Fun times on the Main Salmon River. The water was at 3.2' on the ramp at Corn Creek, which is about 10,700 cfs. This is a long video with lots of clips of the kids playing as well as the rapids. If you just want to see the rapids, watch my shorter video.

What a great trip and big water. Good for you for getting the kids out there to experience that- I think its super important. That standing wave at Black creek rapid was a kicker. I ran the right line my first time down but the left line was very clean and straightforward when I ran it the second time despite looking more difficult. The hot spring is one of my favorites. Ran it with my girlfriend (now wife) in 2017 with just us in a 14' boat.

What dry or wetsuits are the kids wearing? We have a July 1 launch. Thank you.

I don't know what the kids had, but I have always had good luck with NRS gear. I have never used a dry suit. A wet suit and/or paddle pants and jackets is usually sufficient.

Thought so. I rafted down the middle fork of the salmon river a couple of yrs ago. It was traumatic & beautiful at the same time. I almost drowned. Took awhile to even watch videos of the river. Yours was the 1st but only a few mins. Thank u for the video!

@@beckiingawanup8130 The Middle Fork is a lot more challenging than the Main. My wife and I have always liked the Main because it has fun rapids that aren't too sketchy. Last time I rafted the Middle Fork I fell out at the top of Sulpher Slide and swam for about 1/2 mile tumbling over rocks in the shallow water. It was not fun. I was covered in huge bruises by the time I got rescued.

Pistol creek falls for me. The raft hit the big house size rock at the bottom of the falls & we flipped. I was the only one who tumbled all the way down until flat water. You truly do see your life flash before your eyes. I wasn't injured enough to be air lifted out. I wanted to go home so bad.
