First run-on Thursday 14th July 1955, the Southern 100 Road Races in the Isle of Man were described by certain media of the day as ambitious for a first ever meeting and attracted seventy-three entries. The Southern now attracts over 300 entries each year.
Today it is one of the most popular events on the road-racing calendar and the 2022 races were nothing short of scintillating at the sun-kissed, 4.25 mile Billown circuit and the meeting attracted a host of top names including 2021 Solo Champion Dean Harrison, rising star Davey Todd, irish ace Michael Dunlop and consistent top runner Jamie Coward.
In this clip we take an adrenaline pumping on-board thrill ride with Jamie Coward during the first 600cc Supersport Race as he chased Dean Harrison and Davey Todd.
