Here is our coverage of the 40th annual Alternative World Championship for Unlimited cc National Bangers at Autospeed's Smeatharpe Stadium on Saturday 22nd July.
The race took place in horrifically wet conditions despite that the opening 5/6 laps were very chaotic with a handful of big crashes on the Honition bend with #77 Aario's huge blitz on #252 Nemo and #648 Smithy destroying #282 Rowe in his Mk1 Granada.
#133 Terry Hill went on to take the victory in an excellent drive.
