I do not know how I got to your videos but I am loving them. I am in the market for a compact SUV and you have talked about all the ones that I am looking for! Great work my friend
Every dealer I've worked with changes the MSRP at the dealer level. The websites and internet will say one thing, and then when you go to actually look at it it's $6000 more. And then the destination charge on top of that...
Thank you @DriveToRun for the detailed options breakdown! We are planning to upgrade our 2014 RAV4 LE (Gas) model to a hybrid or hybrid plug-in (if we can find one...). Been debating between Toyota RAV4, Venza and the Tucson. All are great vehicles!
Absolutely! The interesting thing I noticed when doing the Tucson and RAV4 videos...the Tucson becomes a better and better value in comparison to the RAV4 the higher in the trim levels you go. The base models are close in price and equipped similarly, but the Tucson undercuts the RAV4 on price in the higher trims, and comes with a better warranty. Either one (or the Venza) I'm sure will be great!
Interesting...you are correct that the IIHS rates the Limited headlights as being better than the other trims because they're supposedly LED projector vs. LED reflector in the other trims; however, in none of my go-to materials from Hyundai do they call out this difference. Good catch!
I like your analysis so much but real world scenario is that dealers don't stock base blue trim. their cars come with all sorts of add-ons for them to make more profits. Is there anyway we could factory order the base trim? Last time a Toyota dealership told me they don't do factory order
The biggest thing I can recommend is expand your search, potentially to neighboring (and further) states. Obviously, you'll need to be cognizant of the implications around sales taxes, but it can be worth it and you can make a mini-vacation/roadtrip out of the experience.
I was trying to figure out if there was a way to get a sunroof with the SEL trim. Thank you for explaining this to me as the Hyundai website is kinda obscure about this, as are any of their dealerships, at least in my area. Do you know if the sunroof that comes with the SEL convenience package is the same as the one on the Limited trim?
Is there any additional benefit in terms of sound insulation or suspension performance (comfortwise), for Limited trim plug-in hybrids compared to plugin hybrid SEL?
Thanks! Honestly, it'll probably be a bit before I get to it. This is a (very) side gig, and I've got a few other requests before yours, but I'll certainly add it to the list!
