gotten a brand new truck for the price but not with the features it has. Have options I never thought I’d personally get on a truck. Love the new ones but they’re priced out of my league.
The truck looks good except for the ugly boxy fenderwell cut, only other fenderwell cut that looks worse is both the Chevy & GMC 14 thru 18 models. Some dumbazz come up with it & some idiot approved it. HURT SALES OF THEM BOTH FOR 5 YRS till they redesigned it. Chevy round now which is great & GMC cut which is still ugly💯
Rounded fenderwell looks like shit, always has. Also you’re talking out of your ass. Sales of the 14-18 model Sierras and Silverados were far higher than sales of the previous gen Sierras and Silverados. In fact the 14-18 trucks were some of their best selling of all time.
Too bad the AT4X is just a waste of money now that you cannot get it with a 6.2 L. I just canceled my order yesterday because I was notified that I was no longer able to order it with the 6.2 L. GM is turning into a crock of shit

Wtf!!! More of the same from gmc, get rid of that female ceo Mary Barra!!!! Put a guy in the ceo spot at gm so we can compete with Ford again, these are NOT trucks, go back to mid 80s to early 90s gmc was the best then. Until she goes gm will always be an embarrassing truck.
