Having the notes page where it is works well if you don’t need the Saturday/Sunday pages (like using it for work) so you can yank them out or repurpose them without messing with the other pages of your week.
Love the Ettavee design. Thanks for your honest opinion…always. I do wish they made a vertical A5 with Mon-Sun going down the entire page, not how their vertical mini weekly is now.
I love all the color schemes this year, really gorgeous! I do hope canvas does well and comes back and comes in more options! I am keeping everything crossed that the family organizer comes in canvas theme when that comes out! That planner has so much color throughout it, so I would love a true neutral option for it!
Finally a neutral blank planner that came back. This needs to be the option every year. JUST like this. However I am a little meh about the stickers in the canvas. I think they did take the stickers from the kaleidoscope neutral as this looks exactly like those.
By far and away….my most FAVORITE release that not only they have done…but I love it so much that it trumps any planner release from ANY planner company for me….I really love it that much. And I’m really impressed with how the company has reformed over the last few years and it really does feel genuine to me. Planner peace for me 1000%. Thanks for your thoughts
I agree with you about Canvas- I am surprised for those who might want to take the Daily Duo to work that they didn't consider the smaller A5 neutral canvas for professional purposes. Some people prefer neutral, particularly for work. Also, I don't care for the asterick in between the month and year on the calendar overview pages in the front of the planner. It seems and looks odd to me. Thanks for your videos- very helpful!
I completely agree with your thoughts on the daily duo planner! I am loving the wildflower collection and also canvas, just wished in came in more layouts!
Could not agree more with your preferences on the daily duo! I really wish the to do list went all the way down to the bottom of the page. I am disappointed that canvas isn’t an option in the a5 daily duo so I’ll probably be going with the 7x9 daily duo this year so I can have the canvas color! (Now I just need an a5 monthly option)
I am so excited about the Canvas design. I followed your advice last year and mentioned my desire for a grayscale planner. It didn't matter what the survey was about - I put my desire in the comments. I'm thinking about getting the 18-month planner and switching to it this year.
Curious question, what do you do with all the planners you get sent to you but don't use? Would love to see some giveaways on your channel. Because I love a horizontal planner! Oh and I use the contact page a little different. I use it for Buying people presents. I list all the people I buy for then I either list their size or favorite color. Or sometimes if I see something I know they'd like I write that there so when I need ideas for them I have it.
Loving the Ettavee collection! Will definitely be getting that design for the Daily Duo. Curious about your use of notes - what do you use the notes pages for? I hardly use mine because I don’t like scribbling random notes on those pages. Loved this video!
Great and thorough review as always! Also, I have the old daily duo in front of me and it does still have that colored line at the top! No need to pull out all your old ones 😊
Yeah I’m just not getting why they made the same choice as they did with just my type when people were so vocal about wanting an A5 daily duo in neutral. Sigh….. maybe next year.
I was soooo excited to see the Canvas-and then crushed to find out they aren’t making it in the A5 DD-I just don’t understand-they are making it for rings. As Julie says-make it make sense!
Thank you so much for sharing. I’m really upset that they didn’t send anyone an hourly layout in Canvas, as this will be my first time ordering hourly, so I really wanted to see a flip through of that. Thank you so much for your review, and I can’t wait to see the accessories video. New subscriber here. ❤
I was honestly shocked by the choices and as an hourly user, I would have preferred to review something I would actually use. But I get that they are trying new things and maybe only offering certain options was more efficient for them.
I’m so excited for this Inspire design it is so gorgeous and really love that each month has the “ec color way” but also some complimentary colors. Did anyone get an hourly to review?? I am dying to see more of that new layout
🌟✨ Julie, your review of the new Plum Paper daily planner is so helpful and informative! Your insights about the different designs and layouts are on point. I'm loving the Canvas design - that neutral color scheme is a game-changer. And your excitement about the Inspire design is contagious - it's truly gorgeous! Can't wait to see your launch day haul. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us! 📔🎉 #PlumPaperLove #NewPlannerJourney
As an avid Daily Duo user, I agree that the right side of the page could use a tweak to improve functionality. I saw Hannah mention some suggestions which were great. I would love to see dot grid at the bottom; however, the calendar on every other day would throw off the symmetry and that would explode my Virgo brain.
I really love the canvas design! I’m thinking about a horizontal for memory planning/ journaling. Decisions decisions right? Definitely interested to see your launch day haul! ☺️
Totally agree about the miss with Canvas not being available for coiled A5. I really like/prefer the Compact Verticle and was looking forward to getting it in Canvas this year. So disappointing for find that my only choice for my preferred layout is the Inspired and Wildflower designs. I'm thinking that because I don't want to take the chance of them not keeping the Compact Verticle around next year that I'll get it in the Wildflower (it's the monthly pages that I struggle with) but I'll definitely be letting them know of my displeasure. For my work planner, I have no issue as I can get the hourly layout in Canvas. The Inspired line is amazing but it's so much to cover up on the monthly and weekly pages. I will be picking up the Etta Vee covers though as I LOVE them!
I use the daily duo mainly for work so I actually love Sat/Sun being back to back on one page so I can just rip that out to make some extra room on the coil. :) But loving the Inspire collection.
I love the “chunky-ness” of the 18 moth EC A5 planner with the bigger coil!! How does the 18 month size coil compare to the daily duo coil size? Are they equally as chunky? It’s hard to tell from the website and any of the videos I’ve seen. Thanks for the review! 🙏🏻❤️🫶🏻
God i love the Erin Condren life planner. They are so colorful and pretty. I just wish I found one that I would use consistently. Stuck in the hobonichi cousin currently. Erin condrens are just too large for my daily use.
Always appreciate your content! I think I’m just over the spiral bound chunky planners. I’m also so over the bright colors. Neutral planners all the way so you can do what you want.
I love to LOOK at the colors…. I can’t use them for long. It’s like sensory overload, it is gorgeous though! Also the more I use book bound planners, the harder it is to use a coil 🤣
Hi Julie, thanks for your video. Yes it's a shame as I like a more compact planner, however, I think that if enough people were vocal about it, they would bring the option out for the A5 daily duo. What do you think? X
I have so much hatred for that mini calendar. I don’t need it. Ever. I have never ever once ever used a mini calendar. Inspire is beautiful. I went for A5 inserts this current year, but I think I’m going to go with a coiled 7x5 this year.
I am a true fan of the canvas layout - I like my daily/weekly layouts clean and this is perfect. I too am disappointed that they are not offering an A5 size (yet - nudge nudge) but that Inspiire with EttaVee's artwork OMG!!! I'll live with the color splashes throughout my year. Who knows, may be exactly what I need next year! Thanks for your thoughts and time in sharing these products and your opinion. Love your communication style.
As soon as you said "I have thoughts" I knew I was in trouble... lol... I love the canvas design but I agree on the horizontal layout... I need vertical... I've never tried EC but based on your video I may give it a try... :) Thanks for such honest reviews! Side note, I ordered and waiting for the weekly Passion Planner... Will you be using that one at all? Just curious...
I may give that one away! Not that I don’t want to use it- I’m just using quite a few planners right now which is adding to my chaos! But I would still highly recommend it!
I ended up with the Canvas with the multicolor coil and Colorblends cover. Get a little color in it. It is almost too neutral for me. So tired of the EC floral that comes every year. Not everyone likes/loves it or the rose gold, etc. colors.
I really like the neutral Canvas design, but... I have to have the EC colorway tabs. (I've been well-trained by this point.) I might cannibalize an unused Daily Duo's tabs and tape them in somehow. The Inspire design is very pretty but it's not really my style. I really like the grey and silver triangle pattern you have on your current planner. Do you remember the name of the pattern? I hope EC brings that one back when they re-release old designs.
Totally agree about the No Canvas in A5, total bummer. I was going to get the hourly and an A5 in Canvas, but I think now I’m just going to go with the 7x9 hourly and skip the A5 because I’m not loving the monthly dashboards in either Inspire or Wildflowers, I hate that they did the pattern in the background of the entire freaking page. Also, I hate that the design still goes into the coil, even thought EC has received so much feedback on that 😑
I wish they’d keep the lines and remove the numbers. I know very few people who work normal like 9-5 jobs - and even if they did, they don’t necessarily need a planner for work hours.
I love the canvas planner - HATE the stickers. The color palette they chose is so weird. I don’t mind color in the stickers, but the peach totally ruins it for me. I would rather have the inspire stickers with the canvas planner. I also love the calendar on the daily duo…for someone that uses the daily duo, I think it’s necessary to see where you are in the week / month, and it’s easy to cover up if you don’t like it.
A lot of asterisks with the canvas design . They remind me of snowflakes and the grey reminds me of winter . In conclusion it reminds me of a winter storm lol
Hi Julie! Thanks for the detailed review. Would you be open to selling me the perpetual calendar? EC used to sell them separately but stopped, which is a bummer. Thanks!
Also, I think it was on one of your FNL's that Myra replied to my comment about me (Canadian) not being able to get my hands on an Etta Vee cover bc of licensing. Do you know if that's still the case?
The paper quality is so terrible now and has been for years. The customer service is terrible as well, so I switched to Japanese planners several years ago.
