Same here, I'm hoping for the 2023 pro, been saving my money, my last truck before I die, 66 years old, so I want to enjoy the last few years before the cocaine kills me.

Tacoma pro is an expensive truck, but your looking at quality, remember all vehicle prices increase yearly, if I had a decent down payment I would purchase one, but unfortunately I am a poor man, disabled veteran but when I see a Tacoma pro I just dream.

Not only does it look great, it will never ever give you trouble. This thing is made of granite. No rattles, no squeaks, absolutely zero reliability issues. Issues: transmission hunts on hills looks for lower gears. Other zero others.

good thing they still have a manual transmission that solves all that problem
@samochoa6733
@samochoa6733 Год назад
The Ranger have a 10 speed transmission. Colorado has an 8 speed. Frontier has 9 speed tans. Tacomas have a 6 speed trany. The only transmission that'll make the tacoma better would be the 5 speed trans from the 4runner.

You really can not even find any Tacoma 4x4 on dealer lots and be prepared to pay market adjustment for any TRD trim. Still, you drive 2-3 years and then you can sell it for same price as you bought it for. Amazing.

I bought a 2021 TRD off rd double cab 4x4 in a automatic with LED headlights and tech pkg and lifted the front 1.5 inch with fox 2.5 inch reservoirs , the rear got a 1 inch lift & also with fox reservoirs, purchased TRD pro Tacoma wheels and wrapped them with Toyo AT3’s 265/75R16 , I absolutely LOVE this truck now with almost 30,000 miles on the ODO I like it today more than I did when I drove it off the the lot with 3 miles on it , 30,000 miles down 270,000 miles to to go ! I wouldn’t trade it for any other truck out there …..

My taco normally get 23-24 on the highway. If I’m nice to it I can easily get 18-20mpg around town. The thing is def a turd in the power department lol V6 trd sport 2022

Thanks!! Forget the 8-10 speeds. Total waste.more gimmicks to increase mpg. the toyota 6 speed is bulletproof and super reliable.

You forgot to mention with the trdpro manual you get the Atrac, which is better then the gimmicky crawl control on the automatic.

Actually Porsches are very reliable… they’re not Toyota level reliable, but they are reliable nonetheless.

I just traded in my '20 Tacoma TRD Off Road. The "Porsche of the truck world"? C'mon man. My biggest beefs with the Taco? The seating position is horrible and uncomfortable (you're basically sitting on the floor), terrible handling, too-touchy brakes, and you cant upgrade to and even slightly larger wheel/tire combo without rubbing everywhere. The Tacoma may "last forever", but I sure as heck wouldnt want to drive it forever.

11:30 The TRD Hoodscoop does have a function - to increase aerodynamic drag and to block the driver's vision

You put that TRD Pro in crawl control, 4 low, any setting you want and I'll lock the front and rear axles on my ZR2 Bison diesel and we hook em up and drag, how about it?

I never thought someone would compare a Taco to a Porsche. That’s a huge stretch especially in comparison to a GT3. 😵‍💫

Porsche....you do know that the current tacoma is one of the sloooooowwest vehicles on the road.

The 2016 Tacoma fell from Excellent reliability to the toilet. By the time the 2019 came along the reliability came up to just above average in reliability. The 2015 and older were bullet proof. The 2023 the Tacoma is changing body style and loosing the V6 and going with a 4cyl turbo, which won’t last as long as any naturally aspirated engine.
@crusherman96
@crusherman96 2 года назад
The first couple of model years will always have issues with anything. Since 2018 these trucks have been solid and the drivetrains have never had issues. You're right as far as turbos and reliability go, but you can get 200k out of a turbo which is more than most people will drive a vehicle.
@Doc1855

@@crusherman96 We normally drive our vehicles until they only have about 25-30K left in them. When they start using a quart or more of oil between oil changes, it’s time to replace them
@crusherman96
@crusherman96 2 года назад
@@Doc1855 that depends on the maintenance. An engine can start drinking oil as early as 150k miles or easily go twice that without ever having issues. The manual says to do an oil change every 10k miles but in reality you should do it every 5k miles. That will help prevent an engine from drinking oil. Edit: a car's EOL is technically considered when the cost of maintenance/repairs exceeds the value of the vehicle. With these trucks they hold their value like crazy and even if you need a new engine, which generally you won't even if it's drinking oil, the value of the vehicle itself will exceed the cost of repairs.
@Doc1855
@Doc1855 2 года назад
@@crusherman96 We use Mobile 1 full synthetic oil and change it every 4K miles. We also change the transmission fluid every 30K miles and on our pickup we change not only the transmission fluid but also the front and rear differential every 30K miles. I guess that’s why we get 300K plus miles from our vehicles
