Damnn the shots fired at Bobby in the beginning about the discussion videos and paywall 😂😅 my Aussie went at the top of my very worst list because of him being floppy all over and being so limited 😅 is very pretty and accurate though
My figure of the year is either MMC D-Zef (Deathsaurus) or XTB's Commander Stack (Ultra Magnus). I collect both IDW and G1, and those two just stood out above other figures.
I am an OLD-school collector from the 80’s but I quit for decades. My chilhood friend got me back into TF’s only two years ago so I only have been collecting the main line WFC, Netflix, and now Legacy so far. These expensive MP’s are a hard sell to my family so I have to be VERY selective of which ones I MAY start collecting. BUT Commander Stack looks fantastic, and I appreciate their naming homage to the late, great Robert Stack. A very classy man. Thanks for the video, great channel! I’ve been following you for a couple of years now. 🤓
I also have the Deformation Skywarp & Thundercracker, great value for money! Also have the X-Transbots Jansen/Perceptor & that is one very solid figure, which has some heft (it’s got some die cast, that’s for sure) & think it’s worth the money. Hoping 2023 sees more Decepticon figures - there’s just too many Autobots this year, in my opinion.
BLITZWAY VOLTRON is so damn good.. I have 2 I got at full retail and I don't regret anything.. okay maybe the 120 tuna sandwiches made/ate to afford it.. but that's it!
I'm stoked that Xtransbots Perceptor and Springer came out as good as they are. Especially after the waiting game for Springer. The only issue I have is paint chips on the shoulders. Thanks for letting us know about the replacement pieces, I'll be contacting ShowZ for more information. Great video! You're always a great source of 3rd party updates and info.
Would you prefer he throw shade at KO companies and buyers, while continuously turning around to sell artwork, blankets and other items of specific characters they don't own (without giving a cut to those that do "own" those characters)? 🤔 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@michaelpolston5240 yeah, I chuckled too. My point is that shade is thrown by many parties, whether it's under the umbrella of humor or critique, or both.
I barely decided to get Dracula on his 1st release and I remember I was amazed by how good the paint looked at the time. Though I’m still putting figures in storage and never put chomp next to him to compare.
Great list! I agree with the #1 Blitzway Voltron all the way. I am fortunate enough to have him as well and outside of the figure itself, the packaging has to be some of the best for any figure I have ever seen. This is really some top-tier stuff. I know it is not a "Masterpiece" figure per se, but I am really impressed with the Haslab Victory Saber. That is an amazing set and I am definitely looking forward to Deathsaurus.
Looking forward to the blitzwing you spoke about recently, in 2023! I was one of the lucky ones that held out on Deformation Space blaster, thundercracker and skywarp, and got them for really good prices. You are right about the included ramhorn being less than stellar. I’m excited for the autobot cassettes by fantoys in 2023 as well. Cliffjumper too.
Great job on getting the seekers for cheaper! Yes the cassettes look great and way better painted than MMC Which I am also excite for as they release soon
14:54 ahhh, so you picked up another blitzway from EE during their holiday sale too? I'm glad I got it for their $490 mark instead of the original $750 price.
@@TransformsIntoAGuitar The fact that it's an XTB figure (which has had a spotty reputation though they have clearly improved greatly this year, but I digress) and it sold out should speak volumes of how incredible that figure it is.
@@tydiriumhanger1320 well showzstore already told us about the alternative models. But this is the second time (to my knowledge) you have called out your fellow reviewer/content creator. I get it... but it's bad form. At least you made it less apparent. You doing your thing is why I subscribe. Someone else doing another thing doesn't affect you and it's a business decision. You may actually get more subscribers post.
My top figure that I got in 2022 is a tough call...gonna have to give the nod to Jinbao's Devastator...and put the MP49 KO (that retooled flat backpack MP44 KO mold) in second place. As for a Voltron...ehh...I think I'll just hunt down the Soul of Chogokin! 😆🤣
I'm ok with FansToys getting KOed. Their figures are already too much. Yeah, they usually put out the best figures, but for what they cost you would expect them to be and for their later releases of characters that are already out, they should be doing a better figure. I have passed on all their releases this year as I felt they aren't significant improvements over what has already been released. I'm definitely considering their Cliffjumper and Powerglide but I will wait for the reviews.
You usually very what you pay for and Fans Toys are that high for a reason. I pick and choose which figures I get and I usually only get G1 inspired figures as I'm really not interested in any other. Probably the reason I love Fans Toys. However, I do like some of the Michael Bay Transformers so I get those as well. Most of my collection are Masterpiece figures so they tend to be very expensive and I just pre-ordered the entire Gigapower Dinobots as I missed out on the metallic version.
have every single right and pretty much the same ranking as you except for number one haha I will give that to magnus. He jumps out of the screen for me. XTB killed it. I didn't have any QC issues with him and much like you I didn't buy these to have alt modes so I don't care about magnus alt mode. i have the original stack and he can stay in the alt mode. Thought the voltron thing was an april fools then realize it's december. anyways great video
I'm mostly out of masterpiece nowadays, but I went in on the MMC D-Zef Death Turkey because I thought it would go well with my Skylynx. And the figure is great, exactly what I hope and want from each MMC release. They definately put some extra effort and love into that figure and it shows. For legends, it is really hard to say. But it is definitely going to a NewAge release lol. JetFire? Cyclonus? Grimlock? Prime? Hard to say, they were all so well done. Great video. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Not that i collect so personally im not bothered either way but i genuinley think Fortress Maximus is just too big of a step (no pun intended) due to storage space, cost and complexity of transformation....
Only a matter of time before we get a Voltron with removable lion legs & clean panels that peg in for robot mode! Blitzway is close to being perfect but the legs are still there & the thing that bugs me about the Blitzway is the the blue screen or dot in the middle of the black lion head! Who thought that was a good idea? Nowhere in 35+ years of being a Voltron fan have I seen an image with Voltron or the black lion having this!
@@patientmental875 when the lions are being tossed around and Keith attempts again. He yells jump. Both when lion is up and even more clearly when it zooms into the lion face is when you see the blue square. That zoom in on the lion face is similar to the collector DVD sets which have variant colors for that forehead square, some green, some red... not sure which versions I have as a lot of my DVDs are stored in the basement.
@@patientmental875 just did a search and the "retro bites" channel has that episode. Keith actually yells, _"let's jump"_ and the zoom in on the face is at the 16:06 mark. Not sure if pasting the link to the vid will work from my phone, but here it is an attempt: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XGyN_kh_frM.html
Voltron transforms and many do not recognize Transformers that do not transform as actual Transformers. That is why I included in the thumbnail as I have never put a #1 in there on past lists
nothing that you can do about it?? how about not buying it?? they have a clame ?? no o they dont . it you want to buy a KO be my guest but these excuses dont hold up
