Thank you for the classic-era Playmates size comparison - that is ALL I needed to know! I have no hesitation to buy these, other than the Turtles themselves now.
Finally seeing the scale comparisons, I'm actually impressed with these. I wish all major figure lines were this small. I'm having a major space problem.
This figure line popped up out of nowhere all over Australia, with alot of characters youd be hard to find a figure of any day, amazing value, sure detail can use work, but the price for the characters, articulation and accessories, crazy line
I’ve never found any of these in the store, it’s always the same ones from like a couple of years ago, unless somebody is coming in buying them which is definitely possible
ToyShiz, I really like the Casey Jones. He would be ideal to get. I did see the one best axn gremlin figure at a local Walmart. I could not pull the trigger on him too many questions on quality and scale. Plus the Neca version seemed superior. I do own the Napoleon dynamite figure. I picked him up from Target clearanced. The opportunity was too hard to ignore. I appreciate the review of the trio. If I see the Casey I will pick him up.👍

I never really got into tmnt but im starting to get back into them but ran out of money on the vintage line. I really hope they make a leather head figure to replace my vintage and 2012 one. Looking forward to these!
Really wanted to get this casey cause I dig the look with my bst turtles and neca metal head which feels like a good sizing and everything but seeing he's to small is a bit of a bummer
As much as I liked how this Shredder figure looks, he was too small to fit in any collection i have and the turtles in this line are way too big, so I passed. Now that I have the Fury Toys Samurai Spring Leonardo that is just over 4 inches tall though... Might be getting this shredder, and their Rocksteady, Bebop, and Krang too. A little custom paint work for realism and those might look great with the Fury Toys figures.
what about durability quality? I wanted a shredder that looks good and is reasonably priced so yeah and you kind of sold me on casey jones as he hes everything I want (03 head I wanted anyway so best of both worlds for me) and I do have the playmates ones so..........
The problem with Shredder's shin guards looks like a perspective issue; the blades are way off-center and look like they're missing a set (it should probably be 2-3-2 instead of empty-2-3). The worst part is that this *_IS_* animation accurate, and at 17:57-17:59, you can see that even NECA's 87 Shredder does that as well (the Turtles in Time version seems to retool the shin guards to correct that). Other media forms of this design seem to have corrected the issue, and it's sad that this couldn't be the case here. I wouldn't be surprised if some intrepid customizer painted this up to look like the original 87 toy (shirtless, violet helmet & blades) by now. The Foot Soldiers...wow. Between the single release standard purple and the Arcade Edition four-pack (blue, white, orange, pink), they're sorely lacking in weapons. Where's the daggers? The dynamite sticks?
I will never understand how all these lackluster toy lines keep getting to do tmnt figures or why said lines don't try to go all out when they make tmnt figures
I bought shredder and after 2 minutes I knew that this line is not for me. I can’t stand the squishy rubbery plastic they used. The articulation stinks, and the pins in the elbows look terrible. I’ll be switching to the super 7 figures . Just my 2 cents
Dude, you're so off base with the NECA comparison. The NECA is inaccurate to the cartoon compared to this figure. The things wrong with the NECA: the wrist wraps (didn't have them in the cartoon), the shoulder armour (should have 4 spikes and be round). All the armour on the NECA is recycled from the Mirage figure. None of it is correct. The BST AXN has the correct look, it's just small. Do some research, man. You look foolish.

@@ToyShiz Sir, I meant what I said in the nicest way. But I did watch the video. You say at 17:16 it (the BST AXN) is more of its own thing a mix of this and a bit of that. Even saying it reminded you of the stern pinball figure. But 3 seconds before that you say the NECA looks like it walked right off of the cartoon. I understand what you mean if you're talking about the colour palettes. But sculpt? The armour is 100% on the BST AXN. You can't deny that.
@@NightwingReturns Hmm, yeah, just watched a clip on RU-vid from the original cartoon and you're right about the design of the BST Shredder, it's exactly the same! Like you said; no attack on the creator just nerds amongst themselves making observations. 🤓
I would not say "garbage" my Son has 3/4 Turtles (so far 😉) they're not Marvel Legends quality (like the articulation wish to be) but they're not $50-ish each like NECA. compared to MOTU Origins (±$) the joints tend to be floppy. what I really like about the design of the turtles is the diaphragm cut despite having a shell! one of them had the shell pop off during a head-swap, and it was a pain in the butt to get back on, but nothing broke so that's a win I guess I'm looking forward to getting all 3 of these figures and Donatello. hopefully April O'Neil and Splinter will be coming out soon. after those who knows if I'll get him any more 😁😄
