Got mine 6 months ago, didn't want to commit to full electric. The acceleration is insane. Mine has the integrate booster seat that gets a lot of use. Getting 52mpg overall, filling the tank once a month. Safety and fuel economy was my priority as this was meant to be the family car. Awd, sensors everywhere, great ground clearance, good breaking (even better in B mode). Still it has room to improve, manual AC controls, more stable over the air updates etc. ...the irony is that i was looking for a rav4 prime and got an insane price quote in the local dealer...next day i was looking at this beauty , rest is history :) Great video.... forgot to add...you can open and close the tailgate with your foot, i didn't know how handy this was until i tried, nothing new in cars but is nice this one has it, hard to live without it now.
@@MGReviewsBlog believe it or not 60k us dollars...there is virtually no local inventory of hybrid plugins and they sell within a day of arriving. And what little arrives is not from factory but from secondary retailers in the states so the price mark up is insane. Worst, consumers are willing to pay for it.
@Ridcul you hit the nail on the head. Dealers are part of the problem with today's prices and production but also consumers that "must" have them right now so they are willing to pay the obsurd prices.
@@Stu938 belated reply, the answer is no, every other weekend i travel/stay out of town with no electric recharge option. Otherwise i would barely use gas.
I look at PHEVs as the best of both world. Economical around a city but cans till take long road trips without needing to plan ahead for charging. (or dealing with charger lineups or broken chargers)
@dbmscreen where will go at over 180 km/h? Unless you want to get the car impounded. High power like this makes for quick acceleration. All Volvo cars are limited to this speed in Volvo's pursuit of safety. They made this change not too long ago, maybe a couple years.
Yeah thats why I said better if it is just 200hp and might be more fuel efficient if it is only 200 not 400. Other colvo cars like xc90 can go 200+ kph. All reviewers always says combined power electric and petrol that I dont understand. The torque I understand

I understand what you're saying about the lower power but some still want that quick acceleration from a stop to highway speeds. Only more power can achieve that thrill of "being on a Rollercoaster". Either way, with this much power of the XC60 T8, I still found it very fuel efficient thanks to the long EV range.
