2023 A Silent Prayer and Bells for Peace 

Please join us 78 years after the bombing of Nagasaki. Bring a bell if you have one! From hand bells to church bells and even cow bells, we wil let the bells ring to pray for peace at the moment the atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki 78 years ago, and reaffirm our commitment to world peace.
We will observe the anniversary with Bells for Peace and a silent prayer for the spirits of those who lost their lives to the atomic bombs.
Bells for Peace is the legacy of our Shrine supporter, the late Richard Yutaka Fukuhara. This is a secular ceremony.
If you missed our Irei-sai and peace prayer for Hiroshima on August 5th, please participate in this ceremony.
