@@JerseyStyle7 the suns not the only issue. Im not sold on app stability to fully operate the scooter. Yezzzzzir @Jess A. I AGREE whole heartedly with You, and ALL we can DO is give our HONEST opinion of the RIGHT NOW and when things are not as they APPEAR, then address them HONESTLY then... So many people get so upset over little things that don't even warrant such visceral or venom. I just BUY the Scooters and PRESENT what I bought to other Consumers in an effort to help them AVOID the pitfalls of buying a Scooter and You should see some of the comments I GET as a result. Your comment here is refreshing... Thank You Buddy for not railing and going in... You could've have been like many others WHO won't look at my intent, just their bias RISES as most important... I have purchased 2 Apollo scooters and I have to say that the quality was terrible. They boast about having stringent quality control but trust me when I tell you there is zero quality control with Apollo scooters and I can guarantee you that nobody even looked at these scooters prior to shipping them to me. Having 30 years experience in automotive quality control I am well versed in what’s acceptable and what’s not. I am not here to bash Apollo but rather give my honest professional opinion on my experience on the two scooters that I purchased from Apollo. I can only hope that as Apollo continues to grow that they start making quality a priority when manufacturing their scooters.

@@ctk3873 Did you make these purchases yesterday, two years ago or when they first started? Which Apollo Scooters did you buy? There were some problems with APOLLO quality control when they started and it took them some time to get things turned around but they did turn it around. They have improved their Quality of Build, Customer Service and QC. So it would be nice since you are Publicly BASHING them for poor Quality Control, to elaborate on WHEN your poor EXPERIENCE was... You should also post your Order Number as well (since People use Pseudo Names on Social Media) so that You get adequately taken care of. TODAY... I'm very confident that APOLLO has no problem RIGHTING any WRONG they may have caused You or anyone else. It would serve as a better Public Service Announcement and give APOLLO a chance to look up your Purchases and speak to the incidents you're referencing directly.. @@SCOOTOPIAbyOhManDan I purchased two scooters almost a year ago to date for my kids. Both scooters had many issues and I did email them with pictures and video of the problems. They did send me the parts in order to help rectify the situation and I was to install them. They also gave me some accessories for the inconvenience which I was grateful for. That being said my comments is about my experience regarding the QUALITY of Apollo scooters. If I only purchased one scooter and had a problem with it then I could say well maybe it was just a bad scooter. When I buy two of the exact same scooters and I have problems with both scooters then I would definitely chalk that up as poor quality with Apollo Scooters. Not even six months later my kids noticed a definite difference in battery performance. I checked out both scooters, all the P settings where exactly the same yet one battery was much weaker in power and longevity. I emailed Apollo with regards to this issue and nobody from Apollo returned my email which I found very unprofessional and disappointing. As for your comment of me “BASHING” Apollo is completely untrue as this is my own personal experience and I feel it’s important to share this with others in order for them to make an educated decision as to whether or not they want to purchase an Apollo scooter. After all isn’t that why there is a comment section, so we can share our experience? Yet you want to call it public “BASHING” when someone shares their experience with a company. Maybe you should tell people to only comment if they only have a good experience!

$4000 for the Pro with 60 mile range, 43mph and IP66 rating. $1700 for the City Pro with 38 mile range, 37mph and IP66 resistance. I feel like the extra $2300 isn't worth what that scooter is offering compared to the other choices they have. Am I missing something about this scooter that makes it so expensive compared to their other scooters? I was considering purchasing this scooter as I have the city pro and am interested in a better version of it but I am not sure if the extra $2000 is worth it considering what this scooter offers compared to what I already have.

Hey @Oven Heating... thanks for visiting Scootopia. You make some good points Buddy. I am definitely awaiting the first drop of this Scooter so that I am able to point out the benefits and justification for its valuation. When I saw it at this Show, it was truly promising and had all the technological bells and whistles, the design, industry changing Safety Features. Hopefully I can Verify or deny the verity of these claims. I am hopeful but like any new Scooter or product coming to market... "there's the idea, concept, prototype and then production model" Some make the grade and some do not. Fortunately Apollo's track record of producing Safe, Quality Scooters and high tech advancement gives credence to the possibility of getting a very very good Scooter well worth its valuation. I don't expect them to go backwards. Their Culture have become one of integrity and growth. So let's cross our fingers and hope they continue their path... They announced this Scooter when Segway released their very well made GT Series (their first Performance Scoot) and the Prototype was very promising. We're getting very close to finding out. @@felixmdx drum brakes are drum brakes. I won't say that there useless. They do have their usage in certain scenarios. Of course it doesn't make sense to those of us with knowledge kinetic energy and speed. However, I am still reserving any judgement of anyone's ability to create new technology until I check it out. I'm just not one to bad mouth any person or company's attempt of innovation or improvement until its proven ineffective and I don't think any of us have that advanced foretelling ability to say with certainty what a person or company can create or not create. I am a creator and have created designs that people said were impossible that changed the direction of those industries, so I never say never. Everyone is entitled to there own opinions and I respect your opinion but I don't agree with the notion of writing people or companies off because I am the know all to all (that is not me) Like many companies that have failed throughout history (the same can be said for this industry) but at the same time I've seen the impossible made possible. @@felixmdx Based on what you are saying to remove voids the whole premise of innovation, especially relative to Transportation I guess you have serious issues with the direction of many other forms of transportation following similar metrics towards automating safer and more reliant use. You're entitled to not like whatever you don't like and I respect that Felix but to say you don't like it and expect me to agree with your dislike when you have not even bought nor tried the very thing you rail on is a hard pill to swallow in terms of my alliance in your disagreement. I have spent far over Two Hundred Thousand Dollars on Power Beast Scooters and test them in all sorts of ways. Some I like and some I don't. Some pass and some fail. Some rise to the top and some stay at the bottom and then there are those I never pursue but I don't focus on demeaning or degrading someone because they bought that Scooter that I don't mark high on my list. It may serve them well and not me. When it comes to Safety, Build Quality, Innovation, Performance and Duability those things matter to me and are the central basis to my particular favorites. I won't disrespect you, your choices or your preference... not even your metrics. And why did they name it after another Apollo Pro in which they discontinued but was more powerful than the "Ghost" but less than Phantom....
@mynameisjeff.
@mynameisjeff. 2 года назад
The Apollo Pro was a T10-DDM OEM scooter (Zero 10x, Varla Eagle One, and several others were the exact same OEM scooter). The Ghost is also an OEM scooter made by the same manufacturer and is nearly identical to the T10-DDM model with a few small improvements. Apollo is transitioning into a company that designs and manufactures their own scooters (The Phantom was the their first original scooter). They are keeping the same names, but replacing the OEM's with original designs. I suspect the Ghost as well will eventually be replaced by a new Apollo original design. Car models go through redesigns all the time. This is no different.

Anyone with a tesla model 3 think this will fit in the back seat/trunk area? The ninebot max is a challenge from the back seat (resting parallel to the vehicle) and easy in trunk diagonally without dropping the seats.

Hey @Mecax4... thanks for visiting Scootopia. If you like my Videos, be sure to SUBSCRIBE to my Channel so that you don't miss any of my Power Scooter News, Releases, Updates, Sneak Peaks, Free Gifts, and so much more. The Dualtron Storm is $4490 and the Apollo PRO is $3599 (that's a $900 dollar difference, close to a thousand dollars) The Dualtron Storm is a High Performance Scooter for advanced Riders and not for everybody because of its very aggressive throttling. The Apollo PRO is a Mid Range Performance Scooter that will get you +43mph and the Storm is between 45mph & 57mph. The technology of The Apollo PRO is far more advanced than the DT Storm... so many people confuse Speed and Power (which by the way is not sustainable in our Industry and will soon be phased out for general consumption) with technological advancement and try to compare the two when they aren't comparable apples to apples. The industry will be moving towards what we see in the Segway GT and New Apollo Brands. So get ready my friend. The ONLY place we will be able to legally Ride our Beloved High Power Beast Scooters will be on private Tracks (they won't be allowed on public Roads) this is just a heads up of the direction of our Incommture. I have put my money where my mouth is in the degree of time, skill, and energy placed in meeting with Local and Federal Politicians, Local Law Enforcement and Local Leaders across the Country, and there's much being said and done about the future and direction of our Industry. I think many will agree that I am supremely qualified having bought, ridden and played with more Power Beast Scooters than any other Private Citizen Consumer in the Country and perhaps the world. And my inside knowledge of inner infrastructure has given me even more Industry insight. Now don't get me wrong, I... like any other PEV (mainly eScooter) eNthusiast have a STRONG passion for Power and Speed (that's why I have bought 34 BiG Power Beast Scooters and climbing) and I've backed it all up with my dedication, commitment and investments in the infrastructure, people, and Scooters consistantly for four years now. The comparisons many are making of Scooters in different Classes is not how we compare Scooters. We compare by Class and keep Classes ranked with other Scooters in their perspective Classes in order to be fair in those comparisons. The Apollo PRO (though can hang with most High Power Beast Scooters during Legal Group Road Rides every participating Scooter averaging 25mph to 30mph during those Rides) is not in the same Class as The Dualtron Storm Buddy (not even in the same Price Range). We ALL will be Paying for Technology opposed to the Speed and Power (we all crave and want so bad) in the Future... there's no way around it because of the direction of the Industry. Our Incommture is moving towards a more sustainable model and those Manufacturers who don't catch on will not be in business any further. So you'd better stock up on all the Power Beast Scooters you can... right now because the prices of those niche items will raise significantly in the future and we will all have to pay to Ride them in specific Racing Locations (special Tracks) designed to handle the performance capabilities of those HyperScooters whenever we want to Ride Power and Speed in the future. Stay SAFE out there my friend, and remember to always GearUP whenever, wherever You Ride.

Hey @E-scooter rider... thanks for visiting Scootopia. If you like my Videos, be sure to SUBSCRIBE to my Channel so that you don't miss any of my Power Scooter News, Releases, Updates, Sneak Peaks, Free Gifts, and so much more. You make good points, and I understand your reasoning. They are aware of the Fender issues and those will be fixed before Production Models are delivered. As for the "Hydro Brakes..." You sound like a very smart person... I clearly get your concern. Due to historic occurances and greater opportunity for saturation... Drum brakes are frowned upon. People experience more Brake Fade because there may be less dissipation of heat and thus less stopping power. The purpose of brakes is to convert energy. In this case we're talking kinetic energy (which is motion) converted into heat energy. This is done through the friction between the lining of the Shoe and Drum or Disc lining and The Rotor. Here's the point... the heat produced by a brake system is directly related by the mass of the Scooter and the Rider's speed. The BTU's created must be overcome by dissipation of that heat. Understanding that Kinetic Energy is: "half mass times velocity squared" and that the amount of energy that a brake system must convert is doubled (which means doubling the Scooter's weight and quadrupling the Scooter's Speed) The question to you then becomes, what is the average temperature range under normal Riding conditions to maintain well balanced Scooter Brakes and if balanced... wouldn't the heat created by converting kinetic energy be EVENLY distributed through SAID brakes if the Scooter is generating equal brake torque?

Apollo City Pro, and their removable battery capabilities. With the battery being soldered on the deck this is a no go area for me. Beside Apollo 2023 Pro and previous model they all have similar top speed and great range few minor upgrade on this model isn't worth the high price tag it is asking!

Personally I don't like that the turn signals are on each side of the handle bars. That means that unless you use the cruise control you wont be able to use the throttle at the same time you use the indicators. Also having drum brakes on such a high level scooter is rather pathetic. That aside it seems to be banger.

I don't get your whole cruise control, throttle... while indicators statement at all. The Drum breaks, yeah that is a great statement but we don't really know how the configuration is going actually handle the kinetic energy conversion. We will soon find out though. Apollo may have discovered something about heat dispensation that a lot of us are unaware of. I can't wait to test it out and determine it's viability, success or failure. I respect that very common outlook my Friend. Many of us SHARE that same sentiment with Scooters in general... Most all our ACCIDENTS and injuries on our beloved eScooters are due some careless move or action by the Rider. I SAID MOST... I have fallen many times in the four years that I have been totally committed to eScooters and I can't think of one time that it was because of the Scooter that I was Riding. I do know that some manufacturers build faulty eScooters that end up hurting Riders but this is not one of those examples. Apollo actually built a Scooter here that goes against that premise. I just believe in being honest especially when saying something that might harm someone's reputation... your state implies that "Buying an Apollo Scooter" (not ANY Scooter...) will RESULT in breaking a bone. That is a bias statement but not factual. The truth is that we should consider NOT BUYING ANY Scooter if we want to AVOID the possibility of breaking a bone as a result of Riding. Because most likely it will BE our own negligence that causes us to fall or crash our eScooter, not ANY PARTICULAR Brand.

Hey @@Slamjam88, I respect your opinion. Everyone has a valid opinion but in the interest of fairness, isn't everyone entitled to direct TRUTH? I too have thousands and thousands of eNthusiast friends and I have HEARD stories about ALL the Vendors and Manufacturers out there but I try to reserve any negative public comment and deal with then directly (and everyone, including the Vendors and Manufacturers know I will call them on their MESS, even APOLLO) I prefer diplomacy and respect, now if there's an immediate safety issue and I have done all I can to get the Vendor or Manufacturer to rectify the matter, then they leave me no choice but to give an emergency Safety Announcement.... but I will HAVE direct knowledge, no hearsay and I will make hard attempts to contact them to validate and fix the issue. Sometimes in our rush to judgement we impact our own good names. That's not fun either. I pray you keep a watchful eye in order to help one another avoid crooks and in the same breath... my hope is that you always get first hand knowledge, reach out to the alleged perp and try to fix it before you shout it...
