It’s great to see you back and I’m happy to hear you’re planning more videos. Your desk set up looks amazing. The lighting and color scheme is really inspiring. I hope you cover why you chose a Mac Pro rather than Studio. I’m curious if there’s better performance out of the gate, or if it’s mostly just about expandability.
Glad you're making some more videos. Would be nice with a video on how you use the screens. If I remember correctly from old videos, some usecases were home security, stocks, TV, and information on machines you were managing for other companies (or simular)
I’ve got 4 screens, do you have any issues with the dock positioning as well as with the application opening in the random places across your screens, not where you’ve left them ? Finally do you have any randomly changing wallpaper issues ?
I'm very curious about the two videos you suggested. Sort of a standard thing these days - coding - I can only make use of two to three screens. (One for the IDE, one for the product I'm working on if it's a gui / website, and one for the docs). Having recently had the pleasure to take care of an HPC system, I saw the need for more monitors a lot more. Having shells open on multiple nodes, keeping tabs on application crashes, system temperature, power draw, ... multiple work spaces became tiring after some time. And in my use case, we were severely power limited so we wanted to get the most performance from the power we had available so good insights into the systems were crucial . But this was more for research purposes. And I'm wondering where you need these insights in the industry and you're not a nuclear power plant. Also I'm very interested in your reasoning for why you took the Mac Pro and not the Mac Studio. I'd be delighted if you shine would shine some light onto that too. Cheers AliSot2000
Yes, and Amen! Mate. It’s so good to see you back. I just about fell off the edge of my bed when I saw you have a video. Keep on doing what you do. We your viewers support you.
@@MrThaibox123 Yeah been following you since the beginning. I’ve even won one of your giveaways back in the day and you dedicated an entire video to a (looking back on it) rather embarrassing question of mine. So thank you for that. Hope all of you are well too.
You continue to have some of the most inspiring and clean setups I've seen on RU-vid over the years. There is something so wonderful about that blend of minimalist and function, I love how clean your desk is! That is what I'm trying to do. I honestly want to go back to a single high resolution ultrawide but the temptation to have something like this is just stunning, truly! I wouldn't be mad about having something like this lol If I could have as clean a setup like this I'd totally do it.
Incredible setup. Love it. Wes choose the same input: Magic Keyboard, MX Master, Magic Trackpad. I would love a video about your choice of Mac Pro instead of Mac Studio. Thanks!
Always always love your setup videos. Really interested in hearing your reasoning for this over the mac studio and for your exact reasoning you are doing 6 unique 4k screens. Would love to see your workflow. As someone who works with video daily and I'm starting to get into VMs, I can easily come up with a reason myself for that many screens (although I'm partial to ultrawide screens myself). I was planning on picking up the 2019 mac pro as it goes down in price because it actually works with multiple discrete GPUs, but it sounds like the mac silicon mac pro might be more practical in real world. Would love to see your tests, reasoning and having more discussion on it. Thank you for sharing.
@mrthaibox123, it seems you’ve managed to do a video wall of sorts, as in you can, for example, play a video using all the screens. Can you tell me what hardware/software is required for that? If you made a video about it before, please share the link or title.
What I don't get is why are the Spaces moving in 3 pieces instead of there being one giant moving animation, or one animation across all 6 displays, or 1 animation for each display? It looks as if in one swipe you're swiping through 3 different Spaces across the 6 displays. Does it have something to do with the way you configured your monitors in software?
Now that is a very nice setup! May I ask. How did you get the 6 screens line up sooooo perfect? Would you be so kind to link the brackets you used for this setup? 👏🏽. Also did you connect al 6 screens to a docking station? If so what brand are you using. Oké hope to hear from you cheers
Hi, nice setup, right now it has become a classic. My guess about the Mac pro is the simplicity to connect 6 displays, vs the Mac Studio. Nice to see you back on youtube.
Adam, if you’re a long time subscriber from the AJ show days (and before), we already know why you have 6 screens 😉👍🏻 Great to see you back on RU-vid, hope this means we will start to get more regular uploads. Used to particularly enjoy your coverage on the new iPhones, when they come out, your reviews and unboxings were fantastic 😁
Beast mode activated. Those screen's man 4k.. they look awesome....Never get bored of seing those light up in the background. So smooth looking in the demo. no lagging or glitching when moving panes through them. awesome Adam. p.s Wanna see you play mario kart on those bad boys for sure :))))))
Mr. ThaiBox, Your awe-inspiring six-monitor setup has caught my eye, and I am keen on creating a similar landscape in my workspace. My current desk spans 180 cm (or 71 inches), and I plan to upgrade my LG 32-inch monitors to a more seamless experience, possibly with the same monitors you have. The ultra-thin bezel design stands out, and I am interested to know if my desk could accommodate six of these or if a four-monitor arrangement would be more suitable. Any advice on how you've managed the mounting and sizing would be of great help, as I plan to use the Max Studio to drive this new setup. Thanks for your time and looking forward to your insights.
I use to watch this guy over 10 years ago with his 20 screen setup and than went all quiet and now his back on my feed after a decade 😂 good to see he still has the 20 screen setup
I love the new setup. Question have you ever considered switching to 6 5k or 6 6k screens? According to Apple's website the new Mac Pro can support 6 of either of those.
I am new to your channel but I already like your videos and please make a video why you have chosen the Mac Pro over the Mac Studio, and also why you’re working with 6 4K displays 😅 - looking forward to watching your videos! 😊
The only bummer about this setup is all or most of those monitors are only running 60hz (maybe your 2 monitoring hooked up via HDMI could go higher). Once you use like 120Hz or higher, 60Hz starts to feel antiquated. I was hoping with M2 and/or thunderbolt 4 would support higher refresh rates but alas its still stuck at 60Hz. Maybe a nit pick item for most but given the price I expect higher supported refresh rates for all the displays.
How he has setup the video wall like combining 6 screens into one evenly can anybody explain I am having macbook pro 2023 m3 max how can i do that with horizontal 3 screens.
Great video. You are in a very unique position, not only do you use the Mac Pro, you bought the NEWEST one! Most of us do not know anyone who needs the Mac Pro. The closest we get seeing it’s performance is a RU-vidr mocking the device as useless before they return it. For the next video, I’m very curious about whether you’re saying you simply wanted a device powerful enough to run 6 4k displays flawlessly or if your actual workload also requires it and broadly discuss what type of work that would be?
I would def like to see you pop up on my sub list on a regular again. I sit in front of 18 screens... so.... as far as to answer your choices of what we'd prefer, i'd like to see/hear what made you choose the Pro over the Studio. Got a cick out of seeing you OG setups btw.
Plus 1 for the Pro vs Studio video. Also if changing them to lower amount of 5 or 6k monitors would have made sense video. +1 on the “catch up video about your career”
Bro, how are you even living with 4K screens? LOL I’ve always liked this channel because you aren’t afraid to drop some coin on tech. It’s time to update the Dells for the 6k XDRs! Yeah I’d skip the nano glass and Pro stands LOL but it’s still going to be costly. Maybe after a few more videos! That’s the dream setup for everyone even if they say otherwise. Six 32” XDRs and a Mac Pro.
Work flow video on 6 screens would be great. I reckon I could use 5... But only 3 would be actual work and the other 2 for monitoring purposes... Not real work though
2nd video Adam! Loving it. Drop a vlog for us as well. Used to love those early morning, making a cup of tea (with milk first!) coupled with some pov driving / moaning. 😂 Big loves mate.
