Will go down as one of the greatest origin games of the modern era. DCE's kicking kept turning nsw around, pinning them back in their own half. Ben Hunt and Ponga played their best games ever in QLD colors. NSW got choked out in the 2nd 40 by QLD kicking game and relentless line speed in defense.
Watched ireland v all blacks and almost fell asleep.... this game was the best game I've watched in a long time. Fast, end to end, skills, I was on the edge of my seat. Proud kiwi and Queensland supporter. QUEENSLANDER.... rugby league, best game by far.
@M wow that's awesome, to be honest I've never watched a soccer game, where I grew up, we only had rugby union or rugby league and I played and love both games. I have noticed the rise of soccer in our area, we have a local club now and they have a lot of teams.
@@GawrGurasBathTubPizza lol @ sheep lover. Nah I'd say it's pretty even, kiwis supporting both teams. We always look forward to origin, and enjoy all the banter that comes with it. Everyone is pretty passionate about there team even though we are all kiwis.
I watched my first ever game of Rugby League in 1963; Oldham v Rochdale Hornets, and have been a fan of the game ever since. However, I think this is the best game EVER that it has been my privilege to watch. Many thanks for uploading. I think during the winter moths that I will watch this game again!
@@glangsaprick Ironically, I moved to Greece in 2005, and I have lived here since. I catch up on R,L, wherever I can, which, thanks to the development of the internet, is improving year on year. Doubly ironically (if that isn't bad English, I don't know what is), it hasn't escaped my attention that Greece will be competing in their first ever World Cup. It probably goes without saying, that if I was to ask any Greek what they think of their country's involvement in the competition, I would be offered nothing but blank stares!!
I wonder how long this will be allowed to be on RU-vid for, before the old networks request it to be removed due to licensing? I hope never. One could argue that having it on RU-vid will increase advertising/promotion for the sponsors. :)
Wow! This is up there with the 2nd Game in 1989. Not quite but very close. What a great game of Rugby League and this game is going to be so good for the sport. Very well done to both teams. Cheers. Johno
Andrew John's goes on about how Queensland hasn't got the monopoly on passion for the jersey. I know one thing, the blues have the monopoly on self entitlement. They sulk because they are so far up themselves and believe they are just so more skillful.
Thanks for these 2 videos man nrl hasn't released anything yet so this has really made a difference. If I'm the only Qlder sayin this John's made a great call on the game. If it hurts it only mean it ment something.
At 20:20 - Luai throws a crap pass, yet the Queenslander's don't get all up in his face about it. It's called class - the opposite of Luai's pathetic display over Cobbo in the first few minutes. Luai will always be a Robin - he's a nobody without his Batman.
DCE has the best kicking game, Ponga & Grant X factor. Wow Maroons just played their heart and soul out. Really great game. Blues were outplayed. Better team wom.
Oh, NSW were so brave. So brave. Then Gal (the Grub) repeated this theme when interviewing Cleary amongst the crowd's booing about ''how brave''. At least Nathan, who is a champion along with Teddy, made no excuses.
Even though I've never been interested in rugby, I absolutely love SOO, it has to be as good as any sporting competition in the world. Tremendous entertainment!
Wow unbelievable Queenslander Champions of Origin I can watch this over and over 🤣💟🔴💯😎 Benny boy seal it for the sunshine state 🌞 spirit of Queensland 🎉🎉🎉
The penalty at 31.21 minutes is because Talliki played the ball at the wrong angle. The rule has always been this - When you play the ball you must be facing straight ahead and parallel to the sideline. There was no backchat and you can clearly hear the referee explaining his ruling and the reason for it. The commentators were not listening and Ray Warren, Wally Lewis, Peter Sterling, and Paul Vaughtin would have all picked up on this mistake. I can understand the excitement of the game getting the better of the inexperienced commentators and I'm sure that this has been pointed out to them by now. Cheers. Johno
Carrigan is Corey Parker with the offloads..Dearden is the new cooper cronk..Jai Arrow is the new Dallas Johnson..they only need a thurston, a cameron smith and that will be it. DCE needs to be replaced by Sam Walker
What a game. Crucial errors by NSW coming out of pressure field position, qld took their opportunities and there we have it. Dane Gagai getting the ball back in play off the drop out was HUGE! Huge congrats to both teams but qld too good
Both teams played superbly. It took 21 minutes in the second half for ponga to cross the line. Ill never get tired of this match lol. Its always nice when your team wins, and its nice when your state flogs the other. But no win is greater than those origins when both teams are giving all they have, and the game changes into something no longer physical, but a test of mental strength and will to keep on pushing through until the end (as smith stated). So good.
What a dominant and discipline game Qld played, running up the middle, kicking early and away from the three backs is how you take the running out of teams and tire them , pretty much Rabbitohs 2014 game plan when they dominated the competition especially with Adam Reynolds torpedo text book.
congratulations to all the Queensland players & coaching staff for a awesome series as for nsw 😂🤣😂 too many penrith panda's you heard it here the ponytailed panda grub jaroam lu eye has just played his last origin match 😂🤣😂 f#@king grub
Burton intentionally took out Ponga, so the penalty should have gone to Queensland. Burton, the one kick wonder, got what he deserved. Shame Luai didn't get what he deserved.
@@normanno8514 Let me re-write this - Burton got socked twice by Gagai before Tino stepped in to seperate the pair. Tino grabbing Burton in a headlock probably saved Burton getting more of a hiding 😂
The penalty given at the 65/66 minute mark was given for "not playing the ball Square". You can hear the ref say it. "For angle play the ball". That has always bean a penalty.
Being in that crowd counting down the last 5 seconds of the decider and then losing your shit . Fucking loved every minute of that game. QUEENSLANDER!!!!
