We install a set of OES frame slider on a 2022 Kawasaki Z650, then put it up on stands and lubricate the chain. I don't recommend red loctite I recommend using blue or orange are you saying the spools are plastic ? when they should be aluminum as they do not melt as I just got a Z650 last week and love it a big upgrade from a Ninja 250.

You bring up a good point Anthony and I agree, I used a red bottle but it is not high strength. The product I used is Loctite 222MS and is a MilSpec low strength. I almost mentioned that but didn't want to go into to much detail, and my OES sliders were aluminum core w/ plastic bodies and the instructions said not to put one behind the exhaust, I have since installed exhaust and have them both on full time. Loktite is a great idea on everything on a bike.....you might remember the little Chinese bike that almost lost a motor mount after you rode it lol. Many moons ago....

Oh I remember that head job, and yes after that test drive I think magic was holding that bike together more than fasteners, loctite FTW. Good to see you keeping up on my antics Pascal, have a good one.

I'm about to do this on my 2023 Ninja 650. Really worried with all the comments on the engine drooping even when doing one at a time. I'm using the Womet sliders from TST industries. Their video shows to start with the left side first and torque to 29.5 foot pounds, then do the same to the right side. U made it look so easy, but you've got the naked bike. Would u recommend that I put my bike on the rear stand first and use a piece of wood on a jack to brace the engine before doing the slider install? I've read that people do that a lot, I just don't know where I would place it under the engine as with the muffler and fairings, there is no room.

I wouldn't think it would be needed to brace the engine if you only do one side at a time, leave the other side tight while working.
