I have the Crewmax SR5 TRD OF 4x4 in army green with the 6.5 bed and love it but not going into the city with it because good luck finding a parking spot for it. It's really long.
Brian, I will be green with envy when they make a Tundra Hybrid with an 8 foot bed and Off-Road package. I will order mine in dark blue not 'Army Green'. 😉 In regard to the missing corner step on the bumper, I know this is a GM specialty but why don't all the others pickup truck makers copy what is such an obviously practical idea?
Hey Brian, thanks for sharing! I am about to order the same However have doubts after watching videos and reading reviews with wastegate issues and other mech and tech issues with Toyota Tundra 2022. Wanted to know if you've encountered any so far
2 weeks ago I bought a 2024 sr5 trd off road with the convenience package, heated seats, all the sensors, collision avoidance and more stuff for 65k walk out. It was heart breaking to see how expensive trucks got. Its terrible. Vehicles are not am investment. Its like a bill and neccesity. Vehicles arr so expensive now.
I own a 2021 Tundra double cab and I test drove the 2022 Tundra double cab this week. The rear seat is smaller than the 2021. It's no good for anyone over 5" tall. The 2022 felt so cheap. Tundra is the economy truck now in the Canadian market.
Not true and you know it. I’ve owned the last gen tundra and loved that truck however my 2022 is a much better machine on many levels. It is true the double cab is useless however the crew max is spacious enough for all our needs. Fuel economy is much better except when we are towing our trailer which is to be expected. This is a really fun truck to drive and the turbos make a huge difference for passing on the highway. Keep your 2021 and I’m sure it will serve you well, however your opinion after one test drive is just an opinion. This truck is my daily driver and it has been a solid improvement over the last gen Tundra.
@88ofnothing ordered a 2022 in July and still haven't gotten it. But I'm glad to here someone that's had the previous gen say good things about the 22. I liked the previous gen but could never justify getting one do to the indifference in fuel economy vs its domestic counterparts. Which is why I pulled the trigger on the 22. And on the bright side by the time I get it all the recalls will already be dealt with. The downside is when it comes time to sell or trade in it will already be 1 year older than it should.
SR5 is an excellent entry into Toyota trucks, when you don't need an extra capability of upper level trims even if TRD Pro is very cool. This trim is likely is have shorter waiting list because its not the coolest truck that most people wanted, not needed.
The SR5 is honestly the only truck you need. Most people modify their trucks anyways. That 10k youll pay for a limited you can lift an sr5. Add wheels, upgrade the audio and maybe mew some performance mods. Most people beat up on these trucks anyways.
