I like the dual analogue gauges with the smaller tft. We stare at screens all day whether it be our phones or work computer/tablets. It's a refreshing change to jump on a modern bike and not stare at a I-Pod screen dash.

I love the analog gauges but I do wish I had a digital readout on the center tft.

It offers the rider more safety technology than the ZX14r, which is important for urban driving. The safety tech is what attracts me to the bike. Without the new gadgets, the zx14r would be superior.

im a fairly new & young rider, but i LOVE analogue tachometers and the feeling they evoke- I haven't ridden anything with a TFT dash (im probably about 10 grand away from ever doing that, lol) but there's something joyful about watching the little arrow spin up as the bike revs that I never got on the bike I owned with a digital dash.

All KTMs, even the affordable ones have a nice TFT 🤓 ninja 400/ zx6r analogue + digital dash are just great in my opinion. They give that same soothing feel as the revs climb up above 7k rpm like pure analogue ones of the yester years used to give 🙈🤍

I always thought the busa made more sense than say a fireblade or s1000rr. They are fast sure but they have loads of torque and don’t need to be pushed flat out all the time. And they are actually quite comfortable for touring big miles.

I have a 2022 Gen 3 Hayabusa and I love it. I recently went on an 1,100 mile ride through the Appalachian mountains on it and found it to be fairly comfortable but I was still fairly sore after a 6-7 hour day. Since then I've added a heli-bar riser and it's helped tremendously with comfort without compromising the sporty feel. To anyone who thinks this bike is an uncontrollable monster you're dead wrong. Actually I find this machine to be very docile in the low rev range (

I’ve owned a Gen1 Busa from new, then a Gen2. They’re stable, fast, and so smooth and reliable. I now have the new Katana and it’s more fun, most of the time, not because of anything bad about the Busa. They’re just too easy to ride too fast and we’ll above any speed limit. The Katana is much lighter and handles better in the twisties at almost half the price and risk of license loss. Still would love to own the Gen3, but that would be an emotional decision not necessarily a sensible one.
@THEREALZENFORCE
@THEREALZENFORCE Год назад
BS : a new Katana is 14200 euros, a new Hayabusa is 18490 euros. For that money the Busa gets you nearly 38PS more, over 30Nm more, lean angle ABS, hill hold assist, 6 axis IMU, wheeli control, launch control, cruise control, speed limiter, TFT and analog screen, better brakes 320mm Stylema, 299 kmh top speed, quickshifter with settings and an engine that has a 150000km warranty/reliability. For only 4290 euros less (far from your half price claimed, but in reality only a quarter cheaper than the busa) the Katana has a bad screen only traction control and a regular quickshifter. So for 4k less you loose so much stuff with the Katana. And Hayabusa will always have more reputation than a Katana, so the resell value of the Busa will remain higher and a Katana will drop into the abyss in value. The Katana is a cool bike (with an awesome retrowave futurism look) but for the same generation and lower price 13100 the new GSX-S1000 is better than the new Katana and for just 2k more the GSX-S1000GT plus is better than both (side cases plus TFT screen with navigation). Price/performance 18k euros a Hayabusa new is a good deal compared to 27k euros better bike Fireblade SP (but 9k more). And for your price argument a gen 1 Hayabusa costs sub 8k used so does a K1300S and K1300R, all 3 better bikes than the Katana new (more comfy, electronic suspension, more torque (and shaft drive for both K's, good for touring). Hopefully for 15k a new updated for 2024 Katana will offer the same level of electronics and brakes of the current Hayabusa, add the TFT of the new Suzuki 8S or keep the analog dials of the first gen Katana and drop 5 to 10 kg of weight, keep the same K5 based engine, add the same 19 liters tank of the GSX-S1000, add the possibility to put the same side cases of the GSX-S1000GT Travel Edition, that would be a Katana i would consider buying.
@THEREALZENFORCE
@THEREALZENFORCE Год назад
Katana is 215kg with not much electronics, S1000R new or used is plus minus 200kg full of electronics (196kg in it's M version), a Super Duke R is plus minus 198kg that 17kg less than the heavier Katana. If weight and handling are your priorities a Duke 890R is 183kg wet. The weight perception also depends on the size (height, weight, strength) of the rider. Ride safe. Peace.
@w.mikati1181
@w.mikati1181 Год назад
@@THEREALZENFORCE I don’t know what country you’re in, but here in Greece, a brand new Katana sells for €13,650 while the new Hayabusa sells for €22,250. My point was that the Hayabusa is not “better at everything” and a lighter more athletic bike can be more fun when the roads get really twisty (that’s where I personally enjoy most of my weekend rides). Again, I was saying that I have already owned the first 2 generation Hayabusas and loved them, but I’d be lying if I said they handled better than a litter sport/street bike. I also still own a gen2 ZX14 which is in the same league as the Hayabusa. Some people enjoy fancy electronics and others don’t care much about them. While ABS and traction control can save you, the extra gimmicks like ride modes, quickshifters, heated whatever are, in my opinion unnecessary. Basically, it depends what you’re looking for in a bike. Let’s be real and not get too carried away with the HIGHEST performance figures and assume that they guarantee a better experience for every riding style. Have you ever approached a tight turn while charging on a 265kg Hayabusa at high speed? Slowing it down is a “task” to say the least. On the open highway, it’s king, but not everyone wants to spend his time on the highway. Highway miles for me are wasted time until the real fun (twisties) are reached. And don’t piss on the Katana. With a fulll system (152rwhp) and some weight reduction mods, a Hayabusa can only dream of catching up with it in the twisties. So the theme is: different tools for different tasks.
@THEREALZENFORCE
@THEREALZENFORCE Год назад
@@w.mikati1181 1) i am from Luxembourg and also neighbouring Germany has the near same price i gave you. 2) my daily bike K1300 is around 250kg with a 10kg backpack and i weigh 112kg (that's more than 372kg of total weight) and i currently (hopefully it stays that way) have no problems in turns at any low medium or higher speed (you should try countersteering even works with near 400kg Harley Davidson bikes or 290kg Rocket 3 of my friends. 3) watch Schaaf Channel Hayabusa video Works perfectly fine 4)watch : 2014 DUNLOP MotoGymkhana Round4 [NO] H2 GSX1300R fast weight shifts and tight turns 5) let me guess for years you have a Gen2 Busa and ZX14R and the only time you really push the throttle is in a straight line, do police fast U-turn courses with pushing (countersteering) instead of thinking that your bodyweight works better than pushing for side to side changes. Also do the course with the 30kmh and 50kmh slalom between tight cones, might help you too for weight transfer.

Still a 9sec stock bike in the 1/4 if that's what you're into. All the so-called hyper-bikes hover around the same performance area. I chose the gen3 busa over a 1liter bike because it's not stressing as much if I decide to push it. All motor with no forced induction. Chose it over the Zx14r because of cruise control. I'm not to thrilled about engine case design on Zx14r. Being the owner of a Kz1000 (1135kit)back in the day the design looks weird to me. The bike is a monster if you're pushing it around in the garage. All of that goes away when you ride it. Extremely agile and any legal speed limit feels slow for some reason.

Interesting. I've had three 'Busa's. A Gen 1 '06 second hand , a new 09 Gen 2 followed by my current Gen 2 bought new as well in 2011 which I still own. I had some money back then . Those were the days Traded my '09 in on the '11 simply because I liked the new 'Busa in black with the red highlights . Had my money ready to buy the new Gen 3 'Busa but, it doesn't offer what I was hoping for. Instead of a beefier power plant aligned with the ZX14 with more capacity and power we have we have less of that and more digital frippery. That leaves me totally cold. Not what I was hoping for. I'll hang on to my Gen 2 for now. Keep my money in the bank. Thanks for the post.

I've was around even before the first generation Hayabusa and I remember the 200 mph talk and while 185 to 190 mph is fast the stock bike wasn't ever a true 200 mph but nothing else was either. I've rode a couple stockish Zx1400Rs with 170 to 200 rwhp while land speed racing and got close but never 200 mph. I've run with many Hayabusas and BMW S1000RRs out there and we were all about the same, some a little faster and some a little slower. Admittedly we were on salt and the density of altitude was terrible so that hurt us. I've never had the opportunity to safely run on pavement wide open for two to three miles at sea level...so maybe around 200 rwhp horsepower gets 200 mph. In any case riding these bikes on the street is like watering your yard with a fire hose it can be done but it will be scary.

Since 2000s, the speed is limited to around 300 kph & the Superbikes nowadays makes more horsepower with also smaller size & easier to handle. Except manufacturers go with the forced induction like the H2/R Edit: as for touring purposes, it's more worth to buy a litre sport-touring bike rather than having this enormous size to go for distances

Each and every superbike is a hype 😂😂😂. It's just an emotional bs vehicle that's bought by super rich people to show off to the people below them. Nothing else. Other than going the unnecessary 350kmph, There's nothing your regular 150-200 cc vehicle can not do and that also with supremely superior mileage.

With all due respect to you and Suzuki, this bike is a disappointment, why you ask? I will tell you: Put this next to the gen 2 and most people will tell you it can pass off as a face-lift not an all new model The weight is ridiculous and unacceptable for a high performance machine fit for the Hayabusa name You can't put out a press release saying we had all these amazing engine options to put in the new bike and then say yea we decided to put the same engine in and yea we couldn't even push it harder than the old one so now you have a heavier bike and less power. This bike is like the supra of bikes, all hype no go, and this is exactly why Japanese manufacturers struggle to sell them because they bank on the hype and forget that we now live in a self marketing industry, if your product doesn't have the numbers behind it it won't sell no matter how good a hype you have. The Honda NSX, the Supra and the Hayabusa are prime examples. Why doesn't Ducati suffer from this? Because they develop the living shit out of their bikes because they have to keep their bikes at the cutting edge of performance because when someone is gonna spend this much money on anything, you don't wanna say to your buddies yes I have the new busa which a 2012 panigale could smoke you wanna say I have the best of the best and thats what the Japanese don't get Reliability ain't enough anymore because the euro manufacturers are just as reliable if not even more as I have read some people complaining the busa engine blowing up for random reasons and people are upset. Now sure yes its a great bike in isolation and has more than enough performance for anyone, but why do you think people are so excited about the TTS supercharged superbusa? Because that was what people had hoped Suzuki would do, a bike that could put the Ninja H2 on notice in the hyperbike world. Honestly if the Japanese don't change their mindset they will be asleep at the wheel of the motorcycle industry

The Hayabusa is at least $10k less than either a Ducati or H2. If you’re building a dragster, then a Hayabusa is a great platform to start with. FJB 🖕🇨🇳

You’ve got no idea. Shave 25kg with an aftermarket exhaust because they’ve gotta meet emissions laws. Yeah, it’s wider. It’s a sports tourer. With a better front screen & risers these are meant to be more comfortable on the highway. I’ve never heard of them blowing up. There’s no engine failure issue. Mmmm wrong. The superbusa sucks. The yanks have been turbo’ing them for years and it’s a far superior setup if you’re looking to drag race. I’d expect this to be the most comfortable bike over 240km/h

all this ultra-speed bike stuff complete meaningless, very few will ever go top-speed on these things and if you do you cant tell the diff between 130 and 180. its all freeking fast. All modern bikes are fast and amazing, none of them are that much better than the other.

@My.name.goes.here. Год назад
Maybe YOU can’t tell the difference between 130 and 180 but there’s a pretty big difference. I used to cruise at like 130 mph but topped out at 172 mph. I’ll agree sort of, to someone that barely ever goes over the speed limit 130 might be face melting but to us that like to go fast frequently 130 doesn’t even stir any emotion.

@@My.name.goes.here. right thats why i said "few" will ever do it, racers yes, guys in areas with big open smooth stretches, yes, but thats a small population. I am just saying that 130 will get you there plenty fast...adding 50mph to it is a lot but you are already going ballistically fast.
