Researching one of these for redundancy, appreciate the vid! Quick question: with the USB ports on it, can you connect to computer as a DAS? Or are those USB ports just acting as a hub to connect printer/jump drive etc? Thanks!
Adam, we would love a video that dives deeper into your lifestyle and more so how you support it. I remember watching a similar video back in the day where you spoke on Crypto and your taxi company as a lad. You never seem to be in the country and are clearly living a bloody good life. Some insight would be amazing. Nothing intrusive of course!
How he has setup the video wall like combining 6 screens into one evenly can anybody explain I am having macbook pro 2023 m3 max how can i do that with horizontal 3 screens.
Dude, it’s been awhile since you’ve popped up in my feed. I think one of the last videos I saw of yours you had just built that custom white desk. How long ago was that? Good to see you!
I'm very curious about the two videos you suggested. Sort of a standard thing these days - coding - I can only make use of two to three screens. (One for the IDE, one for the product I'm working on if it's a gui / website, and one for the docs). Having recently had the pleasure to take care of an HPC system, I saw the need for more monitors a lot more. Having shells open on multiple nodes, keeping tabs on application crashes, system temperature, power draw, ... multiple work spaces became tiring after some time. And in my use case, we were severely power limited so we wanted to get the most performance from the power we had available so good insights into the systems were crucial . But this was more for research purposes. And I'm wondering where you need these insights in the industry and you're not a nuclear power plant. Also I'm very interested in your reasoning for why you took the Mac Pro and not the Mac Studio. I'd be delighted if you shine would shine some light onto that too. Cheers AliSot2000
Adam, you continue to live the most beautiful life on Instagram! A proper man with a great family! Please please do a video on your ski travels, prices etc. you make me jealous with every story and I need details.
10 years later, I find myself coming back to your channel and watching these old videos. Back then, the Xperia Z Ultra was crazy and funny to look at. 10 years later, almost all devices are the same size as the Z Ultra or bigger. Sony was definitely ahead of the times back then. Even the Xperia tablets were sexier than other tablets back then. I missed these old devices. These were fun times.
Always always love your setup videos. Really interested in hearing your reasoning for this over the mac studio and for your exact reasoning you are doing 6 unique 4k screens. Would love to see your workflow. As someone who works with video daily and I'm starting to get into VMs, I can easily come up with a reason myself for that many screens (although I'm partial to ultrawide screens myself). I was planning on picking up the 2019 mac pro as it goes down in price because it actually works with multiple discrete GPUs, but it sounds like the mac silicon mac pro might be more practical in real world. Would love to see your tests, reasoning and having more discussion on it. Thank you for sharing.
You exported your video as 16:9, but it was filmed in some other wider aspect ratio. So now, there are permanent black bars on the top and bottom and I can't get rid of them Really love the CCTV setup though! It's great to see you back again
I’ve been using Muc-Off screen cleaner since I saw this video when it first dropped. They’ve since changed the formula and now it’s not as good. The alternative he put in the description is good though 👍
I'm glad you mentioned the range, as I was concerned. I am awaiting the arrival of my 4 cam set, but I also ordered a wifi extender just in case. But after listening to you I believe I may not need it. Also another commenter on another channel said that extenders may not work with it. I'll just have to wait and see.
I-box the British firm that makes all their own components not just buy Chinese-made components and cones and assemble them or get a Chinese factory to make products for them, they actually employ people to make everything in the UK, very unusual these days, and real wood cabinets 1" thick, not many people doing that now, right, the sound quality is exceptional from their in house kevlar cones and the sound is full, mid-range (human ears here 80% of all sound in the mid-range) is very good, the treble is pin clean and the bass full and deep, one thing about this company I don't like is some of the stylings, the twisted speaker looks a bit silly, the coffee table speaker they make is too gimmicky for me, some might like it I don't, , the I-Box max is just about OK with my eye but if it was squared up and boxier looking I would like it more, as it is it looks like something for a child. I did buy a set of shelf speakers from them, the oval ones with multi inputs 40 watts and they look great, very stylish and I use all the input modes and all are crystal clear, especially the optical, it is an absolutely amazing sound quality reproduction, they only cost £80 and I've listened to Denon Marantz Rotel JBM & JCB in the same physical size and 40 watts output per channel and they are not a patch on the I-Box speakers, I'm not sure why they don't get the recognition they deserve it might be that styling I mentioned, it is not to everyone's taste and if something looks a bit gimmicky people assume it is not high quality, so I-Box think about that, first impressions are everything. . . most people decide if they want some something within 3 seconds of looking at it and it is very hard to change their minds after that, impossible in most cases,
I use Eufy system for a few years now and I have mixed feelings about the overall package. I love the battery camera’s and the local storage. For basic use it’s fine. What I don’t like is the inconsistent time to connect to the doorbell/camera’s. I feel like it always lags when I need to check movements around the house and Im therefor sometimes too late to get a live feed when I need it. The activity zone is also very inconsistent between night and day - sometimes it works brilliant, sometimes it doesn’t register at all. For basic stuff it’s fine, however don’t depend on it. Just my two cents.
I'm not sure why this is such a big deal. I still ordered a set despite those issues. I really am not bothered about someone else seeing my lawn and the occasional bird. A passerby would see even more than a thumbnail on the cloud.
I was going to get a standard Ring set but definitely got my eye on these instead now, with how easy you’ve mentioned they all are - big fan of that! Great video as usual, certainly opened me up to something new and no doubt loads of others will follow suit too!
Glad to see you mate! I see you as absolutely integre honest guy - so maybe you can explain: Why the hell does every informational video on RU-vid need bs noise in the background? Seems more important than content. Ingress there’s money and or clicks for the music. Absolutely hate it.
instant thumbs up from me buddy. Those camera's look smart both in looks as well as functionality. camera's like that are not meant to be a full on 24hr security system more of a piece of mind scenario for sure. never the less, Looks to be a sound system to have.
