2023 Audi TT Final Drive: Saying FAREWELL To A Design ICON 

I had a 2001 audi tt, it was my first car ever. Bought it for $6k in 2014 when I was in the military just 20 years old. I didn't know it then but that was the best car I've owned to this day. I didn't even know how to drive manual then, had a friend drive it back for me, learned to drive it by stalling it around base at 2am late at night and watching youtube videos. Insanely fun car to drive, loved seeing friends faces smile when they first got in. Had to sell her when I left that base in 2017, had overheating issues. I still remember driving away from her in that parking lot :'(

It is so cool to hear from the designer ❤️ I loved my Mk1 (hardtop, manual, Quattro) and I love the Mk3 TTS that I own now I recently had the clear bra (PPF) redone along with a fresh ceramic coating. It gleams and every drive has this sense of occasion that NEVER gets old 🙌 Thank you for this video and thanks to everyone that had a hand in making the Audi TT go from a concept in the mid 90s into the attainable sports car it has always been 🙌 This may not seem relevant but I’m a disabled veteran and I go through bouts of depression that take away so much joy from my life. I’m so happy that I have a car that I can afford to drive and maintain - that I don’t see on every corner like many cars of today. Every time I see it in the garage or when I’m walking to or from it, I feel like a kid inside. The design of the Mk3 is such a beautiful evolution from the preceding generations. It feels like I’m in an armored car and it’s sorta weird in a good way. It’s like it’s a small car and a big one at the same time. My Miata and S2000s felt small and vulnerable on the road. The TTS feels solid and safer while having a similar footprint. The attention to detail, proportions, practicality, daily-drivability, tech, lighting, and the overall vibe of the car are just a few of the many things I love about it. The moment I saw it, I knew it was for me. The Mk3 has just the right amount of attitude without being over-the-top. I love the engine and exhaust tones (especially in Sport mode). I could go on and on. I plan on keeping my Mk3 for the rest of my life 🙌 People still think it’s a 2021+ car but it’s a 2016 ☺️ I was looking forward to the Mk4 to see how it would’ve evolved. Honestly, I’m saddened that it’s going away. In my eyes, it’s a junior halo car that should continue on

It took me until 2022 to buy a low mileage Sepang blue December 2016 TTS Coupe at the age of 69 .. ( you’re never too old to have fun on four wheels ) Great little car & I’m absolutely loving it ….😍

A piece of history that will never be repeated. Am a proud onwer of a TTS and the aim is to drive and enjoy it until I return to dust. This is a true iconic design and lucky are those in possession of it.

I was able to get the 2023 TTS about 9 mos ago. The dealership in Scottsdale was able to find me one. Love it!!!! I’ve always loved the look of the TT. Moving to Porsche next, but not trading this in, it’s beautiful.

I drove a silver 2004 tt from the bay area to sun City Arizona I absolutely had a blast it handled amazing It was tuned a bit you could hear the turbo spooling up nice ride

Never really understood why the second generation didn't do well. Totally would've got one if I could afford such a thing

The complete lack of standard, modern safety kit - even as expensive options - turned one of the last coupes available in the USA into a non-starter for many buyers. Audi has clearly had this on the chopping block for quite some time.

If you could ever find one in stock at a dealer, they would have sold a few more. I looked for months and months for one and could never find one.

I owned a mk1 from new, at the time it was amazing, but on reflection it was just a Golf in a frock. Handling was terrible and performance very average. Then I had mk2 TTS, which was better, but still a bit soft. Then I got a mk3 TTS and finally that was decent. Last one I owned was a mk3 TTRS Audi Sport Edition. The only issue that car had was poor brakes. Sold it recently and now got a 2023 RS3.

I love mine, although some of these videos oversell its ability to be a daily driver. Speed bumps and potholes are painful.

Not that Audi cares, but this is the only car they make Id consider buying, not the other rubbish for sale
